At Candelária Church. The colors are so beautiful...
See it bigeer, in 3MP! The details are awesome...
The Candelária Church was constructed by a rich business man that was coming with his family to Brazil and faced a big storm on the way. Then he made a promise... If he and his family survived, he would raise a church in gratitude in the place where the ship docked. And so he did. With the centuries it was being increased and improved to its actual appearance. Despiste the simple exterior, it is very, very rich inside, and maybe because of this it scaped from the big demolition that had in this part of the city decades ago to construct large avenues and destroyed many architecture jewels...
At Avenida Presidente Vargas, Downtown, Rio de janeiro, Brazil.
Have a great day! :-D

I wrote love instead of like..= =
anyway, this is the list, I've been tagged a few times for this :))
The most important stuff that I actually really liked is the outside ones, the insides are fillers..still like them but more specific of what I wrote on the outside XD
If you've been tagged, there is no need to do this if you don't want to :))
I have uploaded 3 photos in the past week wow highest ever I believe haha. But more quantity = less quality :/ My stream is so boring now~
Please click here to view this large!
This picture was shot on a tripod with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tone mapping and detail enhanced. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. Some dodging and burning to bring out details. Used Nik Sharpener Pro to sharpen image.
This view was captured from the balcony inside The First Congregational Church of Portland in downtown Portland, Oregon. I was yanking on the door of the church and was disappointed that it was locked. I decided to take pictures of the exterior instead as I had many times before. Suddenly, the huge wooden door flung open and a lady came out to see who was yanking at the door. I confessed that it was me and that I was hoping to photograph the church interior. She let me in and told me to let myself out after I'm done. I spent a couple of hours taking pictures of all the beautiful architecture, wood works, and the gorgeous stained glass windows. I had the place all to myself! This I thank God for! Presented in full HDR!
And have a great weekend everyone!

Stopped off at the local dry cleaners on my way home from work, sadly the workers didn't want to be photographed....

Where: Inside Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
When: End of July 2011.
What: A young woman exploring a little bookstore at the back of the marketplace.
The Winter Olympic Games are almost over and the Dutch speedskaters were very succcessful. Just like me here, they have golden legs.
Sorry for another self-portrait upload. I uploaded three today because of yearbook camp is tomorrow until Friday.
Oh and here is my short hair, you can kind of see it.
And if you are REALLY bored, read this really long tag.
1. What was the last big change that you did to your hair? Are you often experimental when it comes to those kind of things? Or do you usually just stick to what you know suits you best?
Most often I just stick to the same thing. Up until a couple weeks ago I had the same haircut for years in a row. But then I went a little crazy and cut a lot of it off, as you can see above. I still can't decide if I like it or not, but it is easier. And I don't even remember what I used to look like.
2. Is there anything you are looking forward to doing this summer? If so, what are your plans? Well I just got back from choir tour which was exciting. And tomorrow I have to get up at five to get ready for yearbook camp. (which probably means I should get to bed). Then of course my sister is getting married the same day Harry Potter Part 2 comes out. Regardless of that, I am still seeing it at midnight. Then in August my other sister moves out to college.
3. What type of people do you usually NOT get along with?
I would lie to you and say I get along with all people and I am easy-going, but I will be honest. I don't get along with that many people. Some of the kids at my school were constantly calling me a hater, sigh. I can't help it that I am opinionated and sometimes have difficulty accepting others opinions, trust me it is a constant struggle to keep myself from slapping the people I disagree wit. I guess you could say I don't get along with shallow people, sexists, people who aren't accepting of other people religious views, people who always want a pity party, people who are overly happy, people who compliment you too much, people who say really mean things and don't even realize, and other people (like me) who have really strong opinions and always share theirs. I need calm people to balance me out.
4. Do you have an interest that is uncommon to most people? How many people, if any, do you share this same interest with?
Well as you all know I LOVE music, which itself is very common. But I like music most don't. The only people I know who share that are here on flickr. :D
5. Use this question to talk about something you like. Or anything that is on your mind at the moment. Or vent. Whatever.
I just realized another type of person I could add to my people I don't get along with list ^ up there. People who can't form their own opinions. I mean sure I don't like people who disagree with me, but I also hate people who agree with EVERYTHING I say. People who don't have their opinion on something until you share yours and then it become theirs. I know I say I hate people who are opinionated and disagree with me, but in the end all though I will usually start arguments with those people I really respect people who can fight for their own opinion even if it is different than mine. Hey, at least they believe what they say. (gosh I make no sense. And I just made myself sound like a jerk. Oh well, I guess I kind of am.)
6. Do you have any motto in life? Or any quote/sayings that you believe in or follow?
Not really. My sister and I always joke about the motto "Life sucks, and then you die." but we are just messing around.
7. What is your nationality? Are you proud of your nationality? Do you believe in national or ethnic pride?
I am a bit of everything I think I might be Irish or Scottish. My dads names is Patrick. And I am also part Czech. My moms maiden name is Havlicak. Pronounced Have-ill-check. Haha!
8. What's one stereotype about where you came from that actually applies to you?
I'm American and I spend way to much time inside on the computer or watching tv. :(
9. What do you think is the biggest misconception about the place that you're from?
Utah. I am Mormon/LDS. For some reason the media always jokes about us being polygamist. But we aren't. Back in the 1800's some of the Mormons were but so were people who weren't Mormon. It is against our church to take part in plural marriage and you can't me excommunicated for it. Seriously-- it isn't even a funny joke. And if the media is going to kid around about our religion then they should at least get their facts straight! They don't even know the first part of what we believe!
10. Why do you think people stay in abusive relationships? Have you ever been in one?
Random question. I think because at one point they were in love with the person before they were abusive and the always secretly hope that that person is still there, when sometime they aren't. No I have never been in a relationship, I haven't even been in a relationship.
11. What do you think is your biggest personality flaw? How does this affect your relationship with other people?
Wow personal now. I am really shy, but once I know a person I don't hold back my opinions. And that often makes people think I am mean. But I am also terribly gifted with knowing how to perfectly hurt a person and sometimes when I am angry I can't hold back and use that to say mean things I don't mean. I have may personality flaws, as do all. I hurt my friends feelings a lot, I hope I can get better at that though.
12. What's one movie you're looking forward to seeing right now? If you do not have one, what's the last movie you saw and how did you find it?
The Art of Getting By, One Day, and of course Harry Potter.
13. Do you think you're funny? How would you describe your humor?
Depends on who you ask, and of I would say yes I think I am funny to myself but not to other people. I often makes jokes no one else gets but me so I just amuse myself. Hahaha, I am very sarcastic too. Too sarcastic-- I don't even mean to be anymore.
14. Do you tend to hoard things?
Not that I am aware of. However I am kind of like that little girl in Signs. I leave half-empty cups all over the house and in my bedroom.
15. How good are you at handling money? Do you find it harder to save or spend? How often do you find yourself broke?
I am terrible with money. I spend every bit of money I get on film and candy with my friends. I am broke right now. Let's leave it at that.
Those were random questions and I already know no one read that.
I had free rain with this design. I was asked to make something Cat in the Hat themed And this is what I came up with. I wanted it to say "Cat in the Hat" without iconic figures from the book. I took items that Cat in the Hat stacks up at one point in the book. I love my board treatment which if you haven't guessed is supposed to be the Mom's good polka dot dress crumpled up in a mess.....tee hee

"Underneath this smile Lies everything
All my hopes, anger, pride and shame
Make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past
Just for today,... I am free
I will not lose my faith
It's an inside job today
I know this one thing well,...
I used to try and kill love, it was the highest sin
Breathing insecurity out and in
Searching hope, I'm shown the way to run straight
Pursuing the greater way for all,.. human light.
How I choose to feel,... is how I am.
How I choose to feel,... is how I am.
I will not lose my faith
It's an inside job today
Holding on, the light of the night
On my knees to rise and fix my broken soul
Again.
Let me run into the rain
To be a human light again
Let me run into the rain
To shine a human light today
Life comes from within your heart and desire
Life comes from within my heart and desire
Life comes from within you heart and desire"
Never in my life have I traveled such a distance in geography, time and history taking only one step and entering a building.
Blue Mosque q lays in the heart of Yerevan, not very far from the Republic Square. I've passed by it for many times, but for some reason thought it's not open for the public. This time we decided to enter, and I was surprised to find out the entrance was open to everyone. From the moment we entered the mosque, it was like passing an invisible border and finding myself in Iran. I was in Iran in 2003, and it looked pretty much like one of the many mosques I saw there. It was very quite in the mosque yard, and thinking that just outside the entrance door the hustle of the city streets went on, gave me a very strange feeling. You can't probably enter the praying room (I assume, it's not allowed for women to enter there in the first place), but you can certainly walk around in the yard. I've seen a lot of Iranians (mainly tourists) enter the mosque, especially during Fridays and Ramadan.
I'll definitely go back there in spring or summer. There is a beautiful garden inside and it did look promising, even in winter.
Wikipedia
{The "Blue Mosque", also known as the "Iranian Mosque" is a mosque in Yerevan, Armenia. During the soviet era, because of secularist policy, the Mosque stopped its services and became the Museum of Yerevan. However, with the independence of Yerevan and with the help of Iranian government, the Mosque once again started acting as a Mosque.
The Yerevan region had been under the control of various Muslim rulers since the incursions of Timur in the 14th century. From the second third of the 18th century, it had been a province of Iran (ruled successively by Nadir Shah, Karim Khan Zand and the Iranian Qajar Dynasty), before it fell to the Russian empire in 1827.
For the mosque's construction, various dates from the mid-18th century are cited in literature. As reported by 19th-century traveller H.F.B. Lynch, the Blue Mosque was commissioned to be built during the reign of Iranian ruler Nadir Shah (1736–47) by Husayn Ali Khan.According to different historians the mosque was founded around 1762 and the construction was completed in around 1768 under the rule of Husayn Ali Khan.
The building was the main congregational mosque for the city. The building consisted of the main prayer hall, a library, and a madrasa with 28 cells, all organised around a courtyard, with the overall complex occupying 7,000 square metres of land. There is a single minaret at the main portal, in keeping with contemporaneous mosques, and there is no evidence that there were more minarets.
Due to the secularist policies of the Soviet government, religious services at the Blue Mosque were stopped and in 1931 it was used to house the Museum of the City of Yerevan.[6] In the latter half of the 1990s the mosque underwent a heavy restoration, funded by Iran. Islamic religious services have now resumed within the Blue Mosque, which is the only operating mosque in Yerevan.}
Looks better, when you press L.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
The squad assembled in the briefing room, ready for their mission, all of them anxious to get outside of Belle Reve and be free, or as free as they could be. Waller directed them to stand around the table, as she opened the laptop, "Task Force X, your first mission is simple, but I would like to see how you act as a team, before I give you the missions you might call, suicidal. The mission is to eliminate these four targets, this night, all of their bodies disposed of and no evidence left behind. This job needs to be done quick and quietly, we don't want to get the police force or any vigilantes involved, understood?"
The team nodded silently, either because they were literally scared of Waller, or because they were too busy thinking of ways they could kill the targets on the screen, without being apart of the team.
"The first target is Blood Bow, no real name found and as you can guess, his arsenal consists of a bow and arrows. He has been sighted around the outskirts of Star City, trying to stay away from the other bow wielders of that city. The next target is Red Blade, a female assassin who goes by the name Pamela Hunderson, she claims to have had contact with the League of Assassins, but not record of it. She usually wields a katana, but has been sighted using other weapons such as daggers. She has been sighted lately making base in Gotham, but infiltrating there would be tricky, because of a certain bat infestation. The third target is X-Factor, not named after the TV show, but because his motto is 'X marks the spot'. Has no real name on record, but has been found working with many crime lords such as Brick and Thorne. His weaponry is manly assault rifles, snipers, hand guns and other automatic weapons. Last seen in Central City where he has already killed three of his targets there, don't let him get a fourth. The final target doesn't go by a code name or where a costume, his name is Rick Flag Jr. An ex military soldier, mercenary and ex Argus agent, someone who I knew personally. He is highly trained in many forms of hand to hand combat, skilled with various weapons and has an intellect higher than the average Argus agent. He hasn't been spotted recently, but we a sure to have a hit very soon. Any questions?"
"Just one," said Deadshot "I've heard all of these assassins apart from Flag, are you sure he's an assassin, because he definitely doesn't seem like the assassin type."
"He is your target, Deadshot" interrupted Waller "you do not question your target, you do not talk to your target, you just kill your target, that is the mission. Understood, or do you wish to leave the Squad for good." she then held up the detonator for the bomb inside of Floyd's head.
"Seems clear to me." said Floyd, keeping his cool as he knew it would end messy for the both of them.
"Good," she continued "Well Deadshot, since your so keen, you can be the field commander for this mission, so what is your plan of action?"
"You can't be bloody serious, your letting old one eye over here in charge?" Captain Boomerang burst out
"You do know I don't have actually one eye underneath this mask?" replied Deadshot.
"Yes I bloody well know that."
"So let me get this straight," Stinger butted in "your not the assassin with one eye?"
"That's probably Deathstroke your thinking of." said Black Spider
"Who's that one with one arm then?" replied Stinger getting himself even more confused.
"Kg Beast, you can't be serious that your getting those two mixed up." Killer Frost just trying to shut Stinger up.
"You do know with all this arguing we are wasting exactly 37.6 seconds, now 38." Clock King stated.
"Shut it 'Tick Tock'!" Captain Boomerang interrupted.
"How about we all shut the hell up before I have to find a myself a janitor to clean up all of your heads off the floor." Amanda Waller shouted, managing to get everyone as quiet as a school boy being told off. "Right, over to you Deadshot."
"So among all of that," Deadshot began to speak "I managed to come up with a plan. Where we only have one night, we have to do this quick, so I suggest we split up into pairs, each pair dealing with the first three targets. Killer Frost and Black Spider will take out Blood Bow."
They both nodded, Black Spider seeming slightly more pleased that Frost was. "Captain Boomerang and Stinger taking out Red Blade."
"So your sticking me with butterfly, bollocks." Boomerang said under his breathe, although Stinger could hear it perfectly.
"and me and Clock King will deal with X-Factor. Once we have all killed our targets, we regroup at the location of Flag and take him out using all of us, if he's as skilled as you say he is Waller, then we have the best chance if we hit him altogether. Is that understood?"
The team nodded.
"Well done Deadshot," said Waller "Now Task Force X, there is a helicopter waiting outside to drop you off, remember this mission has to be quick, clean and simple, I don't want anybody knowing that super villains are roaming the streets working for the government, now go!"
The team all ran out, but as they did Stinger turned and said to Waller "One more thing, could you cool us the Suicide Squad please, that name is a lot more awesome."
Waller turned to Stinger with the most blankest stare ever and said in a mono toned voice "No."
Next issue the team face off against the assassin Red Blade, but will they be able to work as a team to accomplish the mission?
Also just a quick note, Captain Boomerang doesn't have he new outfit in this as this was taken before I changed him, but his new suit will appear in the next issue ;)
Hope you like it :D
This picture was shot a few days ago in the temple complex of Khajuraho (खजुराहो) which is a village in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, located in Chhatarpur District, in the center of India.
The Khajuraho group of monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture.
Whether an exterior or interior, not an inch of temple space is barren, without a couple populating it and celebrating love and life in all their shades and colors - mundane and transcendental, and hardly ever allowing any of them - love or life, to deprive a lip of its smiles or a face of its glow.
They toil but it is all love's labor and it is never lost.
Pangs of separation are as much a theme of love as is union, but Khajuraho temples do not know separation, nor they know old age, decay or death.
They believe in life and in all its pleasurable blessings, and vehemently reject sorrow, thinking it, perhaps, only an attitude of mind.
Hence, old age, decay or death is not the theme of Khajuraho sculptors.
It is a world of fascinating youthful maidens and passionate robust males, a world of languished kisses, of lips unwilling to separate, and of arms interlocking into unlocking knots, a world where they meet and love and discover meaning of life.

A pair of superbikes i built , with more of a racing feel to them. Still very much inspired by the XG videogames, i wanted to mix a little bit of contemporary bikes to them.
Lounge area inside an abandoned house left untouched for at least 30 years. The only thing sadder than this house is the drama I've seen by keeping it's whereabouts a secret.
To say things have been uneasy these last two weeks would be an understatement. Though he’s tried his best to hide it, deep down I can tell Bruce is more worried about what’s coming. It makes me feel as though I should be worried than I am, but life seems to be all good for me at this moment. Dad’s thinking of trying to buy a house here in Gotham and Steph’s been helping me on my patrols during the night. There have been numerous times we’ve been tempted to break up gatherings of the Crimson Cult but Bruce has insisted that we’re only to monitor them.
But there’s one way you can tell the pressure is absolutely getting to Bruce, as tonight he did something I never thought I’d see. He gave me the night off. Three years working with him, and I’ve never felt more concerned for him than when he told to take Steph to the fair. Most people would think I’m crazy and should be grateful he thinks I’m doing a good enough job to deserve time off, but most people don’t know Bruce Wayne.
He knows exactly what’s coming, and given how much it’s making him act out of character I’m not sure what to make of it. Alfred says it’s down to Damian that Bruce is so shaken up, and I can understand why. To find out you’ve spent over a month battling your own son whilst trying to protect Gotham would mess with, never mind someone who’s longed for a family since he was eight years old.
”You alright?”
”Yeah I’m just…”
”Worried about him again?”
”Is it that obvious?”
”Not really, I just know that look on your face.”
”Sorry. This is meant to be our moment of peace before it all goes to hell. The last thing you want is me moping about.”
”You’re concerned about what’s coming, I’d be concerned if you weren’t. An army of people with Bruce’s training isn’t exactly my idea of a fun time.”
”I’m just worried why I’m not afraid myself. If this is enough to unnerve Bruce, why don’t I feel that concern as well?”
”Maybe it’s because you know the truth. That deep down there’s nothing you guys can’t overcome together.”
I say nothing but pull a face at Steph, a subtler method of showing my distaste for her using such a cliché line to try and perk me up.
”Next thing you’ll know you’ll be saying with the power of friendship nothing is impossible.”
”Sorry for trying to cheer you up.”
With that Steph walks off the main street and into a nearby alley. Nice one Drake, you really put your foot in it there. As I race after her into the same alley I’m stopped by someone trying to sell me candy floss. It’s the second year where the Gotham county fair has been moved to inside the city following Joker’s flying fish incident two years ago. Boy I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget that stench. But it was following that incident that Mayor Lincoln March decided to relocate the fair to the centre of Gotham city, that way ensuring the GCPD can increase security at the fair and also be in close proximity to Gotham should they be needed.
It was actually a rather inspired idea if I do say so myself, especially when you consider that the nearest half decent patch of land for hosting a fair is ten miles away from the actual city. Last thing this city needs is less cops on the streets, even with Bruce and I patrolling the rooftops. Jim absolutely loves the idea of the fair being based in the centre of Gotham as well as it means he has a good excuse to attend the fair.
You’d never have guessed that a fifty-two-year-old police commissioner would love attending a county fair where there’s so much that could easily go wrong, but I’ll be damned Jim Gordon loves it here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the one who suggested the idea of moving the county fair to Lincoln at the time.
As I enter the alley that Steph had walked into, I can’t help but notice the troubled look on her face.
”Something up?”
”I swear I heard someone calling for help.”
”From inside one of these buildings?”
”Yeah, sounded like a male’s voice.”
”If someone’s committing a crime in such close proximity to the county fair it can’t be good thing.”
I remove my bag and pull out a set of gauntlets, my bo-staff and a spare mask. Ever since Damian told us that Ra’s was on his way Alfred’s insisted you always carry at least some way of protecting myself, at first I thought he was crazy but it looks like the old Brit was right…as usual. It’ll be handy now to cover my face and allow me to not hold back if there is something going on.
”You always carry your bo-staff with you?”
”Can never too safe these days.”
”Still that’s a little bit weird don’t you think?”
Did she really just say that? We both put on costumes and go out at night to fight crime. To say that this one particular thing is weird is the oddest thing she could possibly say.
”Sorry, stupid question.”
”There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.”
”It’s worrying how like him you sound at times.”
”Thanks. Catch.”
I pass her a set of gauntlets and a pair of escrima sticks that I ‘borrowed’ from Bruce’s display of Dick’s spare Nightwing suit.
”Hoping for trouble?”
”Well you can never be safe these days, besides, we could use some excitement.”
She says nothing, but her smile says it all as she starts to put the gauntlets on.
”Alright, I’ll go in first. You stay back in case I need back up.”
”No mask for me?”
”Blame Barbra for that one. If she’d chosen to use a domino mask instead of a cowl I’d have brought you one.”
”I think you just want to have all the fun to yourself.”
”You can borrow mine if you really want.”
”No by all means, last thing I’d want is to spoil the one thing that’s made you smile all night.”
The sarcasm is blatant but I take her up on the offer and keep my domino mask on. With that I enter the nearby building with my bo-staff at the ready. The lights are off and without my suit to power it, the infrared on my mask is useless.
”Hello? Is there anyone in here?”
”Tim….Drake…..?”
Odd. Not everyday someone calls for help and then mentions you by name. That can’t be good.
”Who’s asking?”
Without a response the lights come on revealing that Steph’s been right behind since I entered the building. Damn it Steph this isn’t what I meant by watching my back. This must be what Bruce went through when he was training me, as boy did it wind him up badly when I interpreted ‘watch my back’ literally.
I look forward to see a figure clad in back wielding a katana, similar to the one used by Damian.
”Tim Drake. The great Ra’s Al-Ghul has scentenced you to death!”
He’s with the League.
I need to warn Bruce.
They’re here.
Before I have a chance to grab my phone out of my pocket the figure charges forward blade raised ready to strike.
”Tim watch out!”

Hallgrímskirkja, Iceland's largest church building, in the middle of the city of Reykjavik, is notable for its architecture which on the inside sports sleek and simplified cathedral design more befitting the austerity of the Lutheran religion it is built for than traditional cathedrals. To me, the curves, ceiling recesses and wall columns almost look organic, like you are watching the skeletal anatomy of some kind of giant creature from within. I think this becomes even more apparent when you view the ceiling from a tilted angle like in this image. The illumination of the interior from the very well placed windows is always pleasing in this church, which is a reflection of good design.
The building was designed by Icelandic state architect Guðjón Samúelsson and was completed in 1986 after being under construction for four decades.
I was a very naughty girl indeed and took just this one forbidden photo inside the Royal Pavilion-there was no copyrighted furniture or artworks in here and no attendant so I was quick and sneaky-I hope I don't get arrested now ! The whole place is just FABULOUS-the dining room was my favourite with its chandeliers and gilt and sumptuousness-this was my next favourite room
The Gleizer Sheel (The glaziers synagogue or Sinagoga Sticlarilor) was founded in 1898. The architect of the building was T. Ghingher.
During WW II the synagogue was partly destroyed and rebuilt from 1946-1948. It is located on Habad Liubavici street 8.
The old name of the street was Yakimovsky street.
It was the only working synagogue in Chisinau in USSR times.

The Vatican Museums (Italian: Musei Vaticani), in Viale Vaticano in Rome, inside the Vatican City, are among the greatest museums in the world, since they display works from the immense collection built up by the Roman Catholic Church throughout the centuries.
Pope Julius II founded the museums in the 16th century. The Sistine Chapel and the Stanze della Segnatura decorated by Raphael are on the visitor route through the Vatican Museums. They were visited by 4,310,083 people in the year 2007.
The Vatican Museums trace their origin to one marble sculpture, purchased 500 years ago. The sculpture of Laocoön, the priest who, according to Greek mythology, tried to convince the people of ancient Troy not to accept the Greeks' "gift" of a hollow horse, was discovered 14 January 1506, in a vineyard near the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome. Pope Julius II sent Giuliano da Sangallo and Michelangelo Buonarroti, who were working at the Vatican, to examine the discovery. On their recommendation, the pope immediately purchased the sculpture from the vineyard owner. The pope put the sculpture of Laocoön and his sons in the grips of a sea serpent on public display at the Vatican exactly one month after its discovery.
The Museums celebrated their 500th anniversary in October 2006 by permanently opening the excavations of a Vatican Hill necropolis to the public.
Donato Bramante (1444 – March 11, 1514) was an Italian architect, who introduced the Early Renaissance style to Milan and the High Renaissance style to Rome, where his most famous design was St. Peter's Basilica.

1/11/08 - Relationships and friendships can cause more trouble than they do joy. Sometimes it's just best to try and get over things and the people who caused them, but it's never that easy. Scars don't fade right away and the bruises hurt for days but eventually they'll all go away. :)

And I hope it won't get old, I highly recommend you bring an end to what your feeling inside."

These two supernova remnants are part of a new study from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory that shows how the shape of the remnant is connected to the way the progenitor star exploded. In this study, a team of researchers examined the shapes of 17 supernova remnants in both the Milky Way galaxy and a neighbor galaxy, the Large Magellanic Cloud.
The results revealed that one category of supernova explosion, known as "Type Ia," generated a very symmetric, circular remnant. This type of supernova is thought to be caused by a thermonuclear explosion of a white dwarf, and is often used by astronomers as a "standard candle" for measuring cosmic distances. The image in the right panel, the so- called Kepler supernova remnant, represents this type of supernova.
On the other hand, remnants tied to the "core collapse" family of supernova explosions were distinctly more asymmetric, which is seen in the morphology of the G292.0+1.8 remnant (left). The research team measured asymmetry in two ways: how spherical or elliptical the supernova remnant was and how much one side of the remnant mirrors its opposite side. In G292, the asymmetry is subtle but can be seen in elongated features defined by the brightest emission (colored white).
Out of the 17 supernova remnants sampled, ten were independently classified as the core-collapse variety, while the remaining seven of them were classified as Type Ia. One of these, a remnant known as SNR 0548-70.4, was a bit of an "oddball". This one was considered a Type Ia based on its chemical abundances, but has the asymmetry of a core- collapse remnant.
