I found this week's challenge impossible. So here is a my submission and admission of defeat-a random photo with a fun filter. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good week.

This is the Expedition Impossible ride. I went on it three times in a row without having to line up for a long time because I had the express passes :)

"All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection. So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible." - William Faulkner

Against appearances I do, in fact, have limbs.

While waiting for clearance through a work authority just ahead, I stopped the Hoosier State so that I could gts of my train splitting the searchlights at MP 91 just south of Monon, IN. Normally if I were moving at track speed this shot would be impossible as the 91.1 signal (facing us) would not have illuminated as it takes a few seconds for the circuits to energize and by that time the train would block the view of the signal. 30°C development makes for orange tinge

I had an idea floating in my head for awhile and once my Lab came back from repairs in the Netherlands (the eject button was not functioning) I took the original Orme scan (link below) and added the text in Photoshop. The font is VT323 available on Google Fonts.

Then, I transferred the picture to my phone where I used it to print out a new picture from the Lab. The orange frame is a happy incident.

I could have just done everything in Photoshop, but that was not the point. I wanted an actual, tangible, photograph with that "artefact" in place.

Shot some 8x10 Impossible instant film today. I screwed up loading this sheet and let some light in before the exposure. But I kinda like it anyway.

I worked with Maggie and Me Too yesterday. They were consummate professionals.

Impossible Black & White

This is certainly a milestone release from The Impossible Project Tokyo (way to go Japan!). PX 600 Silver Shade UV+ BLACK FRAME edition and GREY FRAME edition is now available at all city'super and LOG-ON (except city'super IFC).

For months I kept the excitement and my mouth shut until the above POP arrived us for in-store usage, I was deeply thankful for Impossible Tokyo's support, you can see the details they crafted into the decoration, and I hate to say that I had to take the above photo offline after a few hours of posting it, because it hinted these two B&W treasures before their time to be known. For this, I apologize to TIP.

Now back in the end of January when I was in Tokyo visiting TIP gallery store with Mijonju, Impossible Tokyo mastermind Jun Akaike showed us what were to come and we were speechless. A PX 600 film in high contrast black and white wrapped with a very cool black frame!

Just don't mind the "mushroom" and "loose lamination problem" you see in these prototype films, coz they won't happen in the production versions. The images this film produces are simply stunning, comparing to the previous TIP films. They also brought back the familiar 600 film image softness and your excitement when the film is developed.

Check out this flickr set to see more images and the photo of the Tokyo gallery store. I shall be shooting these films in a few hours myself, will be exciting to share.

On black is the way to go

Experimenting with the new PX100 instant film from The Impossible Project. Although the two frames that I've uploaded have worked, the rest of the pack = not so much. Pleased with this one though, particularly the strange vignetting/outline around the flowers.

Got another pack to go so fingers crossed, I've worked it out now. This is a temperamental little film, but beautiful if you can strike on the correct way to develop it!
