Another improvised night shot walking home from work this evening. Since I didn't have the tripod I sat the camera on a railing post that had a handy flat top to it, to take some pics along the Union Canal. On a whim I turned the camera to look down the hill from the bridge, just as some cars were going down and hitting their brakes, so I got these light trails. Sometimes you get lucky.

Viele Bildnisse von Freunden und Bekannten sind in den letzten Jahren entstanden. Einige davon möchte ich vorstellen. Manche sind auch sehr improvisiert und verfremdet dargestellt.
Many pictures of friends and acquaintances have emerged in recent years. I would like to introduce some of them. Some are also very improvised and alienated.

This is hardly an attractive scene, I know!!!! The water in this little stream is normally still and stagnant, but because of all the rain we have had recently was flowing quite rapidly. I didn't have my tripod, but noticed there was a 'v' shape formed by the overhanging branches of a tree. My camera fitted this improvised tripod perfectly with my new ND4 filter for this 5 second exposure.
I will try and find a more appealing and beautiful watery scene next time I try this (and take my tripod)!

As the last rays of February evening sun set the sparse cotton fields aglow, manifest freight M523 chews uphill at Dugout Lane with a nice pair of YN2 CW44s. Those same golden rays also give away the positioning of yours truly- atop my Nissan XTerra getting the drop on 'em.
is working with what you have at hand. Sometimes you can bend things a little to fit your needs.....other times you just go with the flow.

A handful of improvised night shots on the walk home tonight. Coming from work, so no tripod, just sat the camera on the edge of the bridge over the Union Canal, set the timer and took a few snaps.
