I ordinarily avoid photos of kids in public as they can present one of those hazy areas about which people can get touchy.
In this one, however, the little girl in the fedora is unrecognizable as just her (very expressive) eyes are visible as she's navigating an iPad at the Apple Store. The recurrence of elements in threes also appealed to me.

Adventures in Seeing # 4 - Tap into your intuition.
This morning I took the long way round to go to the shops. I meandered in side streets. I passed a low wall with an open-mesh fence and was thrilled to see all the little seed pods which had fallen since the last snow fall. I squeezed my cameras lens through the criss-cross metal railings to take several shots. There were three that I really loved, but I chose this one because it had been so well arranged by nature, just like a still-life. I couldn't have done it better myself. It was perfect!
I had a happy feeling when I saw these little pods and leaves and fallen moss. It has made my day. I had no preconceived ideas when I left home - and I found a treasure!
Donna and I assembled a selection of four of her recent Embrodery works to be juried into the annual Metro Montage exhibition at Marietta’s art museum. She’s been creating pieces like these since early this year. Most of them are approximately 9 x 12 inches, with one being two inches longer.
✨Intuitive Art commission!✨
So recently I’ve opened art commission work that’s very personal to my clients, by using my intuition and creativity as a tool to uplift your energy. A recent client wanted me to paint something that would bring her healing, joy, and abundance. So this is the image I saw in my mind for her so I painted this one! Intuitive- Using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive
I am very good at seeing people for what they really are.... even if it's only talking to them for a few minutes (I don't even need to see them to be able to read them). This is what makes me so good in Human Resources. When I interview people, I can quickly pick up on what type of person they are. Within 5 minutes of talking to someone I can tell if they are going to be a successful employee or if I'm wasting my time.
Sadly, with a few people, I tried to not listen to my intuitive side. I tried to give them the extra chances to prove their true motives, feeling and/or intentions. It ended up being pointless and true colors were shown. Shame on me for doubting myself. Lesson Learned =)
*** I am so excited for today. After breakfast I am going to explore the county and enjoy the weather. Keep your eye out. Should be pics coming soon ***

Intuitive Machines - IM-2 - Athena Lander (Nova-C Class)- Last image from the lunar landing zone - Magnification and reconstruction via AI.
This is our version, via our artificial intelligence models, of the last image from Intuitive Machines Mission 2 (IM-2)
The NOVA-C-class lander Athena succeeded in the most southerly lunar landing ever, but this time the lander also lay on its side.
We attempted a calibration of the image by trying to visually preserve every piece of the lander.
The file is available at 37.86 million pixels for download at a resolution of 7128x5312 pixels.

obviously, i was intuitively inspired by the perpetually fascinating miss rosie hardy. thanks to her for letting it out.
since this is an 'out-take' i suppose it will make sense that i tell you a side-story. these were taken at this place called sea ranch, which is on the great highway in northern california. it is an incredible place. i clambered up and down over these big ass black rocks on the edge of the pacific ocean; i mean, it was a pretty surreal experience in itself. i later went down to the shore again when i realized i didn't have any pictures of birds, which i saw i needed once i sat down and looked at these, so i went to this sort of flat rocky area to find some gulls. it was low tide and there were starfish stuck head first (what do i know?) into cracks in the rocks. there were bright green sea anemones growing next to this pinkish stuff and there were empty green fingers and barnacles, which were hard to avoid stepping on. then i heard a sort of sneeze to my left and i turned around and there were leopard seals! some were bobbing there heads up and down in the water and a few were on the rocks. there were also birds. lots of birds. just sitting on the rocks, keeping an eye out for some snacks.
The past two days I was on a little journey with my love and then
I managed to meet this incredible girl there. I´m still speechless
concerning her natural beauty. Honestly, she is mind-blowing.
Can´t wait to show you more.
Those days make me so happy, i can´t even stand my excessive
happiness.

Just adding this note for those interested in the techie stuff; this was taken on my Nikon F4, on 400asa film
I am such an impulsive/intuitive photographer and after all the years, I do things by 'feel', like driving a car, you know what I mean, but I'll try. I'd say f 4.5, 1/30 of second. Of course on a tripod and with cable release. I was way behind the crowd on a small hill, with a long lens probably between 200/250.
The result also depends on the film and sensitivity.
Photographic film is a sheet of plastic (cellulose acetate) coated with an emulsion containing light-sensitive silver halide salts (bonded by gelatine) with variable crystal sizes that determine the sensitivity and resolution of the film.
Colour film uses at least 3 layers, I now use film with 4.
Dyes added to the silver salts make the crystals sensitive to different colours. During development, the silver salts are converted to metallic silver, as with black and white film. The by-products of this reaction form coloured dyes. The silver is converted back to silver salts in the bleach step of development. It is removed from the film in the fix step.
Hope that helps and enjoy, Magda, (*_*)

A short bike ride delivers an abundance of Serviceberries, American Red Currants, and Black Raspberries. If you know where to look, you will find what you are looking for. Here is a quote from Stephen Buhner's book The Secret Teachings of Plants:
"Our mothers intuitively understood something essential: the green is poisonous to civilization. If we eat the wild, it begins to work inside us, altering us, changing us. Soon, if we eat too much, we will no longer fit the suit that has been made for us. Our hair will begin to grow long and ragged. Our gait and how we hold our body will change. A wild light begins to gleam in our eyes. Our words start to sound strange, nonlinear, emotional. Unpractical. Poetic."

After a successful launch on Feb. 15, six NASA science instruments and technology demonstrations continue their journey to the Moon aboard Intuitive Machines’ lander named Odysseus. The company confirmed communications contact with its mission operations control in Houston, and its lander continues to perform as expected.
Known as IM-1, Intuitive Machines successfully transmitted its first images back to Earth on Feb. 16. These were captured shortly after separation from SpaceX’s second stage, on Intuitive Machines’ first journey to the Moon as part of the agency’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative and Artemis campaign.
All powered NASA science instruments on board the Intuitive Machines Odysseus lander have completed their transit checkouts, received data, and are operating as expected, including LN-1 (Lunar Node 1). LN-1 has made three successful passes with NASA’s Deep Space Network, establishing real-time communications with ground stations on Earth. The anticipated landing time is now 4:24 p.m. EST on Thursday, Feb. 22.
This image is a view of Earth captured by a 186-degree wide field of view camera aboard Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C lunar. The start of this image sequence occurred 100 seconds after separation and lasts for two hours.

Intuitively, defining poverty doesn't seem necessary: we know it when we see it. But while we can probably agree that the inhabitants of Dickensian slums were in poverty, in many cases today things aren't so clear cut.
It's partly because of this difficulty that there are several measures available. The main government figures are for absolute and relative poverty, measured before and after housing costs.
Although the figures produced by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) are referred to as measuring relative and absolute low income, it's common to refer to them as measures of poverty (for example, in the Child Poverty Act or at Prime Minister's Questions).
Relative poverty
Relative poverty generally means that a person can't afford an "ordinary living pattern"—they're excluded from the activities and opportunities that the average person enjoys.
A household is in relative poverty (also called relative low income) if its income is below 60% of the median household income.
The median is the number 'in the middle' of a set—so half of all households earn more than the median income household, and half earn less.
Absolute poverty
Absolute poverty is slightly trickier. The definition used by a number of international organisations (such as the UN and the World Bank) is that you cannot afford the basic needs of life—food, clothing, shelter and so on.
This is absolute in the sense that it’s measured relative to a fixed standard of living, rather than the rest of the population.
This isn’t the definition used by the UK government.
Confusing !

NASA has selected three commercial Moon landing service providers that will deliver science and technology payloads under Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) as part of the Artemis program. Each commercial lander will carry NASA-provided payloads that will conduct science investigations and demonstrate advanced technologies on the lunar surface, paving the way for NASA astronauts to land on the lunar surface by 2024.
The selections are:
• Astrobotic of Pittsburgh has been awarded $79.5 million and has proposed to fly as many as 14 payloads to Lacus Mortis, a large crater on the near side of the Moon, by July 2021.
• Intuitive Machines of Houston has been awarded $77 million. The company has proposed to fly as many as five payloads to Oceanus Procellarum, a scientifically intriguing dark spot on the Moon, by July 2021.
• Orbit Beyond of Edison, New Jersey, has been awarded $97 million and has proposed to fly as many as four payloads to Mare Imbrium, a lava plain in one of the Moon’s craters, by September 2020.
All three of the lander models were on display for the announcement of the companies selected to provide the first lunar landers for the Artemis program, on Friday, May 31, 2019, at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.

At last! A 2018 damselfly. This is a female Powdered Dancer (Argia moesta) photographed along Buffalo Bayou, close to downtown Houston.
Compared to 'larger' wildlife such as animals and birds, it is always relatively difficult in America to find information on insects. So I am not surprised to find nothing on the effects of Hurricane Harvey on either butterfly or dragonfly populations. Nevertheless it is abundantly clear to me that the triple whammy of Harvey, plus two severe winter cold snaps have badly impacted on these insect populations in south Texas.
Even in the first month of the year, butterflies and dragonflies are usually seen. January 2018? ZERO. Yet now in mid-April, by which time there should be large numbers, few species and few individuals are being noted. Powdered Dancer was indeed the only odonata found at a Buffalo Bayou site usually teeming with dragonflies and damselflies.
Reasons? It sounds counter-intuitive for odonata that need water! However, my guess is that widespread, severe flooding last August and September washed away both the vegetation and larvae vital to the future emergence of this year's populations. Any that survived were then hit by a double freeze up in mid-winter. To be positive, these are native insects, used to millions of years of hurricane and flood. In fact, they are adapted to survive such natural disasters far better than they are to the concreting over of the conurbation.
