“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.”
― Robert Lynd
Busting out this early animated sculpt HPMD classic.
If you alienate the people who support you, they will stop supporting you.
I've seen a lot of places come and go in the four years I've been active on SL. Support is essential to a sim, yes, and so is keeping the lines of communication open.
Cold and empty, or soulless, are words no one ever needs to use to describe a place they've visited.
I've seen beautiful sims that had piss poor customer service if you will, and also seen some of my favorite places close because they lost interest or could not stay open due to cost.
And you can't say anything to anyone on SL because people can't take constructive criticism without taking personal offense. A lot of sims thrive on being social, and on support. I like to support sims that have provided me an escape and especially in the past year.
This is just me saying support goes both ways.
I'm not saying you have to speak to everyone all the time. I'm an introvert, and if I am having quiet time I prefer to keep it that way. I'm just saying let people know you appreciate them, appreciating you and your work. I hope that makes sense, because it's late, and I'm tired. ♥
Happy weekend, everyone, and I hope it’s off to a beautiful start. I was in the mindset to do something quiet last evening, so little Boom and I went out exploring. By nature, I am very introvert and can retreat into my own world almost too easily.
It's the truth that we all have many facets, and it’s wonderful, the sum of these things that make us who we are. Some parts of us are vibrant and effusively positive and we clearly see how they are of use in helping and uplifting others, and some parts we see as more challenging, the things we use to grow and learn from. For me, a quiet mood shift lets me know that my mind and heart need to recharge, and I always know I will come out on the other side of it quickly and with a vastly rejuvenated spirit.
So, a little bit of rambling from me … but also a soft reminder that when you find yourself feeling a bit down, not to be too hard on yourself. Be as kind to yourself as you are to all of those you love and care about. Quiet moods have lessons in them, and after we work through them, we gain a little bit more strength and the renewed ability to enjoy all of the wonderful things again even more! Faux psychologist Ali says it is so! hehe xoxo 💕❤️
When l was a young news photographer (first job, 1965), another shooter on our paper maintained those who used telephoto lenses were basically introverts whereas wide angle shooters were more extrovertists. Maybe there's something to that. l liked to scan a scene through a long lens and pick out individuals in the crowd. We called that head-hunting back in the day.

I am moving this shot to the top of my photostream and choosing it for the Your Best Shot of 2022 group. "Best" is a very subjective term. After going through all my posted photos, including many personal faves, I was happiest rediscovering this one. It didn't get as many faves as the ones that made it into Explore, but I think it deserves a second chance at being seen.
I shot this on an elevated subway platform in Queens, on my way home after spending a delightful day in Manhattan alone (by choice) for my birthday, wandering around taking photos, visiting the Museum of Modern Art and seeing a performance of Hamilton: An introvert's dream. #YBS2022 #YBSUrban22 #YBSThroughHerLens22

"Nicknamed the 'International Express,' the 7 kicks off on Main Street, in Flushing, Queens; cuts through East Asian, Latino, South Asian, and other immigrant locales; and terminates in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. In 1999, the White House Millennium Council deemed it a National Millennium Trail for being a testament to the immigrant experience." ~ www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-04-24/how-the-7-trai....

Cropping is very subjective. This is one of those cases where the square crop (of my previous image) has a different visual impact, in my opinion. What do you think?
I have so many favorites, and I love them so much for so many different reasons and I didn't think recreating them in SL could do them justice.

"She was always an introvert, but at her core there had been something vital and alive, something that even she wasn’t totally aware of. That light, that radiance used to leak out by itself, emerging from between the cracks."

ps: meu pai sempre teve boas definições a meu respeito: "A Flávia é como uma melancia, verde por fora, vermelha por dentro". E a cada aniversário eu recebo palavras de um homem que conhece todas elas ;)
"Elas surgem pequeninas, indefesas, absolutamente dependentes.
A terna e a romântica.

Settling into my new home in Ahiru. I'm in LOVE with this sim.

Karlsruhe Pride (CSD) 2023 - "Stand Up. For Love"
Street / people photography is definitely way out of my comfort zone (as I'm a very shy / introvert person). But yesterday, on a whim, I took my camera with me when I was heading out to the Pride celebration here in my city. Glad I did : )
Peace, Love, and Understanding ❤️
Happy Pride Month !

Inspiration hits at the funniest of times. I was having a week wishing I could literally just hide from the world and just do the Introvert healing.. so made a comment if only "I could put a paper bag over my head and hide..." and this weeks theme idea was born.
Thank you yet again to an amazing soul for encouraging my silliness and helping me to concoct this picture for this weeks theme photo. (sorry not quite a one shot ... but close only 3) ♥
Who's That Girl? Might you be wondering?

🎼: Out of Sight ~ Citizens ~ ** This song was picked because I love the tune**
Out of sight, out of mind
If no one speaks, then we'll be fine
Forget the blood, just give it time
The more we wait, the more it dies
And when I see a mirror on the wall
I look, but don't see any fault
I've been told so many times that it's my pride
But no, it's an issue with their eyes
Well every night I go to bed alone
So what, it's all I've ever known
No one wants to see me as the victim too
Who cares, they can see it as they choose
Silence
Hide in silence
Quiet
We can fight this
Silence
Hide your silence
Quiet
Just keep silent
Ok full disclosure: I went to a beach and tried to surf.
It's hard. I got a few unfortunate shots of my wobbly butt and decided to go home and channel surf instead. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Happy almost weekend everyone! I have been doing lots of exploring in the SL realms, and I’ve been in sort of a modern fairytale kinda mood vibe recently.
As a child, just like now, I was introvert to the max and I lived in my own happy world. If I wasn’t out riding horses, playing with dogs, or being my grandfather’s trusty sidekick and helper on the farm, I was in one of my secret hiding places, reading. I loved immersing myself as the feisty, tomboy heroine of my favorite stories, always involving misty moors, dreamy landscapes, and yep, you guessed it, lots of animals.
This photo kinda captures all of those feelings for me. I’m still my very happiest pretty much just like this.
Sending love … 💕❤️
We are the most interesting group of introverts you could possibly put into one room... but we are a great bunch to get to know... We come from just all over the world yet here we are ..

This is my second time on flickr, I started back in 2012,
I needed a change so I started anew, clean slate new beginning, today, I am pausing and reflecting on my jounery
Being a submissive, I would say authenticity reigns supreme. It is not merely about surrendering control, but about embracing the true essence of who I am. I do what makes me up, delving deep into the recesses of my soul to uncover the raw, unfiltered truth that lies within. It is a journey marked by vulnerability, courage, and an unwavering commitment to self-discovery.
There have been moments when doubt has clouded my path, casting shadows upon my journey, times I felt very isolated and alone, its not easy to pack a punch, as an introvert with a small circle. Society's whispers of judgment and misunderstanding have remained with me, threatening to derail me from the correct course. Yet, in the face of adversity, I have found strength in the power of my authentic voice.
I tell my story not as a mere recollection of events, being in a long term submssive relationship, and engading ofthen in S&M play, I find is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit- my spirt. It is a story woven with threads of passion, desire, and unwavering determination. Through the art of photo stories, I reclaim my narrative, casting aside the shackles of societal expectations to embrace the true essence of my submissive nature.
thank you for 3000 followers, my story continues...
"When I look in the mirror, I am slightly reminded of self-portraits by Durer and by Rembrandt, because they both show a degree of introspection. I see some element of disappointment; I see a sense of humour, but also something that is faintly ridiculous; and I see somebody who is frightened of being found out and thought lightweight."
- Robert Winston
Thank you friends and adored ones that helped me do this thing. I hope y'all had as much fun watching as I did doing it. Thank you Avery for making the group. It has been reeeeeal. *crawls under something*

I want to take a moment to thank all the wonderful people who have trusted me with blogging their creations, to all those who have given me tips and answered my never ending questions.
I have a very stressful, IT job in RL and by nature am an introvert, so I often don't think about all the blessing I have nor am I comfortable expressing my gratitude. I am also very shy about reaching out to my SL Community.
I have been loving Second Life since 2008 and it has never been better for me than it is now. I owe that to all my SL friends and supporters.
Have a wonderful holiday and may 2019 be your best year ever - Augusta
solitude
I took Flea out to the woods today. I had originally thought to take a new trail (to me) out to this waterfall but the forecast was for rain and it looked like the weatherman was on the ball today. (As of this writing, it still hasn't rained.) I had it in my head to shoot this spot for ODC's topic "can't live without". This was my intention for a multitude of reasons.
The ecosystem is something none of us can live without. Water is something no living thing can live without. For me, as an introvert, a chance to get away from the noise of civilization is essential for me to recharge and deal with people when I must. A place like this one is an blessing I could live without but I don't want to do so. The noise of the rapids drowned out all sounds from the town a few kilometers away and I always feel lighter and happier when I get home from wandering along this rapid. The temperature was perfect for the sojourn today; even if the weather prevented me and wee Flea from hiking as far as I hoped.
Eve actually playing the ukulele in Seattle complete with construction noise in the background.

FIFTY down! Fifty to go...
seclusive (adjective)- preferring to be alone, away from other people
Welcome to my little corner of the web!
My name is Molly, and I live near Lake Michigan in Wisconsin with my husband, Mike, and our four rescue cats—Floki, Ivar, Torvi, and Olaf—along with the spirits of several other cats and dogs we’ve loved and lost.
I chose Seclusive Nature as my handle because Mike and I are very introverted and feel most at peace in solitude—whether we’re at home or in the wild.
Mike and I both have wanderlust in our veins and love to explore. We’re also huge fans of all animals, which is the main reason we went vegan in 2006. Our vegan journey has been an adventure of its own, and we’ve enjoyed it tremendously!
I’m an avid reader, a bit of a notebook and bandana junkie, and a fervent nature lover. I’m also quite fond of street art and a firm believer in embracing your wild.
Flickr is the only platform I’m active on. I use it as a creative outlet, a visual journal, a microblog, and a way to organize my photos and videos. While I’m not here for the social aspects, I hope my posts bring some joy to others.
You can find more posts that have a bit about me here- www.flickr.com/photos/seclusivenature/albums/721777203195...
About this photo- We hiked from our campsite in Copper Falls State Park to Red Granite Falls and stopped at Loon Lake to have a snack. It was a perfect day!
