Central Park Labyrinth is an eleven-circuit labyrinth patterned after the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral in France. The labyrinth is made from concrete with a pattern added to the surface with burnt sienna coloured concrete. Located in the northeast corner of Central Park across from the Rotary Youth Centre, Central Park Labyrinth is the first wheelchair accessible labyrinth in Canada. A labyrinth is an ancient geometric pattern that has just one path that leads into the centre and back out again. 1. Q; talk to me: OK, what an interesting idea, and here's one that has been bugging me -
Is our sense of beauty in art primarily ancestral, or is it primarily learnt? Does our evolved preference for savannah like scenes, beautiful (healthy) faces and bodies, food, safety and comfort act as a foundation for all of our learned preferences in art, or is it a primary filter through which we view everything, at least on some level? Or can other fundamental metaphors, learned more than inherited, and cultural more than evolved, be a completely separate basis for artistic delight and WOW! The question is inspired by (for me) the surprising uniformity in artistic preference across cultures, exemplified by flickr. Appreciation of much art (although not all derivative, modernist and minimalist forms) seems somewhat universal - we intuitively enjoy Chinese architecture, Afrikan sculpture, or Japanese art, even if we don't have the cultural reference points to understand it.
A: I don't even know where to begin.
In my sleep-deprived state coupled with the garden-variety summer lethargy, all I can seem to say is that is such an impressive question, I think trying to answer it would never do justice to its tidy profound perfection.
I am going to answer this in a bit, after I have warmed up...
2: Q: talk to me: What makes a photograph interesting to you? How does a photographer or contact hold your interest?
A: That is one I can't answer.
Sometimes it makes a lot of sense, if the person is a great photographer and they have a lot to teach, and others out of habit. Many (if not most) of my contacts truly hate flower macros, and yet they have politely lasted through my most painful and protracted attempts. If they hang in there, they have won me over. This is the litmus test, whether they one day send me a raging e-mail in all caps threatening flag my photos if there is ONE MORE OVERSATURATED LILY.
I am sure their fingers have hovered over the "remove this contact"option more than a few times.
These are my friends, and I respond in kind~
3.Q: How was the shower?
A: It was awesome.
I went an hour out of the city to a friend's house and we sat on sawed off lawn chairs staring at the sky and talking until we were covered with dew. The meteors were everywhere, just never where I had pointed my camera.
Ever.
And I probably had all my settings wrong, but the night was good, the company wonderful, and I can pretend there was cloud cover...

A: I don't think I have a best, or at least it keeps changing (in my opinion)
I never have any problem getting to the next one. It's a question of doing it in a way that does not irritate everyone around me.
I do have a problem with the grim desaturation of winter, though. I lose a lot of inspiration when the sun is cold and bare.

absolutely aligned straight tele lens photo - nevertheless the artist Ulrike Kazmeier keeps her balance and "circumscribes" her sculpture with her body ... ;-) ...
Ulrike Kazmaier creates works that at first glance have little connection with each other in terms of form.
The connection, however, is the mental process that inspires them.
The artist borrows details from a variety of historical works of art, although not as such, but as translated by some medium of reproduction. Kazmaier repeats this process or zooms to extreme close-up, which may reveal for example the bright variety of colors in the pixels of Renaissance paper.
Pixels in turn become an abstract tile mosaic. Work with other details shows other possibilities of translation, which as it turns out are infinite. In the era of digital appropriation and technical reproducibility, almost anything is possible and perhaps for this reason Kazmaier looks for ways to ground existing objects anew in some tangible reality.
In doing so, she re-creates them into new, visually elegant abstract works.

My process is intuitive drawn immediately from life my memories or dreams. It is a mirror of self with things l feel closely connected to. It is by no means an easy process that can take hours days weeks even months before the perpectival moment emerges . I am not interested in perfect anatomical drawings but more the essence and expression of the thing.It takes time before l am transported to the perspectival zone that strips away everything down to what l see feel closely connected to at the time from real things like a moment, dream or memory.
On behalf of all woman who are suffering in the world. You are a strong and powerful. vulnerability is your power. ln your love and tenderness, you are a powerful presence of being. Don't let them reduce your essence. Freedom resides deep within You!!
I am thinking about humanity in art and the struggles many artists woman face in their art/ life. That ,pain we feel suffering real things that empower art the energy that moves resides deep within you that ignites it, We mustn't lose our essence, listen to your inner voice that helps you stay true and be free to express yourself as an artist creator an individual. On a rural road in Saskatchewan, while the warm setting sun glances off the energized tundra, I ponder the lush prairie ground I've set foot. Dizzying to count the locations and imprints.
Places I'm certain others have walked, danced, and experienced. It's a sacred feeling I intuitively feel.
Many of them have gone on before us towards another journey.
Perhaps one day when others will stand in these quiet places I've been in awe, then inhale everything the prairies encapsulate, they'll contemplate these same questions. Then mull if anyone had packed a camera simply for the joy of photography. An immortal moment. That's not all so common.

I acquired this beautiful Contax RX (circa 1995) at an Estate Sale a couple of years ago. The woman I acquired it from was liquidating her deceased husband's vast camera collection. In addition to the camera I also picked up the Contax TLA 360 flash, shown here at 5 Carl Zeiss lens. I've posted several images that I've taken with this camera here on my page and I am very happy with how the camera performs. It is a bit intimidating at first because of all the knobs and controls, but after handling it a few times the controls are intuitive and easy to operate. The seller was very pleased to know that I would be using the camera and I stay in contact with her through social medium.

Das mittlerweile schöne Wetter mit viel Licht und Schatten ermutigt mich wieder einmal in meiner - nicht wirklich schönen - Innenstadt von Bochum auf die Suche nach "DEM guten Photo" auf die Suche zu gehen.
Diesmal mit der Leica M11 Monochrome und dem Leica Super Elmar 21mm, F3.4.
Ich versuche Street und Architektur und Licht und Schatten ganz intuitiv - wie es sich gerade in der kurzen Mittagspause darstellt - einzufangen. Und das mit meinen begrenzten eigenen photographischen Fähigkeiten....
