This was supposed to be an entry for the Voltron contest on Lego Ideas, but unfortunately I missed the deadline for submission. The scene depicts an underwater temple on an alien planet where I imagine King Alfor hid the Blue Lion for 10,000 years. It is located under a waterfall flowing down from a lion-shaped mountain and guarded by all manner of giant sea creatures such as a shark, a kraken, a turtle, jellyfish, a sharktopus, and a blue sealion. Over the years, the temple has gotten overgrown with corals, algae, and other underwater plants.
Sketching ideas.. what do you think partner? Possibility? Gnomes, toadstools, and quilts on parade ;)
any ideas on what to possibly add to it? Bee? Flowers? Acorns? Hubby suggested a moth, but that's because he wanted the gnomes to be terrorized by mothra. LOL
BTW - sketches are really rough ;) It'd be much better when finished :D
So I had a half day at work today. Things are pretty slow since we don't have any Reverse Transcriptase so I can't run my PCR. So basically spending the afternoon editing portraits and watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I ordered an external flash two days ago so soon I'll finally be able to start experimenting with unnatural lighting haha.
Training Update: I ran 5.5 miles yesterday evening in an hour. It's my longest run yet! It's funny, I'm only .7 miles away from 10K distance. If I stop being lazy I plan to run 3 miles today.
[update:only actually lasted doing 2...freaking 92 degrees outside!]
LLLLLL <3
OHHAHHHHAOOOOOOOH<<------basically my reaction to the fact that this got explored! Haha I'm super excited---this is my FIRST image to ever make it :D
I'm sure most of you have seen this already, as many of your lovely creations will be in it!
For those of you who haven't, as the title informs, there are literally a thousand 'sweet' photos from all over the globe in the book. It looks like it' s going to be a must-have inspirational tool for bakers and sugar-artists everywhere!
Back in October 2009, Gina M. Brown sent me an email asking if I would like some of my cookie photos to be a part of it.
Yes! :-)
I was thrilled to be asked and am so excited to see the finished book, which will be ready in November, and is available for pre-order on Amazon here.

Thought is a very broad concept that touches on various areas of human knowledge, from philosophy to psychology. In a basic sense, a thought represents:
The content of thought: It is what we imagine, what we think about, what we think.
The result of thought: It is the conclusion when, after a certain thought process, we arrive at a certain knowledge or idea.
Mental act: The process of thought itself that leads to the emergence of a thought.

This minifigure was given out to those who submitted a project to the LEGO Ideas website and achieved the 10,000 supporters necessary for the project to be considered for production as a real LEGO set.
I was thinking of doing a Maryland state police loadout to change it up a bit. Thoughts on this?
