I can't decide if I should go with a cream solid with the border or if I should go with the brown that I chose (it's on the stool there). Sorry the lighting is really bad.

Finished photo. I like the purple and had a hard time picking thru the other options for colors. still could do some touch up but overall it's pretty much done

used a hairlight, and one softbox to the right of me. and an umbrella on the left of me.. (reverse for model)

i am currently cutting this. two layers of print, five layers of fabric contours. already cut all the contour layers. working on the eleventy million red flower shapes now - eleventy million blue dots coming up next. i think it will eventually drive me insane.

Documentation of the pocket pivot model pictured here.

I wanted to build a land vehicle, and I started with the cabin. Orange seemed like a good color to fit a land crawling mech that would be at home undersea, in the arctic, or on a mountain top.

As I built it, I thought it started to look like a helmet so I went with it.

I then thought it started to look like a cross between a red fox and a tiger, so I went with it, adding a nose and some teeth.

I then added the jaw with a tongue where the vehicle"eats" rocks, a real "rock hound". I'll have to probably design a system where it breaks, melts, and digests the raw material into a reactor.

At this point, the story would be:

"Built from the skeleton of a Leviathan, the 'Rockhound' is an industrial scientific exploration and mining platform used on remote habitable environments."

basic claw finger shape...I was deciding if they would actually pivot or not. They get to be solid walled, though, since they are most likely to get bumped around

I found this work in progress for sale in the classifieds a few months ago, when it's done I'm going to get it painted to match the Buick.

It was made from a 2 door sedan.

Costs so far (aprox):

$100 for the trailer

$300 for the tires

$120 for the trunk lid

$ 40 for the trunk hinges

$ 30 for the taillight lenses

$130 for the beltline trim.

The sleeve of the Philosopher's wool sweater I started over the weekend. This is a pretty quick knit, especially using their two-handed technique. I used to hate knitting fair isle, because I hated dropping and picking up the yarn colors, but there's no dropping with their way! That's Tiki's butt next to the sleeve. It's nearly impossible to take a picture around here without various cat parts in it.

Another top that needs quilting. I fell in love with the fabric that reminded me of gem stones and put many colors together in this quilt.

I made this top when I couldn't talk for 2 months. Don't you just love acid reflux?

More sample output from this system. In this example you can see the guide splines running more-or-less horizontally between the three layers of cells. The short red lines inside each of the cells is the calculated normal.

New lighter-weight due to "foam-frame" + more accurate form. This is the last time I remake this claw thingie. Seriously.

Stitches are filet-style Tunisian crochet lace.

Crocheted on the bias, Aery-Faery can be finished with rows that square off the scarf ends into an edged rectangular shape, instead of seaming it invisibly into a continuous loop.

I wondered if I could make a whole bunch of ham ornaments at once in assembly line fashion..

between studio and kitchen table tonight...drawing, painting, embroidering, listening to Cibo Matto...

This video is very much IN PROGRESS, it's a very rough sketch of the animation I'm working on. My concept is to create a video that pays tribute to an annual family vacation using both animation and actual footage of my family's time there.

This preview was edited in iMovie (I know, I'm sorry) for the sake of time and storage on my computer. I promise I'm actively using photoshop to edit, and the final video will be in photoshop as well. Also, because I'm using old videos, they are low quality and bring down the quality of all the other files. Once I figure out how to improve this, I will most likely use that as my skill to teach the class.

I'm planning on the video to be around 3 minutes? I already have a lot of the footage that makes up this time. I just felt the animation was more worthy of an update.
