in the beginning it was ugly. last summer we helped our neighbor to create an alley garden behind their house. last fall we started ours with cast-offs, extra dirt, mulch, compost and bric-a-brac. one step at a time...

A house, in the middle of nowhere, what could possibly go wrong?

Pattern: Cedar Dancing Sock, from Cat Bordhi's New Pathways for Sock Knitters

 

Needles: US 1.5 (2.5mm) DPNs for body of sock; US 1 (2.25mm) circular for freaky-deaky cast-on.

 

Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Mediumweight, color Count Cluckula (somebody has entirely too much fun naming these).

HCK2 is growing in numbers and square footage.

Collatz conjecture diagram. A work in progress. Vertical trunks are "n/2" collapses. Horizontal lines are "3n+1" expansions. Just trying to build it from the ground up to see how things work... A somewhat larger version (still working on expanding it).
