The Oakley Local heads north on the Plainville Branch followed by the track inspector. The Plainville Branch leaves the old KP line at Oakley and runs north to Colby in NW Kansas. The line used to run east from Colby and go all the way to Salina via Plainville Kansas, hence the name, but after a few washouts was cut back to Colby.

I received a surprise visit from the Department Of Goodies today.

Federal Investigative Dog Officer Zachary informed me that all Cookie Jars must be routinely inspected and sampled to insure the quality of all Cookies within.

Who knew?!

Hmmm...

There is something vaguely familiar about that officer.

A pair of wild Mallard ducks flying about the industrial food plant where I work. View On Black

Unfortunately we had a major fire at the plant this week. Fortunately no one was hurt. See: www.flamboroughreview.com/news/article/293073

A gift I got for my birthday this year is a dry cabinet to keep all of my photo gear I use frequently. My collection of other lenses are in several boxes with lots of descant packets in them.

Jane has been looking at her reflection the glass door of the cabinet. One morning before a photoshoot she finally got her chance to inspect the thing from the inside.

There goes my hopes of keeping cat hair out of there.

I built this MOC for the actual contest on www.RogueBricks.de "Bricking: Impossible" where we have to build something with agents.

First I thought to build something from 007 as a LEGO version like "From Billund With Love", "Live And Let Brick" or "You Only Brick Twice" :D

But then I remembered Inspector Gadget, one of my favorite heroes as a kid. So I built him - or let me say - his head, including some of his Go-Go-Gadget-O-Arms.

I know he is not perfect - it is my second figure I built like that - but I hope you like it as I do.

Natasha jumped out of the ornament bin and onto the back of the couch to inspect the tree, but she didn't touch it.

Still working on getting this house in my neighborhood sold... LOL!! Happy Truck Thursday, Everybody!!

Friday’s are awesome! And there’s nothing more exciting than seeing a old relic leading a train! Quite by surprise, I heard about CP running a T.E.C train south to Bensenville this afternoon and to top it all, the leader was a PacMan 40!!!

It is highly agreeable that this is the very first time in my photographing career that I’ve caught a CP PacMan SD40-2 leading a train and conditions were perfect for shooting here at Glenview IL as it tracks southwards down the New Line towards Bensenville IL today.

Macie loves Jelly Beans - all colors!

If a few are unintentionally left unattended she feels it's her duty to inspect them, lick them and then send them flying to all corners of the room.

A Least Bittern keeps a close eye on that canoe that’s approaching his clump of reeds on Horsepen Bayou. One of our summer contingents of birds that nest in the reeds on the banks of the bayou. Always s challenge to approach. I should have added that this is a juvenile.

This Vignette is part of a series for a crime scene contest at my LUG Rogue Bricks. It is based upon a popular german song from 1971 "Der Mörder ist immer der Gärtner" (The murderer is always the gardener) by songwriter Reinhard Mey. The song is a parody of stereotypes in thrillers of the Sixties and describes in its verses several murders in different locations across Europe. The chorus always depicts the gardener as the usual suspect, until he himself is murdered in the last verse...

Mr. Fly inspects this year's pea crop. So far so good, apparently.

This is another one of the pix from the March 2013 "Crime Scene" photoshoot with my best friends Cindy and Roberta. We had such a blast creating the set and making these great pix!

My ensemble for this set consists of my Danskin black nylon spandex leotard with copper & black French heeled seamed stockings and Romance garter belt from secretsinlace.com worn over Hanes Alive Barely There support hose from onehanesplace.com

along with my black patent 5½" heels from electriqueboutique.com, a cute little fedora and my trench coat.

"The orc inspector was one among many of the inspectors and taskmasters that kept their eyes on and held the armies of Mordor in check during the War of the Ring. This particular orc held an inspection soon after Frodo and Sam, in orc disguise, were found by a taskmaster and were whipped in between the company of orcs they were hoping to evade. The inspector managed to pick up something about them, and, alarmed, he made his way towards them. Frodo and Sam managed to get away after pretending to be fighting. The inspector decided to let it slip after losing sight of them, and the company of orcs moved along."

October 1992. (Oh, my! 30 years ago! How time flies.) I'm not sure who wrote the question at the bottom of the print. It’s not in my writing style. Someone within our department probably did as a joke when this was posted on our department bulletin board. The notation of the date is my writing though.

The photo is a manipulated Polaroid Spectra type instant print film. Soon after the print is ejected from the camera, a Polaroid print’s soft developing emulsion can be manipulated by applying pressure with a stylus, say the button end of a mechanical pencil. That’s how the effects on this print were created.

My friend Ralph A. was a Senior Inspector within the plant. There were some periods in which he and I covered the same units as the Inspector and Mechanical Engineer. He actually started in the plant as a pipefitter, but then in time he earned his qualifications to be an Inspector.

When he was union-represented as a pipefitter he was known to pull some practical jokes himself.

Hmm, I am quite pleased with this bust I made several months ago, except I feel it does not represent the man I wanted it to portray well; to me it looks more like an old admiral; but since I thought it looked cool, and since what I'm building at present won't be finished for about a week probably, here it is for you guys to all see. It's not my first bust, but there are some experiments in there; what do you think?
