This arm tells the story of what just might be the roughest week of my life, the details of which I don't really feel the need to share. What I will say is that I think I've figured out what I want my first tattoo to be.
These mushrooms are really cool.
This one is quite fresh, but as it ages and it's spores come out of it, the cap of the mushroom deteriorates into a dark black inky fluid. They are edible, but you have to get them when they are really new, this one is probably already too old, the base of the cap is beginning to turn black.
Se refiere al objetivo de mi cámara, que es por el cual miro todo alrededor. El no filter es un guiño a instagram ya que considero que me ha ayudado mucho profesionalmente.
this is my first attempt at an ink (no watercolours) drawing of the inside of my house after looking at Paul Heaston's amazing work. It feels overworked to me and doesn't quite capture the depth of field that I was going for.... will have to try again!
Exhibition: 1/28-2/25, 8pm: "ink"

A comparison of teal links in my collection ~ on Stillman&Birn Zeta paper with a vintage Elettra #2 dip nib, photographed outside on an overcast day.
Note: the DeAtramentis Plum will continue to change until it settles to a teal in a few days.
Cuddles the cat gets a quick ink test for working out my inking technique for the graphic novel project I'm working on for Debbie. She talks a bit more about the project here:

Sorry about not embedding the link; I can never remember how to do that.
My art area has been cleared out from all the big crap that got flung in there while I was in the hospital and whatnot (that's what happens around here when you abandon your workspace) and so I have a wheelchair friendly space set up. My ancient wonderful drawing board has been adjusted down to a lower height to compensate for the wheelchair and I figure I'm about ready to tackle some serious inking.
I find myself reluctant to post my really rough page sketches, but we'll see if I can get up the courage a bit later to post some just so I have some record of the process for this project.
one of our relatives is growing her own veggies to feed her pregnant daughter. these were fresh from the graden, and basking in the sunlight just waiting to be sketched :)
