Printing machine being dry ice blasted

I started this temari with the intent on making pattern 99PG04 on Temarikai. About a third of the way complete on the interwoven pentagons, I realized that I wouldn't be able to complete this as intended. The small triangles aren't supposed to be there, the three black threads are supposed to meeting there. And, I had stitched up too close the the poles. So, I could stop and rip it out and start over or I could continue and just do a more basic interlocked pentagon pattern. I decided to continue since I was enjoying how the colors were working out.

I decided to detach the skirt from the bodice so I could add a whole bunch of extra fullness...

Finally, after a four-month hiatus, the second Winding Cable knee sock has been started.

making all the little gold circles out of over-sized curtain eyelets

Started the painting in my art teacher's studio for her local show.

Work in progress for the construction of a new footbridge to link the existing Esplanade Bridge at mid span from Merlion Park to the Esplanade.

The slow beginning of the Winding Cable knee sock (free pattern on the Interweave Knits site), knit in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Manzanita. It's the same yarn and color called for in the pattern (how unoriginal and boring of me, I know) and I stuck with it because I love the color.

Still unpacking boxes... almost there.

I picked the size 35D, but think I should have gone down to the 35B, maybe? Way too much vertical and horizontal room over the bust.

This is just basted together so I will rip out and tweak.

Also, I'm making this muslin version into a top, but it's looking too long... will chop it a few inches shorter.

Grading a new dress download.

Mixed media embroidery inclusions of gel transfer images on buttons, fragments of homemade textured clay, tin can beads, metallic and cotton threads, fiber covered buttons on felt laminated red velvet. The piece as shown here is not completely finished. More stitching was added to the background between the pieces. I will post another copy soon.

The piece was created as a tribute to Haïti victims. The fragments of discarded pieces speak of rebuilding from scraps and foreign aid. The stitching (spirals) are both the destruction and reconstruction energies present. The seed stitches mean planting and new growth. Threads are representative of relationships holding things together.

this was a new experiment - i etched the photo into a loose sheet of very thin paper and then glued it down over a collaged area.

This one is done actually, available at freebpthemes.com

Original design by themejunkie.com

one side + middle of the armor mostly painted + glossed

I had already done a 2" FBA (on each side) but decided I needed another 1"--that's a total 6".

Hope to get around to finishing this soon... Outline is all done though and I think it looks pretty damn spot on :)

This one just needs to be bound. It is all quilted. It is made out of flannels. From “Cut-Loose Quilts by Jan Mullen

Here are the individual printed pages ready to be spliced together to make one full-sized pattern.

Design Kompany’s big into the process of uncovering layers of a story to get to the heart of a great brand essence.

in process hand-painting for Gray continues...the acrylic was mixed with a fabric medium additive and just splotched on to get the watercolor effect as seen in the game.

What...back to work on this, huh? Foot patterning is being overseen here....

This is the top collar, which required a lot of criss-crossed ribbon confusion just like the sleeves. Since the back will be covered by my hair, fur + the cape, I wasn't too concerned to have a bit of distortion on the intersections back there, and I just tried to concentrate on matching the front area to his desgin.

These are KnitPicks sock blanks that I grad-dip-dyed blue ombre to light blue... pattern is Waving Lace from Favorite Socks. (more knitting and sewing at www.polkadotoverload.com )
