Abandoned Bridge

Olympic National Park

The water was nice and still, just right for a LE shot of this iconic bridge. Processed in CS6 converted to mono with Silverefex pro.

Washington, DC - A sculpture titled "Infinity," by Jose de Rivera, outside the National Museum of American History

Another image I brought home from the Milwaukee Art Museum. Although many say that this building must be a photographer's dream, it also is a photographer's nightmare. Much of the structure and beauty is already there, and to find something new is what makes this building challenging.

Early evening shot of the Infinity Bridge at Stockton. Spent some chilly but pleasant evenings in the Teesside area with my 12 year old son taking pictures for the Rotary Club Photographic competition. This year's theme was 'Lighting Up The Community' and his take on it was places where the lights improve the community hence - Redcar, Saltburn and the Infinity Bridge in Stockton. It was great to be out together and hopefully something we'll do again soon. Having a theme really helped to focus on a subject. I taught him a bit about long exposures too and he got to use the tripod. Our images are broadly similar in terms of settings and composition I guess but to be honest I had as much fun as he did!

Lit by Speirs + Major, the distinctive footbridge over the River Tees has become a symbol of transformation for North East England.

The brief called for an iconic structure as part of the Stockton-on-Tees regeneration of the North Shore site. The resulting footbridge links the north and south shores and provides better access to business and jobs in the area.

Designed by Expedition Engineering, the slender bowstring bridge cuts a distinctive silhouette across the river. A 230m-long concrete walkway is supported by a pair of asymmetric steel arches that appear to skip across the river almost like a pebble skimming water.

Speirs + Major designed the lighting in such a way that the iconic twin arches reflect in the water at night to form the mathematical symbol for infinity (∞).

I should've put new batteries in that flashlight. It started fading while we were out there.

Infinity was really tough to get right. This is the best of this shape from the roll, I think.

I don't know, every time I look at this I see a bow-like shape rather than infinity. So the ? may be my choice so far. But my final choices sometimes change...

Calvin : If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently …

Hobbes: How so ?

Calvin : Well, when u look into the infinity of the night, you realize there are far more important things than what people do all day.

Shot of the Infinity Bridge in Stockton on Tees taken at sunset. I love the Silhouette of the bridge against the skyline. I also love the deep colours. Taken on a trip out with Clix Camera Club.

Also, I'm quite curious which of my designs you like best, so please place a note at the weapon you like best.

Hi everyone, yes it's been a while...

I enjoyed a recent winter break in Tenerife. This is a shot of the Infinity Pool at the Sensatori Resort at Guia De Asoria.

This photo was taken early morning on Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.

It was quite an experience being there and watching the sunrise.

The low angle of light was illuminating the edges of amazing salt formation created on the surface. It was still dark and I could see stars on the other side of the horizon. The vast area of salt flats makes the impression of infinity and the horizon is mostly not visible. The distant mountains you can see here are 6000 meters volcanos located some 60km away from where I was standing.

The Chitauri Scepter (Mind Stone), The Aether (Reality Stone), The Orb (Power Stone), The Eye Of Agamotto Amulet (Time Stone), The Tesseract Container (Space Stone) and the yet to be found Soul Stone.
