Hey Apathy! is an ongoing investigation into the city,monsters,& existence in general. This 10 x 12 foot pen & ink drawing was part of the first body of work by Canadian Artist Mike Parsons. In this image the city is hopelessly constructed of large tomb-like buildings and filled by a nverending sea of faceless people. The illusion of conformity exposed....

It is very unfortunate news to deliver, that he was killed this past weekend.

This is an illustration I created of a Suicide Girl using a biro pen on watercolour paper. using the same idea as the previous piece I wanted to create the idea of a forced movement.
The SOUND OF THE CITY! Canadian Art & Ink Drawings. This 30' x 40" extensively detailed studio artwork took approximately 200 hours to complete. The illustration was made with various fine point technical and quill pens. The image represents an imaginary topographic map of the "City of Gears", with a detailed hallucinatory message hidden beneath the endless multitude of metropolitan vignettes. At least once a year I change my technical process in an attempt to extend my visual vocabulary, reinvent my artworks, and ultimately learn something new about myself and the world.
