Photo of water fountains at Lowestoft in Suffolk. The shot has a very subtle blue tone, which I thought worked better than pure black and white, plus it works well with the theme of the photo.
I've got 2 versions of this photo uploaded, this one and one with the normal tones (not inverted). I'm not sure which one I like better so I thought I'd upload both and see which one proves more popular.

This is a "grid tie" inverter enabling power to be exported to the electrcity mains. The small box between the two isolating switches is the power generated meter.

Driving back to my office today I passed a park and noticed a person flying an RC Helicopter.I already take a lot of surf / beach photos so I'm always on the lookout for something different and this was perfect.
The man doing the flying had some serious skills and made this bird do what ever he wanted it to do. This wasn't an inferior kids toy he was flying.
As usual, I didn't do much research before posting this shot but the helo was about 4' from nose to tail, battery powered and even my untrained eye could tell it was built for performance.

We had to paint upside-down some, since we couldn't flip the boat back over due to wet paint on the bottom.
I had a walk in the local fields and saw one or two things that caught my eye but due to the manic puppy we had with us i kept my photography to a minimum.
These two trees were not standing out enough from the back ground so inverted it.
12V DC to 240V AC at 30W. These were designed primarily to operate the Ferris M106 portable radio in a car, but were also suitable for other appliances up to 30W that don't mind a 100 cycle supply. These inverters were also available in 6 and 32V.
Very crude, but cheap and it works!
A 5w PV charges an old 12v truck battery in the back of the van, via a charge controller, which feeds the vans interior lights and a small 240v inverter. The battery is also on a split charger from the engine which charges when the van is running.

I did shorten the forward extention up a bit before it went off to be plated.
Testing a fluorescent lamp with the inverter. The fluorescent lamp has a low power factor (0.52) so was interesting to see if the buffer capacitance was sufficient. It was.
I’m a huge fan of brass, it’s really easy to work with it and it’s perfect for my next small experiment: branding my wooden toy hordes!
I used the CNC milling cutter to get me some small brass stamps with my name engraved in it (first attempt was a miss, because i forgot to mirror inverted the letters…urgh :). With a soldering iron and some patience with the sightly goatish PEARBLOCK guys, i got the result I’m looking for!
