I made this years ago and would stare at it and play music and think of how to get the kind of pictures of jockeys that I wanted. This is all photographs from photographers I admire. I was also thinking of Walker Evans when I made it, and I think it looks fabulous with my antique tubemetal bed. I was dreaming.

The final design included a combination of wall and floor treatments complementary to the product displays, floor to ceiling color specifications, classic brick walls and columns, custom overhead grids, upscale historic simulated neon department signs, high resolution printed murals and wall coverings, custom chalkboard displays, and simulated wrought iron floral screens.

An amazing open floorplan with 2,464 sq. ft. that’s contemporary yet functional. It’s loft-style living in a townhome configuration. There’s a private library (or perhaps a 4th bedroom) and a spacious and highly useable rec room on the 1st level. And when you reach the top of the stairs to the main level it’s an OMG moment that captures everyone’s attention with a dramatic open and we mean OPEN floorplan that allows buyers to have unobstructed views from the front dining room to rear rooftop terrace. A truly modern kitchen with an enormous island and spectacular cabinet wall captivates even those who aren’t a Top Chef.

My mother has always been an incredible interior Designer. But she's especially gotten to have a lot of fun at her beach house.

For the Metropolitan Market, I-5 Design and Manufacture created this 3D conceptual design which features the seating area. The area is divided from the cashier by a wooden half wall with a stainless steel trim and decorative elements in the market colors around the top. Working with the property management, we created a buffet design plan that built on the existing infrastructure to transform the dining atmosphere with a fresh, natural color palette and warm finishes, inspired by the geography of the surrounding region.

My sister Deanne Coles-Christensen is a gifted decorator. I helped her shoot these photos of her incredible home in Santa Fe that she’s sadly leaving after ten years. She's moving to Salt Lake City this week.

Deanne’s philosophy as an interior designer is to use her clients’ existing objects — those items with personal history and meaning — rather than purchase a bunch of new stuff. If you could use some of this beauty in your life, hire her. She’s now available for consultations and no job is too big or small.

Situated in the western Boston suburbs, this beautiful Colonial-era home needed an addition to make it more family-friendly. We worked in tandem with an architect to help design the addition “from the inside out” – one of our favorite things to do. Our clients wanted to make sure the feeling of their 1780’s home came through in the details of the addition, so we designed the new fireplace surround and entertainment area millwork in a traditional raised panel style, while incorporating needed storage. As the addition was completed, our clients then asked for more interior design services, which went on to include the selection of all furniture, fabrics, finishes and accessories.

Rich, subtle details give the symmetrical layout of the dining room a unique, artistic character.
