Yes there has been a lot of Diamine Autumn Oak from me this fall. Ironically it also happened to be in the November Inkdrop from Goulet Pens so here is another tree...still a great colour :D
And then you came Jennifer Jennings!

Jij kwam, Jennifer Jennings
Want jij, Jennifer Jennings
Je bent precies wat ik droomde voor mij
Ja dan kwam jij, Jennifer Jennings
En blauwe ogen die laggen naar mij
Maar jij, Jennifer Jennings
Je danste telkens en telkens voorbij
Voorbij, altijd voorbij
Steedsweer voorbij
Hopeloos voorbij
Stand and watch, after sometime their will take you for a walk.

Hearts Have Turned To Stone
Music & lyrics by Leon Russell & Elton John 2010
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm out here in the darkness
I hear the howling wind
Sometimes I sit and wonder
Will I ever see love again
Looking for an answer
Not an easy thing to find
Out here in the wilderness
With questions on my mind
Now the sun is rising higher in the sky
The morning light is crawling
From the darkness of the night
The raindrops keep on falling
There is no light of day
The sadness deep inside me
Doesn't seem to go away
And there's no way out, no road home
I'm lost in doubt and I'm all alone
The time has come
When love is done
Hearts have finally turned to stone
No more bright tomorrow, only sad today
My heart is filled with sorrow
The pain won't go away
Try to keep from crying
All night long and through the day
Lost and all alone
Hearts have finally turned to stone
No more bright tomorrow, only sad today
My heart is filled with sorrow
The pain won't go away
Just trying to keep from crying
All night long and through the day
Lost and all alone
Hearts have finally turned to stone

#121 of 365 Daily Drawings
Inspiration: I found myself baby-sitting my 3 year old niece for the day
Result: Lily napping
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Copic MultiLiner SP 0.03, Platinum Carbon Fountain Pen in a Stillman & Birn Gamma series sketchbook ( 21.6 cm 27.9 cm / 8 1/2" x 11")
Location: Home
Note: My niece was feeling under the weather and couldn't attend preschool. The little sweetie spent most of the day napping in a sunny room on the couch beside me as I read. I took the opportunity to practice ...
The Copic 0.03 is definitely too small to use outside smooth papers like that of the Epsilon series as the very fine tip catches too much and I'm sure would decrease the life span of the pen. Having said that the Gamma, like the Alpha series from Stillman & Birn take to the fountain pen very well but for my heavily lined work I will stick to the Epsilon and soon to be released Zeta series. I am hopeful that at some point this company will also introduce a smooth surfaced ivory paper for ink. It would be interesting to draw in sepia on ivory....
ANYway I am now officially 1/3 of the way through my year long project!
Inspiration: Washed the floors today...and....the cats do not particularly like when I do this thing.
Materials: platinum carbon fountain pen on Stillman & Birn, epsilon paper.
Notes: My year project is done so I an finished counting the drawings. Now they will appear at random, some mere scribbles while others are more involved pieces. While materials are liable to change from day to day, the subject matter will remain driven by fits of personal whimsy.

Take Me Back
Music & lyrics by Elton John & Bernie Taupin 1980
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want my loving take me back
If you miss my touch little girl take me back
When the dreams you lean on are beginning to crack
Open up your heart little girl and take me back
If you want my loving then take me back
If you're on your own little girl take me back
When the nights grow longer turning blacker than black
Open up your heart little girl and take me back
Playing a part you're well prepared for, there you stand
With all I ever cared for in your hand
I'm waiting all the time
For some kind of sign from you
And I'll go on and on this way
Waiting for the day
When I will hear you say
You'll take me back
If you want my loving well take me back
If you're feeling down little girl
Then you'll take me back
When you look around you for the love that you lack
Open up your heart little girl
You got my heart little girl
Make a start little girl
And say you'll take me back
Take me back
... are threatened with extinction...

....Trump is quoted as saying; "...you look at what's happeing last night in Sweden".....much to the perplextion and vexation of the Swedes, who have NO IDEA what he is talking about. It's like the The Böwling Grön Massacre all over again. This is my guess. ;)

Judy, Judy n'est pas jolie
Judy, Judy celle qu'on oublie
(Que l'on oublie)
Dès que la soirée s'achève
Judy, Judy on te charrie
Judy, Judy on te marie
(On te marie)
Et toujours avec un rêve
Sous ton rimmel et tes bijoux
Tu pries Sainte Marilyn Monroe
D'être une poupée, un beau joujou
Tu peux te plaindre
Enfin la femme
Judy, Judy se réfugie
Judy, Judy dans la magie
(dans la magie)
Des flacons si doux à boire
Judy la nuit
Fait un songe dérisoire
Un jour un soir changer de peau
Avec les pis sur les photos
A boire encore comme un roseau
Les yeux tout vides
Mais pas de rides
Judy, Judy & Compagnie
Judy, Judy qu'on sacrifie
(qu'on sacrifie)
Contre une poignée de neige
Pauvre Judy

Result: Day 4
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Sakura Micron 005 & Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils in a Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook
Location: apartment in Barcelona
Note: The following drawings are reflections of my trip to Spain, Dublin and Scotland. It's a combination sketchbook / journal. Not all of the pages contain writing ....those are yet to be filled in because while I did make a point of doing a drawing every day I really didn't have time to also fill in the blanks with words...those are to come. I just needed to get these posted so I could get my daily drawings back on track. :)
Training myself to draw has been an interesting exercise. I studied the workds of Nicolas de Crecy, the Rat Rod artists, Stephan Marjoram, R.Crumb, S.Clay Wilson and many others. While I certainly will never develop the kind of talent they had, this has been a good way to "kill time" during the various periods of lockdown here in France during the Covid Pandemic.

"There's no time for waiting
No future to see
Inside the next moment
Nothing might be
The answer's not certain
No time to decide
Is this the last curtain
There's no place to hide..."

"I was born on amen corner
I pound rock face, I get lonely
But my family they go hungry
Sill the boss man he call us lazy
Don't the old blue heaven
Look a lot like your eyes
When you're blinded by the brightness
Of the Transvaal sky..."

Inspiration: My recent birthday
Result: Infinity Dragon
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Micron 005 & 02 pens, in a Moleskine plain journal
Location: At home
Note: I have always been associated with dragons. I don't mean that I think I am one or feel an affinity for them, rather that throughout my life people have gifted me with dragon totems and nicknames. Born in the Year of the Dragon helps explain how it started, but not why it has persisted for decades. After a while it just became such a strong part of my identity that I now sport a dragon tattoo.
As a birthday card to myself I decided to draw one, curled in the symbol of infinity, which also happens to be the shape that my family has traditionally baked for birthdays a sweet bread made with saffron, raisins, orange peel and almonds instead of a cake with candles. :)
