This is a shot from a roll of out-of-date Bergger ISO 200 black and white film. It's the first time that I have used this film and wasn't sure what to expect. Looks pretty good in Rodinal.

A photogram is a photographic image made (without a camera) by placing objects directly onto the surface of a photo-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light. The result is a silhouetted image varying in darkness based on the transparency of the objects used, with areas of the paper that have not received any light appearing light and those that have appearing dark, according to the laws of photosensitivity. The image obtained is hence a negative and the effect is often quite similar to an X-Ray. This method of imaging is perhaps most prominently attributed to Man Ray and his exploration of rayographs. Others who have experimented with the technique include László Moholy-Nagy, Christian Schad (who called them "Schadographs"), Imogen Cunningham and even Pablo Picasso. When Joy got her studio established, she invited me to take her classes at no charge. I was the only guy that came to classes consistently. Some guys might be embarrassed by that, especially since the classes were held in a pole dancing studio, but I was stoked. Aerial yoga is like playing on the monkey bars, but allows much more freedom. It's awesome for exercise, poise, strength, spinal decompression, detoxing, and overall mind/body/spiritual health.
I went twice a week for 4 months, never missing a class. By the end, my balance had improved dramatically. My upper body strength was staggering (I could literally climb a tree like a monkey). And I could do all sorts of crazy things with that hammock.
These pictures were taken at my last class before Joy left New Zealand for a few months.

Hope you enjoyed this foto, it is an inverted reflection!! The original foto was rotated 180 degrees, so the mountains you see are the reflection, not the image of the mountains. The stick on the right is actually on the lake surface, which is frozen. If you look at the sky, the clouds are actually the ice on the lake.

The red wire, where the yellow crimp is, comes from the (+) terminal connection on the inverter. The black rectangle that the red wire goes into (on the left) houses an 80 amp fuse. The other end of the fuse holder (not show) contains an identical red wire that connects to the (+) terminal on the Prius 12v battery.
The bolt with the black wire (with yellow crimp) is connected on one end to the car chassis (for grounding). The other end (not shown) is connected to the (-) terminal on the inverter. The other wire on the bolt (coming off the left side, with the white tape on it) is a preexisting part of the car and goes directly to the (-) terminal of the battery.

El Ministro de Defensa Jakke Valakivi, acompañó al Presidente Ollanta Humala en la ceremonia de graduación de cadetes y clausura del año académico de la Escuela de Oficiales de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú, en la Base Aérea de Las Palmas.
En esta oportunidad se graduaron 49 alféreces, 44 hombres y 5 mujeres, de los cuales 17 se encuentran becados en paÃses como Rusia y Brasil. La espada de honor en mérito a su desempeño académico correspondió al Cadete Renzo Martinelli Melgar.
A continuación el Presidente Ollanta Humala tomo el juramento de honor a los nuevos oficiales, tras entregarle sus respectivas espadas.
El presidente Humala destacó la formación académica recibida por los 49 nuevos oficiales y resaltó que el presente gobierno se ha esmerado por invertir en el recurso humano de manera que egresen de las aulas con una sólida base que les permita servir al paÃs desde los lugares que les toque ser asignados.
Asimismo, el Jefe de Estado resaltó la inversión en infraestructura y equipamiento del material con el que cuenta la FAP a través de modernas arnas de combate que quedaron demostrados en los recientes ejercicios militares con acciones disuasivas que aseguró, servirán para defender cada centÃmetro del territorio nacional.
En la parte final de la ceremonia aviones KT-1P pasaron raudos por el cielo en señal de saludo a las autoridades.

Thats OK though, it gives me plenty of shots like this to play around with.
With this one, very little was done. Just a crop from portrait to landscape and flip over, a quick tweak to the levels and removal of a few stray bubbles. What it is supposed to be I have no idea, but does it matter ???
To recap the lighting, 3 x Neewer SF-01 mini slave flashes, fitted with colour fliters. The two to the sides fired by radio triggers, with the third behind using the optical sensor.

There are two varieties known for this date, the rarer is the lesser-known Normal Date. The more popular but slightly more available is the Inverted Date; the only variety of this type in all of the Federal gold issues produced since 1795.
There are 50-60 pieces known in all grades with most very heavily worn. The 1865-S Inverted Date is unique in Uncirculated (an MS64 from the S.S. Brother Jonathan) and I doubt if more than 8-10 properly graded AU's are known.
This piece is very solid for the grade with pleasing natural color and enough luster and "body" to suggest a slightly higher grade. There are some scattered scuffs in the fields and typical weakness of strike at the centers; especially on the reverse.
Vibrator is a U.S. made type common in high power inverters.
Smoothflo have given it their own part number.
In school, both in art classes and photography and even now and then, I invert the image. If it looks good inverted and grayscale, maybe there is really something worthwhile.
There are certain things I will always owe a debt of gratitude to for the public library in the town I grew up in (I lived three doors down so I was what you'd call a "regular"). One of the treasures was a nearly complete collection of Chas. Addams' work in glorious over-sized hardbound tomes. If you've never experienced the gallows humor of the original Addams Family, you're really missing out. It's like a less-proper Edward Gorey, Victorian hints crossed with a bizarre "Mad Men" style. Here's a sample for your peepers!
