contacts page (with the numbers and email adresses removed.
in hind sight i should have jsut created a fake vcard for kristen... but i didnt.
i copied all of my contacts from adressbook on my powerbook pretty effortlessly through bluetooth. and what i like about this phone is when copying it didnt separate the phone numbers from the vcard... it actually used ONE entry per person... jsut like on my mac. just the way it should be (unlike the Razr)

Despite all of the UI toolkits available today, it's still not easy to design good application interfaces. This bestselling book is one of the few reliable sources to help you navigate through the maze of design options. By capturing UI best practices and reusable ideas as design patterns, Designing Interfaces provides solutions to common design problems that you can tailor to the situation at hand.
This updated edition includes patterns for mobile apps and social media, as well as web applications and desktop software. Each pattern contains full-color examples and practical design advice that you can use immediately. Experienced designers can use this guide as a sourcebook of ideas; novices will find a roadmap to the world of interface and interaction design.
Design engaging and usable interfaces with more confidence and less guesswork
Learn design concepts that are often misunderstood, such as affordances, visual hierarchy, navigational distance, and the use of color
Get recommendations for specific UI patterns, including alternatives and warnings on when not to use them
Mix and recombine UI ideas as you see fit
Polish the look and feel of your interfaces with graphic design principles and patterns
"Anyone who's serious about designing interfaces should have this book on their shelf for reference. It's the most comprehensive cross-platform examination of common interface patterns anywhere." --Dan Saffer, author of Designing Gestural Interfaces (O'Reilly)

These are some of my trials for a custom helmet. I wanted to do a high elven warrior sort of a fig using Sculpey(R) clay.
I started by using the most dispensable minifig I had. I wrapped the head with a thin layer of aluminum foil (from the grocery) and molded it around the head. Expect to have some breaks at the angles near the stud. Wrap the rest of the foil around the body.
The finished interface board. The microcontroller comes pre-loaded with software to run the USB connection and poll the sensors.

I do love how Ocado have designed the inline trolley message, which also includes a minus button. Some could argue that from a business perspective this is a bad idea. But from a user side – it’s quiet handy. Ocado does a nice job all round when it comes to controlling items in your trolley. I am waiting for some smarter ways of browsing to products though. But that’s another story.

Some results of my "physical constructive discussion". The audience is claying the human figure that would correspond ideally with a given (natural) user interface.

Trying to decide on weight of interfacing, sew in canvas or fusible. Went with a combination. Hair canvas from Fashion Sewing Supply for the undercollar. Fusible weft medium weight from Fashion Sewing Supply for the front facings.
I ended up using wigan for the sleeve and garment hems. Was going to cut the hair canvas on the bias to make facings, but decided since I had the wigan around, I'd use that.
