Done with oil pastels and neocolour wax crayons on cardboard primed with pastel ground. Sometimes the inverts of these patterns look best.
When I was at art college a very long time ago I was interested in textile design among other things and the braod based training covered a subject called "Design and colour"which I always enjoyed unless straight lines were involved!!!

Montu, an inverted roller coaster at Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, Florida, holds the record for the number of inversions on an inverted coaster with seven.

Montu, named after the Egyptian god of war Menthu, was designed by Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland - it is the park's second roller coaster designed by the company after the success of Kumba. The ride opened on May 16, 1996, and at its opening was the world's tallest and fastest inverted roller coaster. It is still one of the tallest and longest inverted roller coasters in the world. The ride stands at 150 feet tall and reaches 60 miles per hour.
The ride begins with a small dip turnaround out of the station. After the dip comes the lift hill that takes riders 150 feet into the sky. The drop then twists down 128 feet and into a 104 foot tall vertical loop, reaching speeds that go over 60 miles per hour. Following the vertical loop, an Immelmann loop comes next, and provides a 'foot chopper' element with the pylon. After completing the Immelmann, the train goes through a zero-G roll. Following the zero-G roll, riders are then flipped upside down twice during the Batwing element (a rare element found on inverted roller coasters). Following the Batwing, the trains slow down on the block brake before entering a twisting dive to the right and going through a 66-foot tall vertical loop and then into sweeping arches finishing off with a corkscrew finale. The batwing is two inversions, bringing the total to seven inversions. After the corkscrew, the 3 minute ride is over.
INVERSIONS:
The vertical loop is the most basic of roller coaster inversions. Specifically, the loop refers to a continuously upward-sloping section of track that eventually results in a complete 360 degree circle. At the top-most piece of the loop, riders are completely inverted.
An Immelmann loop is a popular inversion found on many roller coasters. In an Immelmann, riders enter a half loop and then go through a half twist and curve out in the opposite direction in which they came. The name "Immelmann" comes from Max Immelmann, a German pilot, who created the similar aircraft maneuver in World War I.
A zero-gravity roll is a roller coaster inversion, and is alternately called a "heartline spin" because its center of gravity is placed on the center of the rider's heart. The name for the roll comes from that fact that the rider feels a zero g-force, giving the feeling of weightlessness. Essentially, a zero-gravity roll is a hill with a 360 degree twist in the middle.
A batwing is a heart-shaped roller coaster inversion that consists of two loops that turn riders upside down twice. The train goes into a mini-reverse sidewinder, followed by a mini-sidewinder. The batwing has different names depending on the manufacturer - it is also called a boomerang.
The corkscrew (B&M: flat spin/ wing over) is a roller coaster inversion which most often resembles a loop that has been 'widened' in terms of the element's entrance and exit points being a distance away from each other. The main difference is that riders are inverted at a point angled 90° horizontally from the incoming track, whereas in a loop, the inversion comes parallel to the track, but traveling in the opposite direction. It is so named due to its resemblance to the corkscrew tool used to remove corks from bottles. Riders enter the corkscrew element and are transported significantly to the left or right while being flipped upside down 360 degrees.

An artpiece by artist Andrew Small entitled C marks the end of both the C2C and the W2W cycle route. Designed as a large granite monolith, the work frames Roker Lighthouse, firmly placing the scuplture in it's Sunderland location. The mirror polished finish reflects the nearby surroundings and has star constellations etched into the surface. The work was inspired by ideas that related to Bede, Europe's greatest 8th Century scholar, who calculated the motion of the Sun and the Moon to set the date of Easter which is the method that is still in place today.
Bede was born in either 672 or 673AD around Wearmouth, now known as Monkwearmouth, in Sunderland. Bede was the greatest scholar of his day. He wrote scientific, historical and theological works.His most famous work, Historia Ecclesiastica Gentis Anglorum or The Ecclesiastical History of the English People was completed in 731 AD. This is now regarded by modern scholars as the authoritative account of Christianity in England from its inception to Bede's own time.This reference in the sculpture to Bede also helps to link the artwork to the local area.
Top Inverter - Non GridTie, 400watt for use during the day to directly power things if ever needed once it's actually wired up, rather than just sitting up there.
The two middle GridTie Inverters are 300watt /600surge 120vac output, directly wired into the breaker panel to circuit breakers, one on each power phase.
The last and most impressive is the new 1200watt 220vac output GridTie Inverter wired directly to the breaker panel breakers.
In the Louvre, made famous by a scene in The DaVinci Code novel and film. Apparently, the Paris Rose Line does pass through the Louvre, but misses the Inverted Pyramid by a few hundred yards.
I felt the previous photo of this sculpture, located in the center of a cemetery in Cleveland, Wisconsin, lacked drama. Inverted in PhotoShop, levels and saturation adjustments, selective blurring added.

Playing around in PhotoShop Elements 3 with a photo taken last month in my Aunt's garden. I liked the inverted/negative effect.

When Joy got her studio established, she invited me to take her classes at no charge. I was the only guy that came to classes consistently. Some guys might be embarrassed by that, especially since the classes were held in a pole dancing studio, but I was stoked. Aerial yoga is like playing on the monkey bars, but allows much more freedom. It's awesome for exercise, poise, strength, spinal decompression, detoxing, and overall mind/body/spiritual health.
I went twice a week for 4 months, never missing a class. By the end, my balance had improved dramatically. My upper body strength was staggering (I could literally climb a tree like a monkey). And I could do all sorts of crazy things with that hammock.
These pictures were taken at my last class before Joy left New Zealand for a few months.

This connects the panels to the electricity grid.
It's a clever box of tricks that gets the maximum amount of power out of the solar panels on the roof. It also acts as a safety device, cutting off the power from the solar panes in the event of a power cut to keep the people mending the power cables safe.

This is a shot from a roll of out-of-date Bergger ISO 200 black and white film. It's the first time that I have used this film and wasn't sure what to expect. Looks pretty good in Rodinal.
