Birdie and I found a hidden away little patch of solitude as we wandered, so we rested in the overgrown grass and hid away from the world. Many times in life, this is exactly what I’d like to do. I’m an introvert of the highest order. I’m not socially inept, (haha....hmmm, okay, questionable!) but I’m very socially detached...not the same as distanced, that’s what all of us have been this year. Flickr is an exercise in challenging myself to dive into new things and not overthink, which is, of course, a classic hallmark of most true introverts. Thank you to all of my amazing friends here, you encourage me in ways you are probably not even aware of, and that’s a huge gift to me. 💕🌸🐶

My little friend and I thought we would get glammed up and go for a walk through the forest. I put on a sassy red frock for the occasion, and this cute fellow always proves to be the perfect accessory. He he looks so pretty picking up the colors of the flowers and trees, and even glimmers of scarlet from my dress! I wish I was half as able to fit into my surroundings as he is. Any time I am in a situation that makes me feel out of place, introvert that I completely am, I would love to do exactly as he does, and quickly blend right into the scenery! "It's easy." he says. Well, maybe so for you little gecko, but not quite as easy for me!

Planting seeds by giving encouragement to one another is like giving fertilizer to someone else's soul and spirit. It does good and it creates inner growth and motivation in the person who receives the encouragement.
I know this from my own experience, in meeting others in real life but also here on Flickr and inside our Second life world. from both sides, by giving and also receiving.
Seeing others and giving encouragement can have a huge impact and make a big difference. I think it's what we are doing here for each other on Flickr. Lifting each other up and acknowledging each others potential and talent by motivating each other.
Of course, we all have different preferences of what we like and don't like, that will always be the case, but being able to lift others up and make them flourish and believe in themselves is a joy for both the recipient and the giver. At least that's how I feel.
It gives me just as much joy to give as it does to receive encouragement, if not even more joy to be able to give. Seeing someone flourish, thrive and blossom is a great joy. That is also why I decided to have my own groups here on Flickr, to be able to motivate and inspire others to continue to be creative and share their pictures, or continue to make their creations, whether it is building a sim with a beautiful landscape, for all of us to enjoy, be it creating clothes, eyes, poses, shapes, decorations, furniture, just to name a few.
I believe that by giving uplifting feedback in the form of faves, sharing encouraging words, award others, share thoughts, or emoticons. It doesn't matter, a word an expression can often mean so much more than we realize. In other words, it doesn't take much to make someone else's heart and soul smile and feel joy, or make them feel mastery and feel good enough, or make them feel they are appreciated and that they make a difference. A little attention, love, care, recognition can make a huge impact on another person, I believe that in this way, small seeds can bloom so beautifully in the meadow, together with all the other flowers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, my almost 4000 followers who have chosen to be part of my Journey here on Flickr, but also to those who have just visited my Flickr. You all make a difference. I am so grateful for each on of you. Thank you for all the love, joy and uplifting encouragement I have received from you over the years here, without you I probably wouldn't have continued to share my pictures here. I just want to let all of you who have been part of my journey here know, that you have given me endless joys, lots of laughter, moved me to tears, as well as giving me a chance to blossom and grow. Happily puttering about on the farm ... daydreaming, picking Georgia peaches (always peaches!) kissing the horses on their soft velvety noses, scampering with the sheep, frolicking with bunnies, growing magical things in the greenhouse, shoveling manure ... some things are admittedly more idyllic than others!
I am a homebody and introvert of the highest order...in any life imaginable. I find my joy in the peace and beauty of nature, in wide open spaces, in true friendship, in the unconditional love of horses and dogs (okay, in beer and tequila too!) and lest we forget, in college football! Go Dawgs!!! These things, to me, are all of the sweetest gifts from the universe.
I hope everyone has a safe weekend and finds joy wherever you travel, even if that is just from your front porch to the barn! Happy Easter! 🐣💖
I hope everyone's weekend is wonderful and in full on happy mode! It has been stormy in Georgia today. Here in SL, I am off to a bougie soiree, but before heading out, I dashed through the farm's guest cottage kitchen where I stash my peach vodka to grab a few bottles to get me through the night. Introvert/lush/I'd rather stay home coping mechanism.
And the guest kitchen has been newly glamourized with gleaming coppery beauty thanks to gems from my dear friend Bambi's nostalgic kitchen collection! It adds the perfect elegant mixed with rustic touch, and I so love this gleaming copper! Bambi is such a brilliant whirlwind of landscaping, decor and everything in between creativity, and is truly all around wonderful, generous and kind on top of that. Her Melody sims and her Oh Deer shop are must visits in the SL realms! 💖

The spaces in an aspen grove exert a pull. One near a stand of these trees desires to enter and be amongst them, an introvert at home in a quiet gathering.
Exploring in Secondlife and doing photos is my all time favorite past time. Despite being an introvert, this is one thing I embrace and it is something I have been learning more and more about.
Trying new windlights etc... all part of a passion to learn, explore and create.

Back to the introvert thing, this is pretty much my method of operation in every life. I have no desire to be the life of the party, but I do like to knock back a few margaritas and observe the party!
Punky and I found a clubby place while randomly wandering about in SL...not a direction I usually gravitate towards, but this setting was really nifty, and bonus, there was nobody there when we scampered through! So we are basically observing nothing but a few potted palms and pretty lights here. And we look as if we are pondering things of great significance! But no, I am really just pondering the beauty of good tequila. :)

Hi everyone! Happy new week! I know I have been a bit quiet over the last several days, a bit of a blue mood that I am sure will lift in the days ahead. Thank you to my dear Flickr friends who constantly lift me up with love, true friendship and the sharing of the beauty in your lives. I know I am blessed.
I was feeling introspective (and of course, ever the introvert) so I perched here in my garden, feeling mopey and lackluster, when this guy bounded over for the sole purpose of making me smile and letting me know that he was always there when I needed a hug or a lick! Dogs are pure joy, pure love. I know I tend to be with them in a lot of the images I create, but they make me happy, and truth be told, I know that they make a lot of us happy. Furry gifts from above they are!

A year ago I used to be 62% Extrovert.
How have times changed me or is it due to the pandemic? I have become more introverted than before. Somehow I treasure my alone time more than I used to.
I still consider myself an outgoing person but now I only focus on spending time with those closest to me.
I guess I'm socially selective now

I read a photography blog a little while back, it in regards to photographers finding their niche, as in what works best for them. It can take a while and I am proof of that, for now two years I've been a hobbyist photographer that will hopefully soon go professional. The niche I have discovered is nature, I want to eventually look toward concept photography but for now, I feel I get a better response here on Flickr and in my own heart so to speak when out in the rural areas, capturing the abundant availability of images that Gaia has to offer.
After all everyone else is doing portraits and it personally bores me, I see people every day and so I long to escape in my own art from such categories. I know, Introvert at your service!
Now to the actual photo, it was another from Shierke where I was spoilt for choice and this Autumnal dying bush plant caught the Sunlight so well I couldn't pass it up. Reducing the background and keeping some of the Autumn oranges and reds I could bring forth the dreary nature of such as is the change in the Seasons.

Dear Pen Pal,
I apologize if you had to wait for too long for a new letter. I have been busy. Last week my family and I celebrated Ostara. Granny pushes us to keep the traditions alive! Ostara is celebrated on the Spring Equinox. Granny and dad prepare a feast while my mum and my brother prepare the garden so we can start planting seeds. I like to sneak out and spend a few hours by myself. I am a bit of an introvert, and spending time alone helps me to recharge. I enjoy spending several hours reading a book and watching my pets as they play.
