Though he had his doctorate in electrical engineering and was very left brained, he had a fascination with photography. My mother gave me his camera, a Minolta Auto Cord TLR. This year, I recreated a self portrait he shot of himself with myself. Though he died of cancer when I was 13, I think he'd be proud of how far I have come in photography.

Notre-Dame Basilica (French: Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal) is a basilica in the historic district of Old Montreal, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The church is located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, at the corner of Saint Sulpice Street. It is located next to the Saint-Sulpice Seminary and faces the Place d'Armes square.
The church's Gothic Revival architecture is among the most dramatic in the world; its interior is grand and colourful, its ceiling is coloured deep blue and decorated with golden stars, and the rest of the sanctuary is a polychrome of blues, azures, reds, purples, silver, and gold. It is filled with hundreds of intricate wooden carvings and several religious statues. Unusual for a church, the stained glass windows along the walls of the sanctuary do not depict biblical scenes, but rather scenes from the religious history of Montreal. It also has a Casavant Frères pipe organ, dated 1891, which comprises four keyboards, 92 stops using electropneumatic action and an adjustable combination system, 7000 individual pipes and a pedal board.

Biscoitinho de Baunilha
1 e 1/2 xícara de farinha de trigo
1/2 xícara de açúcar
1 pitada de sal
1 ovo pequeno (se for médio ou grande jogue um pouco da clara fora)
1 colher de sopa de manteiga ou margarina
1 colher de sobremesa de essência de baunilha
1 colhwer de sobremesa rasa de fermento em pó
Como fazer
Misture todos os ingredientes, até a massa ficar uniforme, abra a massa com um rolo, numa superfície enfarinhada e corte com cortadores no formato que desejar, se não tiver cortadores, faça bolinhas e amasse com o garfo. coloque em forma untada e leve ao forno até dourar. Deixe esfriar e coloque em uma vasilha com tampa para conservar a crocancia, sirva com um chá de sua preferência ou com um cafezinho.

No Church in the Wild
The view inside the church of an abandoned monastery in Italy, with origins going back as far as the 1300s. I was gutted seeing a recent pic of spray painters heavily tagging up this ancient spot. 700 years of history, bombed beyond recognition in 10 minutes.

~ melt away
So this is the first time I try this restaurant, it's called Fondue "melt away", located in Salhiya. The shop is tiny but so cute, I couldn't stop taking photos of it. Here goes the rest of them, in the comments.

I've had a commissioned job: explore some different ways to serve a new philadelphia product with a soft filling inside. This shot was done as an example to show how the product (philadelphia duo) works with honey and pistachios.
The client loved this shot very much : ), but as you know I'm a food stylist, not a photographer, so he was pretty surprised to have this shot from me.

Happy New Year!
A new year a new start, a time of promises and a time of fresh hopes for the year ahead.
As a family we have many hopes for the year ahead - hoping to move to a bigger house, hoping for a happy healthy addition to join us is March, hoping to make many happy memories.
A time for resolutions, being 7 months pregnant the usual resolutions to get fit and lose weight go out the window however my main resolution is to see these three faces smile every day! (And I guess once baby masters smiling to see 4 smiling faces for the latter part of the year!)
Along with these smiles I resolve to make sure I spend some time everyday focusing on me and what I enjoy, I am going to make sure I get my me time with my other love - my camera!
So here is to 2016, to a picture a day and the challenges and memories recorded that will bring!
This was about my fourth idea for my photo today. I abandoned some of the other ideas because the execution was just too complicated (for now). I settled on this one which I ended up liking once I muted down the background eyes a bit. I also was really pleased with the match of shirt to eye color. Makes the shot for me.

In a vaporetto to Venezia, a woman wearing a panama hat plays with my camera lens. She makes me realize that I'm not allowed to reveal who she is. Offering a shoulder and a finger to prevent any dialogue, a smile erased, but a glance unknown. I did not steal her soul .. anyway, I find nothing more sensual than the unknown combined with the feminine.

在主角理頭觀賞煙火是一次奇特的經驗，但也是很阿Q的想法(ㄚ，其實就是蠢啦~)，施放的時候，煙火根本就是照明彈，明亮的比熱戀的情侶還要閃亮(汗)，曝光這檔子事情就只能笑笑就過了~XD
再來每發煙火的後作威力也十足，感覺就像在砲管裡面看打仗一樣~地板窗戶都跟著震動了起來，所以防震這檔子事情也可以笑笑就過了~XD
但，從廣場迎面而來，齊聲一起迎接新一年度的震撼與悸動，看到那整條馬路上佈滿了手機搖動的光點，聽到隨著煙花的變化一陣又一陣的驚嘆，還是難以言喻的感動ㄚ~

A few classics from my collection... In 1994, one of the ways you spent your time when you weren't painting or mixing your own custom colors for your next piece was searching small hardware stores for old cans of paint that has been sitting in their basement for years. It was like searching for treasure. For some reason, Jungle green seemed to be the Holy grail. And we found it all without google, I-phones, GPS, or the internet. Those were the days.
( jungle green... 100$ shipped... get at me for a piece of graffiti history)
