The Alexandria Quartet by Lawrence Durrell. Four volumes. "Justine" (1957); "Balthazar" (1958); "Mount Olive" (1958); "Clea" (1960).
The quartet has many editions and printings with different illustrators. I love John Alcorn's work. This is a 1960 1st edition. EP Dutton & Co, NY.

With this, I was trying to get as close to photo-realistic as I could using just Adobe Illustrator. This was my first time using gradient mesh for certain pieces (headstock, neck, body). And hot dang, a Fender Jazzmaster is awesome either way.
