The important thing to know is that the ModEEG requires shielded electrode cables. Most electrode cables you see for sale online are not shielded.
The cables I (and many others) have made and getting good results comprise of the following:
o 25 feet (for 2ch + DLR) of RG-174 shielded coax cable (a common cable type available from many electronic suppliers).
o WBT-DSC electrodes from The Electrode Store: www.electrodestore.com/EEG/EEG.lasso?ran=3C2EC848&S=1...
o a handful of Molex .062" male and female connectors (get a bunch as I kept going back to store after I messed up some crimp attempts)
o mini-XLR or RCA to connect cable to your openeeg box. I used the regular (large) XLR balanced microphone connectors from Radio Shack and it seems to work fine.
I also use silver earclip electrodes for when I want to use the ear as reference (most of the time)

Also - I purchased some male .062" molex connectors and soldered them onto a short lead coming off of the earclip electrodes...that way I can swing from the earclip electrode to plugging in a regular disc electrode for bipolar montage (two electrodes on the scalp). I can post pics of this if this rambling is not making sense.

L'Armada est un large rassemblement de grands voiliers organisé à Rouen, dans la Seine-Maritime. Il est un des évènements importants du monde de la mer. Il a lieu tous les quatre à six ans sur les quais de la Seine, au sein même de la métropole normande.
Cette manifestation dure en général une dizaine de jours.
Naissance et évolution de l'évènement
L'idée est venue à la suite d'une course transatlantique entre Rouen et New York qui célébrait le centième anniversaire de la traversée de l'Atlantique par la Statue de la Liberté en 1986. La course fut remporté par le catamaran Roger et Gallet skippé par Éric Loizeau et Patrick Tabarly. Les principaux fondateurs sont Patrick Herr et Jean Lecanuet qui cherchaient une idée pour redynamiser les quais de Rouen.
Ainsi il fut décidé de faire venir les plus grands voiliers du monde à Rouen pour le bicentenaire de la Révolution. La manifestation fut un tel succès qu'elle devint un rendez-vous régulier. Au fil des éditions, la panoplie de bateaux invités s'ouvrit entre autres aux navires de guerre (porte-hélicoptères, sous-marins…) et aux péniches.
C'est une manifestation gratuite pour les visiteurs.
L'arrivée des navires
Les navires arrivent à Rouen au fur et à mesure. Certains ont à démonter en partie le haut de leurs mâts pour pouvoir passer sous les trois ponts en aval de Rouen : le pont de Normandie, le pont de Tancarville et le pont de Brotonne.
Ils ne remontent pas plus haut que le pont Guillaume-le-Conquérant, ce dernier étant trop bas pour permettre aux bateaux de passer, seuls les sous-marins remontent plus en amont. Les navires accostent alors rive droite et rive gauche sur plusieurs kilomètres. Pour permettre aux navires de retrouver ce lieu en 2008, le sixième pont de Rouen, le pont Gustave-Flaubert (en aval du pont Guillaume-le-Conquérant) a été spécialement conçu pour laisser passer les navires.
La manifestation
Durant les dix jours, les quartiers de Rouen sont aux couleurs des différentes nationalités des bateaux invités. Près de 8 000 marins sont présents dans les rues rouennaises.
Des concerts ont lieu tous les jours sur les quais et chaque soir un feu d'artifice est tiré. Le feu d'artifice de clôture est particulièrement soigné. La patrouille de France est également présente pour l'occasion. D'autres animations sont également au programme.
The Armada is a large gathering of tall ships organized in Rouen, in Seine-Maritime. It is one of the important events of the world of the sea. It takes place every four to six years on the banks of the Seine, in the very heart of the Normandy metropolis.
This event usually lasts about ten days.
Birth and evolution of the event
The idea came after a transatlantic race between Rouen and New York celebrating the 100th anniversary of the crossing of the Atlantic by the Statue of Liberty in 1986. The race was won by the catamaran Roger and Gallet skippered by Eric Loizeau and Patrick Tabarly. The main founders are Patrick Herr and Jean Lecanuet who were looking for an idea to revitalize the quays of Rouen.
Thus it was decided to bring the world's largest sailing ships to Rouen for the bicentenary of the Revolution. The event was so successful that it became a regular meeting. Over the course of the editions, the panoply of guest boats opened, among others, to warships (helicopter carriers, submarines ...) and barges.
It is a free event for visitors.
The arrival of ships
The ships arrive in Rouen as and when. Some have to dismount part of the top of their masts to be able to pass under the three bridges downstream of Rouen: the bridge of Normandy, the bridge of Tancarville and the bridge of Brotonne.
They do not go higher than the bridge Guillaume-le-Conquérant, the latter being too low to allow the boats to pass, only the submarines go back upstream. The ships then land right bank and left bank for several kilometers. To allow the ships to find this place in 2008, the sixth bridge of Rouen, the Gustave-Flaubert bridge (downstream of the bridge Guillaume-le-Conquérant) was specially designed to let the ships.
The demonstration
During the ten days, the districts of Rouen are in the colors of the different nationalities of the invited boats. Nearly 8,000 sailors are present in the streets of Rouen.
Concerts are held every day on the docks and every night a fireworks is fired. The firework fence is particularly neat. The patrouille de France is also present for the occasion. Other animations are also on the program.

A rather small, but historically important gothic castle founded around 1330 in deep Moravian woods. Soon the founder got into a conflict with the Moravian markgrave about another castle which he illegaly held, and in 1350 markgrave´s army besieged the castle. The feud was settled through selling of Cimburk to the markgrave, and the castle has been rebuilt to provide more comfort. Pledge owners changed in the next century, Vok IV. of Holstein became a owner officially but the current owner was not informed, so Vok simply assaulted the castle in 1406 and took over. The Holstein family held it for the next decades, fortifications have been damaged in 1421 by a unsuccesful Hussite siege. The king held the right of free enter and to use the castle for defense, which shows how an important forrtess it was at that time. In 1468 the Hungarian invasion army of Matthias Corvinus seized the castle in their campaign against Bohemia, after their withdrawal it´s fortifications have been completely rebuilt and upgraded. In 1523 it became hereditary property of Vilém of Víckov (the family which founded Víckov Castle, which I visited a while ago), ending the fast changing series of pledge owners. In 1623 the current castle owner has been captured by Transylvanian count Gábor Betlen, who took the castle through the betrayal of the owners brother. The owner had to pay 10000 gold pieces for his freedom, which heavily indebted the estate. The next siege came in 1645, when Swedes invaded Moravia - they were unable to seize it, but ravaged the surroundings. In 1663 the castle became a safe haven from a Turkish invasion of Moravia, but after the Turks have been defeated at Vienna in 1683 it lost it´s defense importance, and the owners moved to a nearby fort rebuilt into a renaissance chateau. Definitive abandonement came in early 18th Century.
Unlike many other abandoned castles, Cimburk has not been left by the people. Archeological research and some conservation efforts have been done throug the 20th Century, and in the last twenty years a volunteer group systematically works to preserve the place for next generations, slowly repairing and securing critical areas with original material and technology. It looks like a century of work now, but without this effort the castle would fall apart in the next twenty years.

The Town Hall Square is located in the first District of Vienna, Inner City. It is named after the erected here (new) Vienna City Hall. Due to its size, design and architecture of the buildings bordering the square it is considered one of the most important places in the center of Vienna.
History

In the area of today's town square was once the Josefstädterstraße Glacis, held as a free field of fire meadows before the walls of Vienna, and later the parade and parade ground of the Imperial Army. During the construction of the Ringstrasse from 1858 this military site remained untouched for some time until the army after long efforts of Mayor Cajetan Felder had abstained and the expansion of the city funds could develop a Baulinienplan (building line plan) for the area. During this time, other locations were considered for the Hall.
Now the Town Hall Square, the largest square in the recessed ring road zone was provided. The northern and southern part of the square shaped city gardener Rudolf Siebeck 1872/1873 as City Hall Park, the central square of the axis Town Hall-Burgtheater, was kept free. 1873, the foundation was laid for the construction of the New Town Hall. 1874, work began on the Town Hall at the former Franzensring opposite the Burgtheater and the south of the square adjacent parliament building (north side front: Town Square 6). From 1877 to the new main building of the University of Vienna (southern side front: Town Square 5 ) built. Are installed on the three sides of the square five blocks with nine home numbers (No. 1 to No. 9), the fourth side is bordered by the ring.
In course of time the name of the place changed four times. In 1870 he was created as Town Hall Square, renamed in 1907 after the incumbent Christian Social mayor in Dr.-Karl -Lueger -Platz. The dominant Red Vienna since 1919, this appeared to be inappropriate, as Lueger in Vienna had prevented the universal and equal male suffrage, in 1907 introduced at state level. Therefore, the of a private committee donated Luegerdenkmal under the rule of mayor Karl Seitz was not, as intended by the Committee, in the town square erected but built in 1926 on a previously unnamed square corner Wollzeile/Stubenring and this place in the same year Dr.-Karl-Lueger-Platz named. The town square was returned to its original name. In 1938, the place was again renewed to Adolf Hitler Platz, what was reversed in 1945.
Christmas Market at City Hall
The large space between City Hall and the Burgtheater was used by all the rulers for political rallies. Since 1921, with its current form dates back to 1929 and was interrupted from 1933 to 1945, it is the traditional final rally of the Vienna SPÖ Maiaufmarsches (May-Procession) on 1 In May at the Town Hall Square. In addition, the space is exploited for most of the year for cultural and social events. The most important of them since 1975, the Christmas market in November and December, the Vienna Ice Dream in January and February, the opening of the Vienna Festival in May and open-air cinema screenings with classical music in July and August. The Life Ball at Vienna City Hall refers also to the town square. Traditionally, a since 1959 every year from one of the states erected large Christmas tree as a gift to the federal capital.
Location and characteristics
The Town Hall Square is located between the extended Grillparzerstraße to the north, the University Ring to the east, the extended Stadiongasse in the south and the extended Reichsratsstrasse in the West. Except the ring on which there are no buildings on this street, bear the buildings that are on the place in the wake of these streets, house numbers of the town square. Stadiongasse and Grillparzerstraße end before the court, the Reichsratsstrasse is interrupted by the court.
About two- thirds of the space area of 40,000 m² are taken from the City Hall park, which is divided by a blocked to traffic, very wide access road between the Burgtheater and the Rathaus, which offers space for events, into a northern and southern half. The town square is lined by some of the most important monumental Ringstrassen-Zone in historicist style. In the square itself is a large number of monuments and statues. Thus, the town square is one of the most representative places in Vienna.
The tram lines 1 and D operate on the ring road and have at the City Hall Square opposite the Burg Theatre and at the corner of Parliament stops. Coming from the south and from the ring turning, operates tram line 2 on the southern edge of the town square to Stadiongasse. The individual passes through traffic heading north on the eastern edge of the square on the ring road in the opposite direction behind the Town Hall on the two-line (Zweierlinie). Cycling trails pass off on the ring road and at the Grillparzerstraße and Stadiongasse. Behind the town hall runs the subway line U2 to the City Hall with the subway station as shuttle to City Hall and City Hall Square.
Building

The central building in the middle of the west side of the town square is the City Hall, built in 1873-1883 by Friedrich von Schmidt, New Town Hall, Town Hall called only since about 1970. The powerful, dominating the square building was designed by the Dutch Gothic models. It should express the political power of the strengthened bourgeosie against the monarch and the aristocracy.
The City Council has at the Town Hall no main entrance or direct access to the arcade court, they are located on the side fronts of Felderstraße and Lichtenfelsgasse, another entrance is at the rear front at the Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz. The town hall itself is essentially the so-called People's Hall on the ground floor of the town hall via a staircase outdoors is accessible (inputs centered under the town hall tower and left and right). The People's Hall is occasionally used for exhibitions. The outlet is located at the corner of Felderstraße to City Hall basement.

No. 2, 3 and 4: Arcade Shops
The block north of City Hall was built in 1880-1883 by Franz von Neumann. Plan requirement was to equip the buildings (such as on the west side of the Imperial Parliament Street, in the course of which they are) at the town square with arcades. Held in the old German style, houses have remarkable corner projections made with domes. At the central projection there are respectively balconies on herma. The attic floor is decorated with stucco relief female figures. The rib-vaulted arcades are painted with grotesques by Franz and Carl Jobst and equipped with cast iron lanterns. Particularly important are the foyers on No. 4 (and at the back of the block on the Ebendorferstraße 4). Frieze reliefs show the allegories of commerce, the arts and commerce. A large ceiling painting depicts the apotheosis of Vindobona. Lanterns and railings are made of wrought iron.

On the north side of the town square is the front side of the main building of the University of Vienna. The main work of the late phase of the strict historicism was built in 1873-1884 by Heinrich von Ferstel. The 29-axle side facade is broken repeatedly by risalits as well as by half and full columns. Statues of Anton Schmidgruber and Franz Koch standing in relation to the philosophical faculty. The building has no open entrance here .
No. 6: Parliament
On the south side of the town square is the side front of the parliament building, which was built as Reichsratsgebäude for Cisleithania. It is the most important work of the architect Theophil von Hansen, the latter founded 1871-1883 by ancient Greek models. At the Town Hall Square, the Parliament has a covered side entrance, originally a carriage way.

South of the Town Hall is located one block of houses with arcades, built 1877/1878 of City Hall architect Friedrich von Schmidt and Franz Neumann in old German forms. These were the first houses with arcades of City Hall district. Dominant are domes on corner risalit and central dome, bay windows, balconies, putti frieze and statues of Venus and Mars on the facade. In the rib-vaulted arcades are embedded gates with half column portals and acroterion figures. The lobbies are decorated with stucco ceilings, among other rich and grotesque painting. At No. 8 is located under the arcades the in City Hall circles famous café and pastry shop Sluka.
City Hall Park
At the request of Mayor Felder the City Hall Park was created as a complementary recreation area in the Ring Road zone. It is a strictly historicist Park, which was created as the city park of city gardener Rudolf Siebeck. The green area is north and south of a link road from the Burgtheater on the Ring to the City Hall laid out, which extends space-like in front of City Hall. In each of the two parts is a Rondeau Park with fountains, which are intended to highlight the two Viennese spring water lines and were financed by the builder Antonio Gabrielli.
Orientation plan
Under the old trees of the park there are five trees that are designated as natural monuments in Vienna. A lime in the southern part of the park was planted on the occasion of the 50th anniversary jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1898, an oak tree, also in the southern part of the park in 1906 for the then incumbent mayor Karl Lueger. Winding paths lead through the two parts of the park. The garden fence is original historicist. In the northern part of the park is a large children's play area. A 1890 in the southern part of the park built weather house, destroyed during the Second World War, was renewed in 1955 with mosaics of Mary Biljan-Bilger. The modern toilet facilities were designed by Luigi Blau.

Directly between the two parts of the park in 1902 eight stone monuments of significant figures in the history of Vienna were placed four at each park side facing each other. They had been established in 1867 on the balustrades of the former Elizabeth Bridge over the river (Wienfluss) on Karlsplatz. When in 1897 the bridge was demolished in this area because of the light rail construction and the resulting vaulting of the Wienfluss, the eight monuments first have been put along the then still in the incision extending new light rail line on the Karlsplatz, where they but heavily by the soot of steam locomotives polluted monuments were popularly called eight chimney sweepers. Therefore, they were transferred to the town square later:

The most recent monument in the park, built in 1993, commemorates the wartime destruction of Vienna in 1945 and was by Hubert Wilfan under the title Yesterday - Today created from stone.

An important crossing of the North Saskatchewan River, carrying the Yellowhead highway. The older concrete bowstring-arch bridge was built as a Depression make-work project and opened in 1937, replacing a ferry service. It was designed by Bev Evans for his master's thesis while a graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan. Construction took place between 1935 and 1937 by R. J. Arrand Company of Saskatoon. At 250 metres long, the bridge was the longest bow-string arch bridge in North America at construction.

The Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW), located in The Domain in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. The Gallery's first public exhibition opened in 1874. Admission is free to the general exhibition space, which displays Australian art (from settlement to contemporary), European and Asian art. A dedicated Asian Gallery was opened in 2003.

On 24 April 1871, a public meeting was convened in Sydney to establish an Academy of Art 'for the purpose of promoting the fine arts through lectures, art classes and regular exhibitions.' From 1872 until 1879 the Academy's main activity was the organisation of annual art exhibitions. The first exhibition of colonial art, under the auspices of the Academy, was held at the Chamber of Commerce, Sydney Exchange in 1874. In 1875 Apsley Falls by Conrad Martens, commissioned by the trustees and purchased for £50 out of the first government grant of £500, became the first work on paper by an Australian artist to be acquired by the Gallery.[2]
The Gallery's collection was first housed at Clark's Assembly Hall in Elizabeth Street where it was open to the public on Friday and Saturday afternoons. The collection was relocated in 1879 to a wooden annexe to the Garden Palace built for the Sydney International Exhibition in the Domain and was officially opened as "The Art Gallery of New South Wales". In 1882, the first Director, Eliezer Montefiore and his fellow trustees opened the art gallery on Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 5 pm. Montefiore believed:
... the public should be afforded every facility to avail themselves of the educational and civilising influence engendered by an exhibition of works of art, bought, moreover, at the public expense.[3]
The destruction of the Garden Palace by fire in 1882 placed pressure on the government to provide a permanent home for the national collection.[2] In 1883 private architect John Horbury Hunt was engaged by the trustees to submit designs. The same year there was a change of name to "The National Art Gallery of New South Wales". The Gallery was incorporated by The Library and Art Gallery Act 1899.[4][5]
In 1895, the new Colonial Architect, Walter Liberty Vernon (1846–1914), was given the assignment to design the new permanent gallery and two picture galleries were opened in 1897 and a further two in 1899. A watercolour gallery was added in 1901 and in 1902 the Grand Oval Lobby was completed.[5]
20th century
Over 300,000 people came to the Gallery during March and April 1906 to see Holman Hunt’s painting The Light of the World. In 1921, the inaugural Archibald Prize was awarded to W.B. McInnes for his portrait of architect Desbrowe Annear. The equestrian statues The offerings of peace and The offerings of war by Gilbert Bayes were installed in front of the main facade in 1926.[6] James Stuart MacDonald was appointed director and secretary in 1929. In 1936 the inaugural Sulman Prize was awarded to Henry Hanke for La Gitana. John William Ashton was appointed director and secretary in 1937.[2]

The first woman to win the Archibald Prize was Nora Heysen in 1938 with her portrait Mme Elink Schuurman, the wife of the Consul General for the Netherlands. The same year electric light was temporarily installed at the Gallery to remain open at night for the first time. In 1943 William Dobell won the Archibald Prize for Joshua Smith, causing considerable controversy. Hal Missingham was appointed director and secretary in 1945.
In 1958 the Art Gallery of New South Wales Act was amended and the Gallery’s name reverted to "The Art Gallery of New South Wales".[7]
In 1969 construction began on the Captain Cook wing to celebrate the bicentenary of Cook's landing in Botany Bay. The new wing opened in May 1972, following the retirement of Missingham and the appointment of Peter Phillip Laverty as director in 1971.[2]
The first of the modern blockbusters to be held at the Gallery was Modern masters: Monet to Matisse in 1975. It attracted 180,000 people over 29 days. The 1976 the Biennale of Sydney was held at the Gallery for the first time. The Sydney Opera House had been the location for the inaugural Biennale in 1973. 1977 saw an exhibition "A selection of recent archaeological finds of the People's Republic of China."[8][9] Edmund Capon was appointed director in 1978 and in 1980 The Art Gallery of New South Wales Act (1980) established the "Art Gallery of New South Wales Trust".[10] It reduced the number of trustees to nine and stipulated that "at least two" members "shall be knowledgeable and experienced in the visual arts".[2]
With the support of then Premier Neville Wran a major extension of the Gallery became a Bicennential project. Opened just in time in December 1988, the extensions doubled the floor space of the Gallery. In 1993 Kevin Connor won the inaugural Dobell Prize for Drawing for Pyrmont and city. In 1994, the Yiribana Gallery, dedicated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, was opened.[2]
Dance plays an important role in South Asian weddings, from pre-wedding rituals, to uniting the bride and groom and their families, to post-wedding celebrations enjoyed by the entire community. In this program, the National Women’s Dance Troupe of Sri Lanka will teach and showcase traditional wedding dances of Kandyan weddings in Sri Lanka. Aeilushi and Paulom Mistry will teach and showcase Garba dance from India and share the Guajarati adornment customs of henna, bindi, the saree for women and dhoti for men. Navdeep Matta will teach and showcase bhangra, a lively form of music and dance that originated in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. Annie Ferdous and the Bangladeshi Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA) will showcase elements of Muslim and Hindu wedding ceremonies in Bangladesh and teach the Bangladeshi dhamail circle dance.

Hendrik Petrus Berlage is one of the most important renovators of Netherlands' architecture at the end of the 19th century. He is born in Amsterdam in 1856. After failing artschool he studies architecture at the Zürich Institute of Technology under Gottfried Semper from 1875 until 1878, after which he travels extensively through Europe. Back in Amsterdam in 1882 he starts working at the office of Theodorus Sanders. Together they design several buildings in neo-Renaissance style, including a first design for the Amsterdam commodities exchange. In 1884 they form a partnership. From 1889 Berlage is working on his own, and designs in the then fashionable style of Jugendstil. In that year he presents himself at the World Exhibition in Paris with the design for a mausoleum, a plea for eternal peace. A first hint at Berlage's utopian socialistic ideas. In a wave of political naivity he later even makes a design for a mausoleum for Soviet dictator Lenin. A more important consequence of his socialism is the idea of Community Art (Gemeenschapskunst); artists of various disciplines working together on art that serves the community. Several of Berlage's important designs were made in this spirit.
Berlage is best known for his final design for the Amsterdam commodities exchange. The style in which this building is built becomes known as Rationalism. Important elements of this style are the honest use of materials (all used materials should be recognizable), clarity of construction (no unnecessary ornamentation) and craftmanship in the execution. Brick is the preferred material of use, although natural stone is used for parts that need accentuating. Walls are usually completely flat, with the sparse decorative elements flush with the walls. This building is considered to be the beginning of modern architecture in the Netherlands, and although representing only a phase in Berlage's career, it remains a major influences until well into the 1950's. Several protestant architects, like Tj. Kuipers, design churches in a style close to Berlage's style. The traditionalistic architects of the Delft School, especially A.J. Kropholler, continue this style long after Berlage has abandoned it, and develop it even further using Berlage's ideas. On the other hand the Amsterdam School in its first years is partially a reaction to Berlage's assumed conservatism, with an expressionistic style that definitely breaks the rules of honest use of materials and clarity of construction.
A visit to the U.S.A. in 1911 has a great impact on Berlage's work. The work of Henry Hobson Richardson, Louis H. Sullivan, and especially Frank Lloyd Wright become important influences until the end of his career.
Later in his career Berlage becomes more active in town planning. His plan for the enlargement of Amsterdam-South (1914-1915) is the most important project. Berlage also designed furniture, and even wrote several plays. Berlage died in Den Haag (The Hague) in 1934, to where he had moved his office in 1913.

Calgary must have drawn the short straw when it came to the date for their Pride Parade... the September Labour Day Weekend is more a signal for winter's begin than the ending of summer... Nonetheless, the coolish weather did not deter Calgarians who love our amazing diversity from turning out to enjoy a wonderful parade. It was deeply touching to see so many individuals, families, parents and children, all decked out to say YAY! to diversity. Even after the parade, walking back to the car, I saw hundreds of flags, socks, etc magically spreading out into the city, as if driven like snow in a blizzard by an awesome fairy queen! Although it is essentially our LGBTQ Parade, many other groups and even businesses have joined in to really accentuate what diversity truly means. Along with our community march a lot of other communities who realize that love, joy, and celebrating who you actually are is so much more important than religious or political dogma. Kudos go our stunning Filipino Community which shares this day to celebrate our mutual fabulousness and it was great to see so many in the parade! As a fundamentally shy person myself, and Larry even more so, I find this parade such a unique opportunity to highlight truly beautiful faces - I hope you spend some time exploring the wonderful diversity of faces I was able to capture in almost every image. Celebrating diversity (as opposed to grudgingly tolerating it) is a highly political act. Our current government in Alberta, with it's increasingly cruel policies and initiatives, seems to be attacking our hard-won acceptance of diversity, and wouldn't dare showing its face here...

The most important and prestigious religious building in Peru, the Monasterio de Santa Catalina is a convent which housed almost two hundred secluded nuns and three hundred servants from the late sixteenth century until it opened some of its outer doors to the public in 1970. Its enormous complex of rooms, cloisters and tiny plazas takes a good hour or two to explore. Some thirty nuns still live here today.
Originally the concept of Gaspar Vae in 1570, though only granted official licence five years later, the convent was funded by the Viceroy Toledo and the wealthy Maria de Guzmán, who later entered the convent with one of her sisters and donated all her riches to the community. The most striking feature is its predominantly Mudéjar style, adapted by the Spanish from the Moors, but which rarely found its way into their colonial buildings. The quality of the design is emphasized and harmonized by a superb interplay between the strong sunlight, white stone and brilliant colours in the ceilings and the deep-blue sky above the maze of narrow interior streets.

Is the most important festival of Kamakhya temple of Guwahati and is held every year during monsoon (mid-June). It is a ritual of austerities celebrated with 'Tantric rites'. It is a common belief that the reigning diety, 'Kamakhya' , 'The Mother Shakti' goes through her annual cycle of menstruation during this period.
During Ambubashi the doors of the temple remain closed for three days. It is believed that the earth becomes impure for three days. During this time no farming work is undertaken. Daily worship and other religious performances are suspended during this period. After three days, the temple doors are reopened after the Goddess is bathed and other rituals performed. It is believed that the mother earth regains her purity now. This is purely a ritual of Tantric cult.
Ambubachi mela is held at the Kamakhya temple, after being closed for the afore-mentioned three days. On the fourth day only the devotees are allowed to enter inside the temple for worship. Thousands of devotees from all over India visit this mela.

with the Focus of this Race being on the Lotus Elise S1 S2 and S3 with Just One Qualifying Session and Just 1 Race This will be A Test of Will Power and Determination on the Track to see who can Take Victory.

In First Place taking the Pole and Fastest Lap was (Maurizio Sciglio) in his Lotus Elise S2 with a Best Lap Time of 53.544 and a Top Speed of 81.21mph. Fantastic work there Maurizio to take P1 and start o the Front Row of the Grid.

In Third Place was (Simon Walsh) in his Lotus Elise S2 111R with a Best Lap Time of 54.076 and a Top Speed of 80.41mph. Incredible Drive from Simon to put Himself in P3.
With Three Very Quick Drivers in Maurizio Jason and Simon it was Time to see if Anyone Could challenge them and Win the Only Race of the Day for the Lotus Elise Trophy.

In First Place taking The Victory was (Jason Mcinulty) in his Lotus Elise S3 with a Lap Time of 54.638 and an Average Speed of 66.83mph. Fantastic Victory for Jason taking P1 and The Race Win for the Elise Trophy. Phenomenal Driving too.
In Second Place was (John Lamaster) in his Lotus Elise S2 135R with a Lap Time of 54.781 and an Average Speed of 66.75mph. Fantastic work John and So Great to see a New Face on the Podium Taking P2 what an Incredible Driver.
In Third Place was (David Alexander) in his Lotus Elise S1 with a Lap Time of 55.589 and an Average Speed of 66.62mph. Very Well Driven Dave Keeping an Eye out all over the Place and Bringing Home a Superb P3 Finish.

Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
Now it was Time to head Back to the Blue Badged Ford Machines Once again as the Modified Ford Series Rolled out onto the Race Track with each car being Heavily Modified from their Road Counterparts. With Escort Cosworth's and RS200's Roaring and Ready to go it was Time to see what the First Group A set of Drivers could do in Qualifying.
Due to how large the Grids were and the Fact that both Group A and Group B Have Different Races I will only be putting up results from both Qualifying Sessions from Group A and Group B. Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
In First Place Taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was (David Cockell) in his Ford Escort Cosworth with a Best Lap Time of 49.872 and a Top Speed of 87.19mph. Very Well Done David Keeping that Escort on the Track Must Have Taken some Practice no Doubt Amazing work on Getting Pole.
In Second Place was (Wayne Crabtree) in his Ford RS200 with a Best Lap Time of 51.121 and a Top Speed of 85.06mph. Very Fast Drive from Wayne to take P2 and a Very Solid Drive Thought.

Now it was Time for Group B to make a stance and see what their Modified Ford Racing Machines could do. with How Fast and Action Packed Group A Had Been During both The Races and Qualifying Group B was looking to be much the Same.

Enduro KA (Qualifying)
The Final Qualifying Session of the Day Had Come and its the Enduro KA'S. with all of the Cars on the Grid being Models of the Popular Ford KA made Between 1998-2009 thease Cars were Fun City cars that could get you from A to B with Ease. They were Also Build on a tight budget meaning that Handling Performance and Comfort were a Big Selling point of thease Brilliant little cars.
The Racing Versions seen here in the pictures however are built for Racing. they use different tyres but still the same Legendary 1.3 Dura Tec Engine found in their Road Going Counterparts.

The Support Races Featured During the Day were also Full of Different Makes and Models of Ford Racing Cars From The Focus RS to the Ford Escort and the Iconic Sierra Cosworth and even the Iconic Enduro KA series was Present and with Drivers and Spectators Ready the Racing was about to begin.

Next Up is the MSR Elise Trophy
with the Focus of this Race being on the Lotus Elise S1 S2 and S3 with Just One Qualifying Session and Just 1 Race This will be A Test of Will Power and Determination on the Track to see who can Take Victory.

In First Place taking the Pole and Fastest Lap was (Maurizio Sciglio) in his Lotus Elise S2 with a Best Lap Time of 53.544 and a Top Speed of 81.21mph. Fantastic work there Maurizio to take P1 and start o the Front Row of the Grid.

With Three Very Quick Drivers in Maurizio Jason and Simon it was Time to see if Anyone Could challenge them and Win the Only Race of the Day for the Lotus Elise Trophy.

In First Place taking The Victory was (Jason Mcinulty) in his Lotus Elise S3 with a Lap Time of 54.638 and an Average Speed of 66.83mph. Fantastic Victory for Jason taking P1 and The Race Win for the Elise Trophy. Phenomenal Driving too.
In Second Place was (John Lamaster) in his Lotus Elise S2 135R with a Lap Time of 54.781 and an Average Speed of 66.75mph. Fantastic work John and So Great to see a New Face on the Podium Taking P2 what an Incredible Driver.
In Third Place was (David Alexander) in his Lotus Elise S1 with a Lap Time of 55.589 and an Average Speed of 66.62mph. Very Well Driven Dave Keeping an Eye out all over the Place and Bringing Home a Superb P3 Finish.

Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
Now it was Time to head Back to the Blue Badged Ford Machines Once again as the Modified Ford Series Rolled out onto the Race Track with each car being Heavily Modified from their Road Counterparts. With Escort Cosworth's and RS200's Roaring and Ready to go it was Time to see what the First Group A set of Drivers could do in Qualifying.
Due to how large the Grids were and the Fact that both Group A and Group B Have Different Races I will only be putting up results from both Qualifying Sessions from Group A and Group B. I will Leave a Link Below each Qualifying Session so you can Get All the Race Result's and Action from the 4 Different Races.
Modified Ford Series (Qualifying Group A)
In First Place Taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was (David Cockell) in his Ford Escort Cosworth with a Best Lap Time of 49.872 and a Top Speed of 87.19mph. Very Well Done David Keeping that Escort on the Track Must Have Taken some Practice no Doubt Amazing work on Getting Pole.

The Final Qualifying Session of the Day Had Come and its the Enduro KA'S. with all of the Cars on the Grid being Models of the Popular Ford KA made Between 1998-2009 thease Cars were Fun City cars that could get you from A to B with Ease. They were Also Build on a tight budget meaning that Handling Performance and Comfort were a Big Selling point of thease Brilliant little cars.
The Racing Versions seen here in the pictures however are built for Racing. they use different tyres but still the same Legendary 1.3 Dura Tec Engine found in their Road Going Counterparts.

About 90 km. from Messina, on the Eastern Mounts Nebrodi, into luxuriant valley crossed by the torrent Roccella, rises Roccella Valdemone. It is probable that the seat was already populated in Norman period: in 1296 it became feud of the Spataforas. Of the ancient and glorious history of Roccella are proofs some ruins of a Medieval castle which was one of the most important fortress in Sicily and has been considered for a long time to be elusive. Walking along the village it gets to the precious Cathedral Church which among furnishings of best workmanship, precious canvases and elegant sculptures, keeps a marble work of 1540 with a delicate taste made by Giacomo Gagini (1517-1598). Splendid is also the Church of Santa Maria dell’Udienza (Our Lady of Udience), with a simple architecture, characterized by a beautiful and decorated portal, by ornaments on the front, by the original insides rich of friezes. The temple also shows a beautiful sculpture made by Giacomo Gagini (1517-1598) representing an intense, in the outlines, Our Lady with Christ Child.. The church came entire restored in the 1525 as it is deduced from two written in Latin language still today visible on sides of the greater altar. On the left side of the altar can be admired the marmoreo picture representing the Nativity ; of Jesus, commissioned in the 1526 to the Antonello Gagini from the baron Giovanni Michele Spadafora, but nearly totally executed from the son Giacomo.
Roccella Valdemone è un comune italiano di 714 abitanti della provincia di Messina in Sicilia.Anticamente battezzata Auricella e Rocchella (dal latino medievale Roccella, piccola rocca) quindi Roccella-Randazzo e infine Roccella Valdemone.Il nome "Valdemone" ha origine da una delle tre circoscrizioni amministrative in cui gli Arabi suddivisero la Sicilia, ossia il Vallo di Demena, che a sua volta discende dal latino Valium (vallo).Il ritrovamento in territori vicini a Roccella, di monete greco-romane fa supporre la presenza di antichi insediamenti umani.Sorta in età normanna, un castello consolidò nel Medioevo la sua posizione di centro strategico difficilmente espugnabile. Il territorio è suddiviso in quattro contrade risalenti al sistema feudale, offerte ai Baroni come ricompensa. Infatti Roccella fu affidata nel 1296 da Federico II d'Aragona a Damiano Spadafora col titolo di baronia, divenendo in seguito marchesato. Lo stemma Spadafora, composto da un braccio armato che tiene una spada, tutt'oggi è raffigurato nel gonfalone comunale.Le contrade, in cui tutt'oggi è suddiviso il territorio sono: a nord Cassanita, Masinaro, Nocerazzo, Perino, Pillera e Revocato; a sud Bonvassallo (in cui a differenza delle altre esiste ancora la borgata), Germanà, Pecoraro, S. Giovanni; a est Daniele; a ovest Pietrorizzo, Lanzarite.Gli Spadafora (anticamente Spatafora) ne mantennero il possesso (con la denominazione alterna dei Lauria) fino al 1812 quando, mentre il paese era sotto la giurisdizione del marchese Domenico Spadafora Colonna ultimo feudatario della famiglia, il parlamento del Regno delle due Sicile abolì il feudalesimo.
