Have I mentioned how much I love my Wacom Intuos4 tablet? :)
This is the grip pen with the included base. Elegant, I think.

This is a digital blend of 5 images. Initial blend done with Enfuse, then further manual blending and finishing done in Photoshop.
Image digitally blended using at least 3 images as the light was awful at this time of day (early morning). Blending done using Enfuse LR plugin to begin with, then refined manually in Photoshop where necessary.

Digital illustration I created using my Wacom Intuos tablet, Corel Painter 2017 & Photoshop CC 2015.5. I used a digital photo I took at the Oaklawn Zoo in Aylesford, Nova Scotia.

(So I've been neglecting Flickr lately (poo!) and I'm sorry for that, I haven't posted in ages and I'm usually flash on perusing the new art from all you lovely amazing people! I'll make up for it, if it's the last thing I do! *Shakes Fist* Startin' with this post!)
ANYWAY:
Nothing like a space age portrait of a super babe called Peachblossom to finish a Friday night! Correction, nothing like watching Highschool Of The Dead (an anime) to top off a friday night; a night of pizza, listening to The Eels and The Cure whilst texting Mr.Babe (he's off seeing Converge tonight!) and talking to an old friend. Today sucked butt until I got home, I gotta say it was a pretty rad evening that redeemed the rest of my day.
So, Cadet Peachblossom... Totally cool 3D constellations and stars going on in the background with some kickass crystal scribbles! She's wearing Lime Crime 'Styletto' lippie (yup! A classic!), imaginarily she smells like raspberry and rum-cake. Some fluttery wing-like eyelashes to fly away... To the moon maybe?
She has it all!

Photoshop CS3 & Wacom Intuos 4. Textures either by me, or (the moon) free for public use.
Finished my first illustration with my new Intuos5 Touch. I'm pretty happy with her, and very very happy with my new Intuos.
2 hours speedpaint - concept to completion
Decided to set myself a timed speedpaint project, of about more or less 2 hours, spent some time chatting with my mates here and there so it went over a bit by the timer, but I think it was about that altogether :D
Very hard to resist the temptation to keep going and finish it off properly as a nice illustration piece, but I managed to restrain myself from correcting the million flaws and adding lovely details and textures everywhere..

Christmas card design for 2017. Some Christmas elves who may or may not look like me and my family :)
Created entirely digitally in Krita and using a Wacom Intuos Pro M tablet.
The inflatable gaomon is my work of last night (a long long night and very chilly) - i think the result speaks for itself - it haves a funny look XD. Gaomon itself is made of 140 vector objects in version 1.3, that's why the working time was over 10 hours. Created in CorelDRAW 13 with my new Wacom Intuos 3 Special Edition pen tablet .

Upright coner is a Mac SE.
Based on a photo I found online, of the male model David Hopkins. The photo was in black and white.
Improved in all fields, and looks alot more like the model.
Digital caricature painting of Conan O'Brien as the Elf on the Shelf. I think Conan is hilarious and wanted to submit some Fan Art. It was selected as the CocoMoCA Spotlight in the Conan Museum of Art for the week of 12/16/13.

Santa brought me the Wacom Intuos 5 tablet to make my post processing easier. I'm not sure it's easier...yet, but my buddy, Les swears by his, so I'm going to try! lol
This is a photo that I took of Nicole @ Lorne Park here in town in the summer. The post processing includes: face smoothing, but restoring pores, powder, blush, eye shadow, false eye lashes (top & bottom). I brightened her irises and added a bit of texture to them. Her lipstick was reapplied in a couple of spots and I even plucked her eye brows a bit. lol Thanks to Les, for the eyelash brushes....they are so cool and I know the ones I used are a little over the top, but they're fun!

Commissioned digital portrait.
Second commissioned assignment. I like how the trees pop here.
Entirely drawn with my handy Intuos Wacom tablet (6"X9") in Photoshop CS2. Completed: 2008.07.29.
Fictional ad for the Wacom Intuos 4. Recreated entirely from scratch in Photoshop CS4. Almost entirely vector. You can see my mouse trails for making of just the tablet, in my Photostream [image preceeding this one].
This is my desk at my new home in London. As you can see, the 27" iMac is gone. It has been replaced with a 13" Macbook Air, with an i7 1.8ghz, 4GB of RAM and 256GB SSD harddrive. It is surprisingly fast, and apart from the screen, I don't miss the 27" iMac much. New are the speakers, a pair of B&W MM-1. Expensive fuckers, but the sound is fantastic. They're not very loud, but the sound is pure quality, much thanks to the built-in DAC I imagine.
A retry of the Beatsteaks singer.
What I find pretty amazing is that as a reference I used an absolutely blurry still of one of the Beatsteaks videos where you would not even recognise the eyes or much other facial features.
You just see this open smile and the headshape. And I feel the similarity is a lot better than in my first try.
Which leads me to a trick that Tom Richmond freely gave on his nice blog as an advice to his students. If you have problems of finding the main features of a face for a caricature, pinch your eyes. The things you keep seeing are the main-features.
And let me tell you... I tried this guy at least three times before and could not get him right in any way.
Anyhow, a friend had the chance to meet the singer Arnim and told him I was trying caricatures of him. He gave her his email and said she should send it.
Now I am pretty excited about the reaction ;=)
