I had no idea what I was going to do today for a photo, and then a bulb lit up. Literally. Tesco had some awesome filament bulbs, so we bought a couple. This is not what I envisioned, mainly because I wanted it to be my hand because I knew how I wanted it to look, but I could not figure out how to trigger the shutter because my IR remote is not working. I think I was just too tired to get it perfect.

Sometimes it just doesn't go. It has been a while since I post a picture. I needed a pause. Well, I still need it, time is busy, work is too much, head is without idea. Really looking forward to stillness, when images in head comes together again. It is a lot of fun to port pictures, but only if the world cooperates...

Thank you for your much appreciated visit, faves and kind comment!
Happy 😊 on Saturday!
Today I took a stroll through sun-drenched Roma Street Parkland and I came across this rather novel idea, in the form of a man made 'ball' hanging from a ceiling hook. I am going to have a go at doing something similar.
the plant, which contains a mixture of compost and worm 'poo' is enveloped in sphagnum moss then bound with string.

To be very frankly. Until now, I still have no idea what is that bright colour reflection in the water drop?
May be it is the shed in my backyard. This is the water drops macro done in my backyard in 2013.
Would you take a closer look and make a wild guess too? :o)
Have a great evening!
Have you examined and studied your inner micro-universe?
If photography is art of seeing, then philosophy is art of thinking. Philosophy guides us in asking the right questions and reviewing the basic assumptions and working mechanism in our mind.
For example, you may tease the idiot followers of technology that line up in front of the Apple stores. However do you believe that Photoshop and RAW files are going to help you improve your photography? Is this coming from the similar kind of ideology? Do you think you have a critical mind independent of all the mass media and internet brain-wash?
Are you able to doubt or challenge the words of God and/or those from the leaders in the political, religious, academic or scientific fields? The philosophers can give you a hand on this.
This is the galaxy of micro-universe I saw in my backyard.
Have a great philosophical Wednesday!

Gwrych Castle is not a true castle but was built between 1812 and 1822 by Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh as a memorial to his mother’s ancestors. Eventually, the place fell in to ruin until an 11 year old boy saw it one day and thought it should be saved. So he founded Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust at the age of 12 and slowly it is being restored.

Cubist Idea - Every now and then my business travels allow for some downtime.
I was fortunate to find this very interesting staircase at The House of the Black Madonna, Prague, which is a Cubist building example and houses the cubist museum.
I am a sucker for these kinds of shots if I get a chance. Hope you like it.
No idea where this is except foe a guess of somewhere on the Windsor-Montreal corridor. CN 6774 with a couple EMD F's and another MLW cab work a passenger job. No photographer to credit. Chuck Schwesinger collection. September 1972. Great info from Lorence Toutant!
Hi Chuck, this is Iroquois station at milepost 100.2 Kingston subdivision with a WB passenger. You can spot the letters OIS near the top of the station next to the train order mast. These kind of station are easy to spot and were built after the mainline relocalisation project in order to give space for the St Lawrence seaway project who moved the right of way a few miles north of the original location of the GTR construction who was now sitting under water.
Cornwall, Ingleside, Morrisburg and Iroquois were all built new in the late 50s on the new mainline alignment. Only Morrisburg survive so far...
