Le Grand Planeur (Idea leuconoe) est une espèce de papillons de la famille des Nymphalidae, de la sous-famille des Danainae et du genre Idea.
Idea leuconoe se nomme Grand planeur en français et Papper kite ou Mangrove Tree Nymph en anglais
Idea leuconoe est un grand papillon d'une envergure de 95 mm à 110 mm4. Idea leuconoe est blanc veiné et orné de noir dont les marques marginales et submarginales sont confluentes et forment deux bandes irrégulières.
La chrysalide est de couleur jaune.

This is from April at Nisqually NWR. It's not a composite of two pictures (otherwise, it would be waaay better), it's just a weird thing that I was lucky to see happen.
It's hard to tell in this shot, but the bald eagle is chasing the peregrine falcon. It does give you a pretty good idea how much bigger eagles are than peregrine falcons.
I used a patterned picture on my tablet as background for this shot. The only problem I had was that my tablet was a little small.

Op 7 juli 2022 werd naar de linkerkant van de Rijn gereden om te kijken wat aldaar zou passeren. Het beloofde een bewolkte dag te worden met af en toe regen, wat het ideaal zou maken van beide kanten te fotograferen. De donkere lucht leverde ook nog leuke foto's op. Onder andere van dit ICE stel wat onderweg was uit Dortmund naar Wien.

I had no idea what I was going to do today for a photo, and then a bulb lit up. Literally. Tesco had some awesome filament bulbs, so we bought a couple. This is not what I envisioned, mainly because I wanted it to be my hand because I knew how I wanted it to look, but I could not figure out how to trigger the shutter because my IR remote is not working. I think I was just too tired to get it perfect.
