INVT is a national-level high-tech company with 16 subsidiaries, whose business involves AC drive, elevator control system, industrial control, new energy, rail traction, servo and motion control, energy management, building intelligence system, etc.
The 'Caldea' at Escaldes Engordany, on the northeastern edge of Andorra la Vella. One of the most striking pieces of modern architecture I've ever seen.
It was built in 1994 and houses a complex of thermal baths and swimming pools, in addition to a shopping centre and restaurant, on three different levels. The central hub of the building is crowned by the gleaming 'silver' glazed spire, which contains a viewing gallery accessed by lift (unfortunately not operational by the time we got there).
The complex is currently in the process of being enlarged. We didn't get inside the main thermal pool rooms but at least got a taste of the ultra modern interiors from the areas still accessible.
Andorra la Vella, capital of the Principality of Andorra is a largely modern city surrounded by mountain ranges, reflected in the typography of it's street layout which is on several different levels. It was thus never a large city with so little room for expansion.
There are medieval monuments such as the ancient Casa de la Vall (the old council chamber) and the church of St Esteve (mostly rebuilt in more modern times) but the overall flavour is contemporary, owing to modern architecture and sculptures around the city.
On one side of Tatton Mere, the folks from UK Bungee were having their clients bungee jumping from the top of a 300ft crane.
As the public start to do their jump, this inverted hang looking straight down was at the peak of the rope stretching on his attempt.

This subdued sunset brought to you by the soot in the air contributed by hundreds of western wildfires. Hopefully you’ve been off grid and out of the way of these plumes. Such a Pall changes not only the air quality but the amount of solar radiation that makes it to the surface.
This image is my best try to get the scene exactly as I remembered it. The wedge of smoke from various Montana fires were moving this way. The cloud front was forming in advance of the smoke pall with the smoke moving with the front. I have seen this develop before and got the heck up the hill well over an hour before sunset. I figures that as the sun dove behind that jagged bottomed cloud, that shadow would get projected in the smoke below. The result is a fan of crepuscular rays radiating outward away from the sun well above the cloud deck. This is a fairly expansive display. Taken through a very wide lens at 24mm .
This is the second nice crepuscular display I have seen from this years smoke/brown season. They are somewhat predicatable to me but to get the ducks to actually line up is an entirely different matter lol. This would be a nice candidate for a mirror/mirror ART treatment I’m thinking… I’ll have to make a note to reflect this back on itself. I bet a nice face will appear magically.

In the course of photographing this vinca plant growing happily in one of many flower pots on my girlfriend's balcony (and for the record, also known as a periwinkle), this inverted aphid was not a part of the portrait process. At least I think this critter is an aphid. I'll stand corrected if there are any certified entomologists out there in the cybersphere. At any rate, without the slightest bit of warning, he or she appeared from the back side of the lower left leaf and became what is commonly known as a "photo-crasher" in the photographic parlance. Not a crime, officially, but oftentimes a nuisance.
Although I created a version of this shot where the aphid has been summarily removed, I had second thoughts when posting this image. Why can't an aphid have its 15 minutes of fame,
I thought? A little bit of focused attention for a very minuscule creature. Is that too much to ask in today's world of a bigger-is-always-better philosophy? After all, aphids are people too. Well,
not really. But you get the gist. All life is worthy of some degree of celebration and respect.
(Exceptions are hereby made for: Mosquitos. Ticks. Leeches
and Tapeworms. Throw in terrible automobile drivers if you like.
And, of course, career criminals, as well as other creeps and miscreants. Your list may vary. And significantly lengthen.
Lake Revelstoke. I tend to enjoy the kaleidoscope effect of inverting reflections. I Its still a panorama of a reflection of sky, mountains and forest in a lake but now its more. Its also a puzzle, a challenge to try to make sense of reality turned on its head; its disorienting. Its a self indulgent thing. BC has so much beauty.

No highlights visible before development.
This oblique inverted low level aerial image was processed with tilt shift software to draw the viewers attention to the drainage's. Inverting the photograph gives the appearance that the drainage's are rising above the desert floor. Taken from an altitude between 50' - 100' AGL from a weight shift control light sport aircraft.

I tried so hard to keep myself away from my camera at least during exams but it is pretty much worthless.
This upside down hanging fella in the store-room inspired me to shoot this time.
Day 25 - Inverted world
Today, Oliver has worked the whole day long... on his new website. I was a little bored and played with Oliver's lenses. This creates some funny effects.... You should take pictures through a second lens, that´s a lot of fun. Oliver is also ready with his work and now, we will make us a nice evening.
Heute hat Oliver den ganzen langen Tag gearbeitet... an seiner neuen Webseite. Ich habe mich etwas gelangweilt und mit Olivers Objektiven gespielt. Dabei entstehen einige lustige Effekte... Ihr solltet auch mal durch ein zweites Objektiv fotografieren, das mach viel Spaß. Oliver ist jetzt auch fertig mit seiner Arbeit und wir werden uns nun einen gemütlichen Abend machen.
