This assignment was to blend qualities of two random artists. One of my artists was some renissance painter who painted battles and the other was an abstract painter. I united the theme of conflict with abstraction techniques. The piece symbolizes to me the integration of black and white over time (the center line representing time.) To me its probably more meaningful because we have been studying Africa in English and some those lines actually mean specific things. One of them represtents Barack Obama.
I gave it to Miss Barbieri for Christmas though.

Teachers in grades PreK-8 learned how to embed reading and writing in science lessons with children's literature that reinforces science concepts.
Participants also reviewed science-related children's literature selections and learned about inquiry-based, hands-on activities that can be easily replicated in the classroom.
