A lonely and warm place, an amazing blues on the radio and a coffee with a cigarette to look inside myself. Sometimes life is nice.
This week I'm making a triple X hot sauce. I'm about to add some Ghost peppers to this mix to help stoke the heat

Today is the last day of March, MS Awareness month.
So I wanna share about a project I decided to do.
I'll (try) express photographically my MS symptoms.
I'll try to express how uncomfortable, annoying and suffocating is to deal with this disease that looking through the eyes on the outside you can't see anything but on the inside feels like an
uncontrollable roller coaster.
It'll probably take a year to finish this project because I'll need time, imagination and the help of the elements to accomplish the way I already see it in my mind.
I intend to share the photos once everything is done.
It'll be quite a challenge to me but I feel like I need this as a form of expression, redemption and freedom.
Maybe in a year or less from now I hope I'll come here to share and maybe somehow make you feel the way I feel for a moment.

However you spell it, the doughnuts at Honey's in Deep Cove are amazing. As big as your fist, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside; people line up for them at all times of day.
Just had to post something tasty and happy to counteract the gloom of the day. Beheadings, hostages, spies, Auschwitz, Corinthia Hotel -- and that's just the beginning of the list. :(

The little things, you do to me are
taking me over, i wanna show ya
everything inside of me
like a nervous heart that, is crazy beating
my feet are stuck here, against the pavement
i wanna break free, i wanna make it
closer to your eyes, get your attention
before you pass me by
So back up back up take another chance
Don’t you mess up mess up I don’t wanna lose you
Wake up wake up this aint just a thing that you
Give up give up don’t you say that I’d be
Better off better off, sleepin by myself and wonderin
If im better off better off, with out you

Tablescape vignette ~inspiration found in the vintage hankercheif used as a tablecloth. The re-ment dishes play up the color story. Casual garden brunch.
Theme for the week is Myths and Legends. I had several ideas but in the end selected this one.
I haven't planned and prepared for a shot so much in ages but had a lot of fun taking it with the help of Vicky.
Those of you who follow my shots know that I don't often post a shot in two groups, but there was more than a little Photoshop sliding in this one so it has to go in to Sliders Sunday too!
HSS!
UPDATE: Thanks all for the comments and faves.
A couple of people have asked how it was done, well I loosely followed this tutorial, with a couple of changes.
Firstly I looked down rather than up so didn't need to shoot the inside of the hat. Secondly, when shooting the inside of the cuffs and collar, I put the shirt and tie back into the suit jacket to make it easier to PS into place. Then I held the clothes up in roughly the right place so that the light was right. For the cuffs I stuffed a packet of cookies down each sleeve to hold them a bit stiffer, and a double cuff shirt helps too I'm sure.

This would have to be one of the most amazing ceilings i've seen on any of my travels.

Four finished pincushions - decorated and stuffed using "useless" felt scraps from my other projects. They are so pleasingly chunky!
Was putting some pizzas in the oven this evening when this little cat caught my eye. Its the top of a catfood jar that I bought my lovely fiance to use as a sweetie jar.

You know when you have the urge to create but your brain stubbornly shuts down and won't cooperate? Then you see something and an idea starts to form! I was inspired by @Photomaginerium 's post today to create art with a pear I brought to work. I took several shots on a white piece of paper and then added these paint textures with an iPhone app called InstaEffect, then I used PicMonkey to make the collage. I feel better, and now I have something to post for:

One city, one church visit is mandatory. The inside of St Stephens is over the top opulance.
The church is named after Saint Stephen I of Hungary, the first King of Hungary (c. 975–1038), whose "incorruptible" right hand is said to be housed in the reliquary.
This is the most important church building in Hungary, one of the most significant tourist attractions and the third highest building in Hungary.
Equal in height with the Hungarian Parliament Building, it is one of the two tallest buildings in Budapest at 96 metres (315 ft) - this equation symbolises that worldly and spiritual thinking have the same importance. According to current regulations there cannot be taller buildings in Budapest than 96 metres (315 ft).
It was completed in 1905 after 54 years of construction, according to the plans of Miklós Ybl, and was built by József Kauser. Much of the delay can be attributed to the collapse of the dome in 1868 which required complete demolition of the completed works and rebuilding from the ground up.
The architectural style is Neo-Classical; it has a Greek cross ground plan. The façade is anchored by two large bell towers. In the southern tower is Hungary's biggest bell, weighing over 9 tonnes (8.9 long tons; 9.9 short tons). Its predecessor had a weight of almost 8 tonnes (7.9 long tons; 8.8 short tons), but it was used for military purposes during World War II. Visitors may access the dome by elevators or by climbing 364 stairs for a 360° view overlooking Budapest.
