Geeking out on how to build this damn car i can tell you guys, it is not easy to build something that looks kind of ugly and make it still look good.
Took me some time to figure out how to do tthe transformation, but you know me!
I am always on duty ;)
Go Go Gadget!
Inspector Gadget is an animated TV show from 1983, and here he is in LEGO! These are some of the characters from the series. Chief Quimby is Inspector Gadgets boss who often is seen with a pipe and delivers Gadget his mission in the form of a self-destructing message. Penny is Inspector Gadgets niece. Brain is Pennys dog. Dr. Claw is the leader of an evil organization known as M.A.D. He has a pet called M.A.D Cat.
These guys were all Area Inspectors with whom I worked at one time or another at the refinery. We covered the Crude Units, Vacuum Distillation Units and various other component stream treating units. Each one of these men were extremely qualified, competent, thorough, ethical and responsible. Omar, the man in the center, was the Inspector of those units at the time of the photo. Louis, the man on the left preceded Omar in that position. Joey, on the right preceded Louis in covering those units. I was the mechanical engineer for those units so by great fortune I was able to work with each of these men when they were responsible for the same operating units.
Each one of them occupied that same desk when he was that area’s inspector. One morning in June, 2016, they were all congregated together at that desk, which was Omar’s at the time. It was right next to where my desk was. Seeing the opportunity to get a photo of all three of them, I quickly grabbed my camera and took this shot.
During major unit turnarounds they kept track of all Inspection duties prescribed by company, industry and jurisdictional requirements, a daunting task. Having overall responsibility for the units, they had to personally sign off on the integrity of the process equipment before putting process units back on stream.
At the end of the tax year, the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue. While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said: "I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?"
"Good question", noted the Rabbi. "We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now
and then they send us a free box of candles."
"Oh", replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer. But on he
went, in his obnoxious way: "What about all these biscuit purchases? What do you do with the crumbs?"
"Ah, yes", replied the Rabbi, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question. "We collect them and send them back to the manufacturers, and every now and then they send a free box of holy biscuits."
"I see!" replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all Rabbi. "Well, Rabbi", he went on, "What do you do with all the leftover foreskins from the circumcisions you perform?"
"Here, too, we do not waste", answered the Rabbi. "What we do is save up all the foreskins and send them to the Tax Office, and about once a year they send us a complete
prick."
Started to use black and white wallpapers, so I converted and tuned this to suit that. A bit different crop also.

It's like a scene from the classic 1970s series of UK comedy films, 'On The Buses'. The bus inspector waiting to see in the next bus although this time in Doncaster on a rainy open day at the towns bus depot in early June 2022.
Do cats notice changes in their surroundings?
Dot the Cat certainly does.
This morning, I had to take down the mirror over the bathroom sink to tape over gaps that were letting dust into the room.
Dot, who sometimes hangs out on the sink surround when I shave or brush my teeth, immediately noticed the change.
She inspected this new sight as thoroughly as if she were going to be tested on it.
That ability might have interesting law-enforcement and intelligence applications were it not for felines' general unwillingness to take orders.
2021 Weekly Alphabet Challenge, Week 35, I for Inspector
There are plenty of inspectors to be found in our house and every so often we do like to play inspectors our selves :-)
Toy store hijinx.
This is x-processed slide film, not a photoshop effect.
I do not have the chops to do this in Photoshop!
I'll be posting more from this roll.
As soon as the snow got down to where Doc could remove the spruce bows from our rhubarb bed, he discovered that it was covered with little ruby red crowns. When we looked out just after dinner - a robin was there inspecting the vegetable. It looks like we'll have another bumper crop this year - and I haven't begun to use all that I vacuum sealed last year! Rhubarb is the plant that just keeps on giving, and in Alaska the season is long. Wish I could share it with my Flickr friends that can't grow it where they live.
Midsomer Murders wrapped up last night-this was the only glimpse of Inspector Barnaby that I got-taken from my driveway on a zoom and then cropped-not my best but I was happy to see him even briefly
Gus is an inspector for the newly poured concrete that I embedded with leaves for a design! The concrete had been dry for several days, but I will just allow the leaves to brown and come up naturally. Gus assures me they are great!! :)
Happy Caturday! - "most important jobs"
These aren't the greatest photos, I know, but "the People," (our cats) have been cooped up in the house for almost 2 weeks because we were having the old wooden walkways removed and concrete poured. The southern humidity is SO bad with wood, as are termites, etc., and concrete was a much cheaper and longer lasting solution. "The People" were finally able to get back out into the cat safe yard! It was as if it was a new thing! They have all been GREAT while they were in for this time, but we are all SO grateful they can have more space and freedom now!

Dot the Cat certainly does.
This morning, I had to take down the mirror over the bathroom sink to tape over gaps that were letting dust into the room.
Dot, who sometimes hangs out on the sink surround when I shave or brush my teeth, was immediately drawn to that grey door she'd never seen before.
She inspected this new sight as thoroughly as if she were going to be tested on it.

I made this quilt for the Project Modern: Organic challenge.
My inspiration was the human body, and I wrote more on my blog about it here: kmacquilts.blogspot.com/2011/07/inspector-body.html
The Tax inspector also called the bursar. Up here for a control of the book keeping.
