Happy Wall Wednesday! Walsall arboretum did provide one interesting wall to photograph. And it's got some leaves on so you know it's autumn. Couldn't ask for more.

Rapid last minute photo shoot. Working on site with a client who needed an image for their presentation. I quickly grabbed one of my coworkers, ran over to Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco and staged a quick photoshoot.
I had no lighting gear or diffusers with me, so we made the best of a rapid need, my Nikon D7000 and a 50mm f1.8.
This image went with some text about videoing on the iPhone 4 and it's new volume button press for video feature.
I strike this one under, "getting it done".

iPhone 4Sの驚異的な動作速度に戦慄しつつも、現役続投を決めた我が愛用のiPhone 3GS。
そんな訳で最新のiOS5にアップデートしてみました。
低スペック機なので動作速度を心配していましたが、全然問題なく快適にサクサク動きます。
iOS4の頃と比較して差を全く感じません。これはかなり良いカンジ。
私のは16GBと容量が少なく、音楽ファイルを殆ど入れていないので、
最近はあまり音楽聴かなくなってしまいました・・・iPhoneは音質も悪いですしね。
iPhone 3GSの32GB中古が2万円弱と安価で取引されている昨今なので、
（iPhone 4なら+1万円くらい。2011年10月15日現在のヤフオク相場）
中古端末で安価にiOS5ライフを愉しむのもアリかもしれませんね。

Of course in the past comics, I had characters have a crazy idea of putting iPad Minis in their car to replace car stereos , believe it or not if you go online....some car stereophiles and geeks are indeed using iPads (both the original and mini), Android tablets and even the Microsoft Surface as the stereo and GPS system. Oh yes my character keeps the iPhone 4s with iOS5 as kind of a "co-pilot using Google maps if Apple Maps fail".

I geeked out for a bit tonight and watched the keynote from the Apple event yesterday. I'm a MobileMe user so free iCloud sounds good. Also looking forward to iOS 5 and Lion. Lots to be excited about in the Mac world!

I love the new iOS Notifications system. It's hands down better than previous iOS versions.
However...
It drives me crazy that the character truncation limits when you first get a text message on the lock screen are not enough to except a full tweet. And it's even crazier that the secondary smaller lock screen notification does not truncate the same length messages.

Another great moment in Apple error message history. Absolutely nothing in the linked article helped, not even separately trying each of the contradictory instructions...
At least it didn't just say "Bummers" this time.
Background on the iPad issue: I used to manage the iPad under Win7, since that's what I had when I won the iPad. It happily backs up, syncs etc but all attempts to update iOS under Windows 7 have failed - badly. At this point I'm sacrificing the data on it and transferring it to the MacBook Air, to see if that works.
If i scroll past the share-buttons near the top of the page and zoom in, my iPhone Safari (iOS5) re-renders the page with this kind of fuzzyness.

We are sitting on a couch, upgrading our iPhone 4 to iOS5 in a relaxed environment.
Though Daniel and Juan upgraded their iOS to 5 easily, but I had trouble upgrading, due to Apple's stupid MobileMe-to-iCloud migration warning!
Both MobileMe and iCloud are totally incompatible with VoiceOver, any blind people can't proceed to complete migration without sighted help!
