The Alexandria Quartet by Lawrence Durrell. Four volumes. "Justine" (1957); "Balthazar" (1958); "Mount Olive" (1958); "Clea" (1960).
The quartet has many editions and printings with different illustrators. I love John Alcorn's work. This is a 1959 edition, 2nd printing. EP Dutton & Co, NY.
Drawn in Illustrator. It's a bit more difficult to draw in one color and delete the shirt color from the face shape. Makes me really have to think about my design.
Rachelle Meyer is an American illustrator living in Amsterdam, specializing in children's books and storytelling. In 2017, she started sketching fellow commuters on the NDSM ferry in a tiny sketchbook. It's a short but sweet trip of about 12 minutes, connecting her home in Amsterdam Noord with her studio in the center of town. The first thing that came to mind when I saw the word "Paint" was my kids artwork. Maybe it is because I have sooo much of it.

Die Idee ist leider nicht von mir. Habs irgendwo schonmal hier auf Flickr gesehen, war zwar mit der PS Toolbox, das Prinzip war aber das gleiche. Meins ist auch nicht ganz so gut gelungen. Werds natürlich verlinken wenn ichs nochmal finde.
