...and no it's not real. It's a consequence of the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale's Academy open day. I was demo-ing collage techniques.
A #photowizard #laminar #imageblender collab.
I sail on this ship tomorrow eve on its voyage up the FL coast to St. Augustine. That, my friends WILL be real!
This image began as a TinyPlanet image that Steph LP had created. We challenged members of the APPart community to explore the image further using whatever apps they wanted. This was my solution which I like very much. Apps used: ArtStudio, iColorama, ImageBlender, Leonardo, and Stackables.

With apologies to Robert Oppenheimer, who quoted the Bhagavad Gita: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" when he saw the first test of a nuclear bomb.

Happy Sliders Sunday!
I took an early morning sunshine shot from last week, and I wanted to give it a whole different feel. Not sure it works - maybe more of a distance impressionistic shot? what do you think?
I made a texture layer of snow using Glaze. The original photo is in the first comment field. The sliding involved Photoshop and additional iPaddery ;o)

I captured this image on my trail walk the other day. It was early in the morning, and the lighting was very soft. Later, on my iPad Pro, i began creating many layers of color and texture using a variety of apps.
First, I tuned the image in SNAPSEED, increasing structure and details with ambiance. Not satisfied, I played with DISTRESSEDFX, and added both color and more texture. I went back to SNAPSEED, and moderated some of the details using anti-ambiance. ICOLORAMA presented me with the opportunity to turn this into a painting, so I used STYLE with both painting and watercolor, to create a painterly effect. I bounced back to DISTRESSEDFX, and added a small bird, and, once again, added more color. I blended the various results with IMAGEBLENDER, until I was satisfied with the result.
There were a lot of subtle color and texture changes during this process. Finally, I was satisfied with a rainbow of hues that captured this moment in time.

I may have mentioned that I've been rereading old photo magazines since I haven't been able to get current ones.
I'm rereading the October 2017 issue of Shutterbug and came across a two page piece in which Harold Davis is interviewed regarding his iPhone photography and editing.
At that time in 2017 I wasn't yet aware of Harold Davis. Thanks to being informed of him by Elisa Lidell, I now have a couple of his photo editing books.
Anyway, It was interesting to see this article in which he mentioned a couple iPhone photo editing apps.
There I was at midnight downloading apps and trying them out.
You've no doubt realized by now that I read in bed to get sleepy enough to fall asleep...
First I used the phone to screen grab my 'pastel clouds over the volcanos at sunset 12May20.' I had uploaded it to Flickr yesterday.
Then I brought it into one of the apps he recommended, appropriately named Waterlogue which has presets that render an image into a watercolor. I did that several times with varying presets.
He had also mentioned an app named 'ImageBlender' and I was again pleased that in the three years since that article, it too was still available at the app store.
I blended the original screen grab of 'pastel clouds... 12May20' with one of the renderings from Waterlogue. Actually I did that a couple times with different renderings.
Then I brought those results into Photoshop as layers and masked so that the parts I liked of each show.
And this is that result.
