The wind and the cool temperatures got Tug all fired up at the beach last night. Della was so not impressed!
This young cowboy is giving it it his all, but the folks in the audience do not appear overly enthused.
The cows gathered to watch the HST but this one doesn't seem to be impressed with 88s as 88006 is seen at Great Strickland working 4S44 1205 Daventry - Mossend 4/6/22.

Mais ce n'est qu'une Impression . . .

I am doing a study of New York City street vendors and workers. When I saw these men working next to a green storage shed in midtown Manhattan, I was overwhelmed by the colors and I asked them to pose for me. They are lovely guys!

Rio Paiva is a well-known Portuguese river, located in Serra Leomil and more particularly in the perish of Old Pear. The river flows into the Douro in the Castelo de Paiva. The question of which is North Portugal’s best place for rafting, is a difficult question to answer. North Portugal is gifted with many impressive landscapes and an unspoilt natural beauty. Being widely known for the perfect rafting conditions, Paiva River is the best place to practice this thrilling activity. From the town Castro Daire we manage to reach the rapids of the Paiva River. We were impressed and the scenery is gorgeous although it was not easy to reach. For this reason alone, you need proper shoes because of the loose stones on the hill and muddy uneven path. Having said that, if you plan to walk the full 16 km round trip, you’ll want decent footwear anyway.
The Rio Paiva, a river in north-east Portugal ia a tributary of the river Douro is widely known for the perfect rafting conditions. along the river we enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty, with picturesque landscapes, waterfalls and a variety of fauna and flora species.
This is the former 1909 Police Headquarters at 240 Centre (correct spelling) St.The structure sits on a triangular lot that's in the center of three neighborhoods,SoHo,NoLita, and TriBeca. The Beaux Arts building was built around the time of the City Beautiful Movement (1890-1900) in the US.The Movement introduced monumental structures like this to add beauty to city neighborhoods at a time when there were many run-down tenements, high birth rates, and poverty in the area. When this building was designed it was for the purpose of "impressing both the police officer and prisoner with the majesty of the law".Another principle of the movement was that "civil structures foster civil behavior".I don't know about that one. The structure was converted to condominiums in 1983 with some of the rooms having 15'+ ceilings.People like L. DiCaprio,Steffi Graf, and Calvin Klein have lived here,or currently do daytoninmanhattan.blogspot.com/2010/07/240-centre-street-...
People just can't resist these games at carnivals and fairs. Lay your money down and try to win a small prize. Lay some more money down to win another small prize. Trade those in on a slightly larger prize. Repeat until you win the big prize, or run out of money. Whichever comes first.

On Saturday late afternoon we went to see St Mary's Cathedral near Japantown in San Francisco. A service was in session, we were asked to wait until it finished. The church has beautiful stained glass windows. After the congregation left I took this photo in the center aisle facing back from a low point of view to catch the reflections on the floor.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from three RAW exposures.
