Another year has passed since the last day that Steve left us …

I remembered just a day after the first Apple Keynote of Tim Cook in quality of a CEO, after that Siri was presented and the amazing iPhone 4S with better performances and camera, and also the release date of iOS5 with the quit of Google from the iPhone Operating System, and I remembered the empty seat in the up right corner of that Apple Keynote ..

I'm glad that the 'brain' of Apple given to us all the amazing product created, since the first Apple I, for the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

Needless to say that I miss him and I will miss him so much, but with this photo I would just to remember a Genius, a visionary that already knew what we wanted.

And I'd like to paste the full original text of 'The Crazy Ones' campaign:

"Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." (S.J.)

Só digo uma coisa depois do iphone só o iphone se Deus quiser!!!!!! hehhee

Bjosss.

Shot this with my new iPhone 4s. Its not a specatular shot, its just a "test" ..

Not much processing here, just did a few color adjustments and added the creamy look (photoshop), sharpness is out of cam and also the blur.

The new 4s 8mpx camera is that good (i didnt expect this) i guess adding a 5th lens and increasing the sensor size (cmos) was the best decision apple ever made!

I also used it as mobile hotspot to upload this ;-)

Regards

Rainy Blur v2. I had a completely different concept for v2. My goal was to provide a asthetically pleasing AND powerful end user options while using as little tweaks as possible, to keep the phone stable and fast. And I think that I have accomplished just that. This new Rainy Blur does have a couple notible differences from the original Rainy Blur . Instead of going through everything, I've decided to consolidate v2 with just the new updates.

iMatte v5 HD

I caved and decided to try winterboard, with the very first theme I found. And I only think I have found one of the best looking themes available for Winterboard. I think the theme has a nice contrast between minimalistic looks, and smoked glass, like some good Linux themes you can get. Add to that the square icons, and you have yourself a theme that looks good, while retaining the stock functionality that some themes kill. The theme is very stable, and I have noticed almost no decreased responsiveness while using the theme. I have enabled reflectionless and transparent dock to get rid of the dock. Unfortunately, getting rid of the icon shadows in iOS5 is a bigger chore than necessary, but would DEFINITELY help complete the aesthetic look of the theme in my opinion.

Lock Screen

For the Lock screen, I have used the awesome took, LockInfo. I loved LockInfo so much that I actually decided to buy it, which is a milestone for me because it was the first piece of software I have actually bought instead of pirated. The most noticeable difference in v2 is the Flashlight Widget, called WeeFlashlight which can be found on the BigBoss repo for free. Just basically makes a 2 cycle button activating the rear LED flash, making the phone into a very effective and quick lighting solution. Besides that I have also added the Lockinfo plugin Appigo Todo, which integrates with the App Stores "Todo" app. Combining these 2 gives me a list on my Lockscreen of what need to do, which is very helpful.

MultiFl0w Multitasking

As much as Zephyr was a cool tweak to use, it was very unrealistic on the iPhone just due to it lacking in screen real estate. Instead I found my favorite alternative, which gives Palm OS style multitasking, called MultiFl0w. In the pictures you can see that it is a replica of the Palm OS Multitasking, right down to the killing of apps, which is either a swipe up, swipe down, or the X button. Easily the best visual multitasking app, this ones a keeper.

Notification Center (InfoShade)

Nothing much has really changed in the Notification Center besides the adding of the Flashlight widget. But I wanted to take a screenshot because I wanted to share a tweak which I really thing is not given enough recognition, and that is the Omnistat Widget. Everybody knows about SBSettings, but I have to say that visually, and functionality wise, Omnistat is considerably better. Instead of going through all the details of all of its features, which I already detailed in the original Rainy Blur, I am going to suggest that you go ahead and download the tweak and check out its features.

This is my latest and greatest iPhone setup, that I use currently. Besides the main show up top, here are all the other tweaks and repo's I use on my iPhone:

Repos

•Hackulous (cydia.hackulo.us.com

•Sinful iPhone Repo (sinfuliphonerepo.com)

•xSellize (cydia.xsellize.com)

Other Packages

•Barrel

•BlurriedNCBackground

•Callbar

•Infinifolders

•Installous 5

•LockInfo

•Multifl0w

•NoNewsIsGoodNews

•Omnistat

•Plugication

•SwipeSafari

•Winterboard

I don't want to describe all of the packages listed above, but I do encourage you to check them out to see what they do. Since the point of this project was to retain functionality and speed, all the tweaks listed above are useful in some degree, not just some space wasting plugins.

This is my iPhone 4's setup after I jailbroke it Tuesday Morning (finally).

Let me explain everything thats incorporated into this setup which took me a couple hours to conjur up.

Lock Screen

The Lock screens look as been completely revamped, with LockInfo. I have hidden the "Slide to Unlock" box, and gotten rid of the stock Clock. I have replaced it with LockInfo's Clock/Weather Widget, so I can just turn my phones screen on and take a (beautiful) glance at the time and Weather. Like with iOS 5's Notification Center weather widget, you can slide it right or left to get a weekly forcast. I have also added LockInfo RSS Widget for 3 of my favorite sites, because, well, they complete me <3. Last but not least is the QuickNotes plugin, which is very useful for me. I don't even have to unlock the phone to start typing in any note, you just point to the box, and start typing.

Home Screen

LockInfo has a nifty Homescreen Panel option, which enables LockInfo Widgets to be displayed on their own dedicated page. Nothing is different from the Lockscreen's widgets and the Homescreens widgets, so there's nothing to post here :)

Notification Center

Ah, my favorite part of iOS 5. LockInfo used to have there own proprietary notifications panel, and when iOS 5 came out, they still kept the feature, but they gave the user an option to use the stock Notification Panel, or LockInfo's version. Since I use widgets designed for LockInfo, I decided to use that. Notifications appear the same way they do in the stock notifications center, but with the added expandability of the widgets available. Here, I have used a very nifty Cydia tweak called Omnistat to display important information related to my iPhone. It shows many things, on 4 slideable pages, including Storage space, used and free, iPhone Model, OS version, build version, Wifi Host, IP, Cell IP, MAC IP, True Battery Percentage, and processes. It also has a graphical RAM use page, which shows a very detailed description of the RAM thats being used in catagories such as "Wired" - or system processes, "Active", "Inactive", and "Free". It also has the option to "Tap to free" which clears up a significant portion of the phones RAM with the touch of your finger. Besides that, it has Wifi Enable/Disable, Power button, which can turn the phone off, restart it, respring, and kill all background apps. To achieve the blur look of the panel, I used another Cydia tweak called BlurriedNCBackground. Pretty Self Explanatory there.

Gridlock

I achieved the non static icon locations using GridLock, which, obviously, allows you to place your icons where ever you wish. I also added another tweak called Wifi Icon, which allows you to enable and disable Wifi with a long press of the icon. It can also show you the SSID, and IP address with a short touch. I also have whats called, Brightness Icons, which allows you to change the brightness of the screen by pressing the respective icons, without having to go into settings every time.

Barrel

Barrel is awesome. It adds effects to the page sliding aspect of iOS, so its not just a simple slide. I have mine set to Cube Inside, so it looks like its rotating in a cube when ever I slide to a new page. Barrel has many effects, some of which are very intricate, yet flow beautifully.

Zephyr

Zephyr, is an awesome multitasking tweak, which brings iPad style multitasking to the iPhone. Basically, swiping from the edge of the screen switches to the next app in line. Simple as that. It also has a feature which allows you to bring up the multitask dock with a swipe from the bottom of the screen, up, without having to double press the home button. Both these work in conjunction with each other, so there's no conflict.

That is everything I use to make my iOS experience, oh sooooo sooooooo much better than it was before. Here is a complete list of all the tweaks, apps, and with repo's I used to get my beautiful look.

Barrel (SinfuliPhoneRepo)

BlurriedNCBackground (BigBoss)

Brightness Icons (ModMyi)

Gridlock (iHacksrepo)

Installous (hackulo.us)

LockInfo (iHacksRepo)

LockInfo RSS Plugin (SinfuliPhoneRepo)

Lockinfo Todo Plugin (SinfuliPhoneRepo)

OmniStat for Notification Center (BigBoss)

Quicknote for Notification Center (BigBoss)

WifiIcon (BigBoss)

First, the art.

I made this video because I thought the process was beautiful - it appeared to me as if a blooming flower.

Now... on to the science.

This medication, which is branded as "Bactrim DS," is being dissolved in 20cc of tap water to be administered via gastric tube. The tablet breaks down almost immediately, and is fully dissolved within 60 seconds - the approximate length of this video.

Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim is a double strength tablet with the two antibiotic medications of the same name. It is a synthetic antibacterial combination product available in DS (double strength) tablets, each containing 800 mg sulfamethoxazole and 160 mg trimethoprim; in tablets, each containing 400 mg sulfamethoxazole and 80 mg trimethoprim for oral administration. It is rapidly absorbed following oral administration. The medication is excreted primarily by the kidneys through glomerular filtration and tubular secretion.

Sulfamethoxazole inhibits bacterial synthesis of dihydrofolic acid by competing with para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). Trimethoprim blocks the production of tetrahydrofolic acid from dihydrofolic acid by binding to and reversibly inhibiting the required enzyme, dihydrofolate reductase. Thus, sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim blocks two consecutive steps in the biosynthesis of nucleic acids and proteins essential to many bacteria.

It is effective against:

Aerobic gram-positive microorganisms:

Streptococcus pneumoniae

Aerobic gram-negative microorganisms:

Escherichia coli (including susceptible enterotoxigenic strains implicated in traveler's diarrhea)

Klebsiella species

Enterobacter species

Haemophilus influenzae

Morganella morganii

Proteus mirabilis

Proteus vulgaris

Shigella flexneri

Shigella sonnei

Other Organisms:

Pneumocystis carinii

Samuel Adams® Chocolate Bock

Smooth, rich, and dark, with the robust flavor and creamy texture of chocolate.

To create Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock, we wanted to take the flavor beyond the taste of dark roasted malt. For this year's brew we worked with a blend of cocoa nibs including Ecuador nibs from TCHO®, an artisanal chocolate maker in San Francisco. We started with hand selected Noble hops from Bavaria and combined them with a complex selection of carefully roasted malts. This dark beer has a big, malty character with the added sweetness of chocolate. We slowly age the beer on a bed of rare dark cocoa nibs, the primary ingredient in chocolate. Known for their quality, these cocoa nibs harvested in Ecuador, impart complex aromas and flavors from chocolaty to fruity, nutty, earthy, and citrusy.

*®TCHO is a registered trademark

Beer and chocolate have a much more complicated history than most people realize. In fact, recently it was discovered that the origins of chocolate stem from a brewing process. Mesoamericans, who flourished in Central America before it was colonized by the Spanish, developed chocolate as a by-product of fermenting cacao fruit to make a beer-like drink called chicha still brewed by South American tribal people.

To create the rich and layered flavor of Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock, we started with the Noble Tettnang Tettnanger and Spalt Spalter hops and combined them with a complex selection of malts including two-row Harrington and Metcalfe, Munich 10, and Caramel 60, to create a rich and satisfying brew. The roasted taste from the malt works perfectly with the addition of the chocolate to add a sweet smoothness to the beer.

The flavor of the chocolate is developed by aging the beer on a bed of rare dark cocoa nibs. The cocoa nibs, a primary ingredient in chocolate, impart an aroma and flavor of fine chocolate to the beer. As the beer matures, the flavors are released into the liquid to give the brew a complex, full bodied taste and velvety finish. A hint of vanilla is added, also used in making chocolate, to meld the combination of flavors together. This combination of flavors results in a malty, chocolaty, and wonderfully complex bock beer.

Flavor: Distinct aroma of chocolate, toffee and malt. Tastes slightly sweet, full bodied with a finish of fine chocolate.

I just sent my first tweet with Twitter's new integrated photo sharing feature. I was one of the lucky ones to get early access today to the new feature. :)

The feature seems pretty straightforward. If you click on the message box there is a little camera icon right below it and you just click that to add a photo. You can then attach a photo and send it to your Twitter. So easy, even a Congressman could use it.

The first photo I tried didn't take, because it only supports photos 3MB or smaller. It's not really meant to be a replacement for Flickr or anything in that regard (Flickr allows photos up to 20MB in size -- and some more forward thinking photosharing sites like 500px actually allow photos up to 30MB in size, time to step up your game Flickr) -- but with most phone photos being smaller then 3MB, this shouldn't really be a problem for mobile uploads.

The second photo I tried sending was a smaller one that I'd taken with my phone (pictured above) and it worked just fine.

I was impressed with the speed at which the photo had uploaded to Twitter. In the past I'd had problems with twitpic hanging on me when trying to upload, but the photo to Twitter's own service was fast and flawless.

The photos are hosted at photobucket, but you don't have to have a photobucket account to use the service.

I updated my Android Twitter app on my Samsung (piece of crap) phone to the most current version, but when I clicked on add a photo using that it still sent the photo to twitpic, not to to the new twitter service -- so I don't know if the new service supports the Android app yet -- I don't think it does.

Supposedly the new Twitter photo service is integrated with the new IOS5 on the iPhone though -- which I suppose will be one more reason to ditch my horrible piece of crap Samsung phone and go back to the iPhone when the new ones come out this Summer or Fall -- although I'm sure Twitter probably plans on integrating the photo sharing feature into their Android app too at some point in the future.

I also tried downloading "Snapbucket" to my Android phone (which was the app that the photobucket promo page suggested). I was able to get the app installed (you have to set up a photobucket account) and tried to send a photo to Twitter with it, but it seemed to take a long time. I sent the photo to photobucket (and it's in my account) about ten minutes ago, but I told it to send it to Twitter and it's not posted to twitter yet for me. I'll probably still continue using mobypicture to share mobile phone shots directly until either Twitter updates their Android App or I move over to the iPhone.

One thing that is nice about this new Twitter photo sharing service, is that like all of your text tweets, the photos that you upload to it belong 100% to you. This is in stark contrast to the sleazy move by Twitpic to try to try and actually sell people's Twitpic photos (keeping 100% of the money for themselves and giving the photographers 0%). There's a certain sense of satisfaction that comes with knowing that this new photo sharing service by Twitter is going to end up putting Twitpic and their sleazy photographer rip offs out of commission.

Overall I'd say the new service is a win for Twitter. It simple, easy to use, and most importantly FAST! Nice work Twitter! This new service is just what I need to upload all those awesome new shots of my buffed out totally waxed new body.

More on the new service from TechCrunch here.

Battery life with the early iOS5 beta seems to be suffering. This was changed this morning and hasn't been heavily used.

My first generation iPad (64gb, WiFi) is exhibiting a most peculiar error. It is not jailbroken.

The icons are duplicated and congregate by the upper left corner. The original app icons do not register touches. The duplicate app icons can be dragged to anywhere and do not conform to the grid.

In the South - at least in Alabama - liquor stores are colloquially euphemized as "package" stores. Why that is, I do not know.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no state law prohibiting them from being called or named "liquor" stores. Perhaps that nomenclature is resulting from a guilt ethos associated with Protestantism.

I'm Catholic, BTW - and converted later in life. But even when I was Protestant, I never felt guilt over beverage alcohol. Matter of fact, I found it then, and continue to find is fascinating that the LORD Christ said, "I tell you, I will never again drink the product of the vine until that day when I drink it with you once again in my Father's kingdom." So that tells me there will be wine in Heaven.

It's a long-standing and running joke about Baptists that 1.) They don't acknowledge that each other in the liquor store; 2.) They are tee-totalers (because they're not), and that; 3.) The wine Jesus drank was non-alcoholic. Yeah... that's a huge joke (and an ignorant one, at that), because it was only relatively recently that ETOH (ethanol, also known as beverage alcohol) was able to be removed from beer or wine.

The South - which has a rebellious streak several miles wide (Yes, I know that's a shocker to many. /sarcasm) - is predominately Protestant... and Baptist. (By the way, I was never Baptist.)

There's another joke about Baptists... that like amoebas, they multiply by division. That is to say, they increase by division and split. More specifically, a faction will arise within a particular congregation which will follow one man and his ideology or beliefs, while another faction will adhere to the pastor.

Eventually, there is a disagreement resulting in a dust-up among the "brethren" - typically at a congregational governmental meeting - which leads some congregants to follow the divisive one, who eventually goes off and starts his own church in an abandoned store front somewhere.

Now... do you understand - at least partially - why I'm Catholic? Jesus never endorsed that kind of crap, nor did He ever teach nor condone it. He said, "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it."

So drink up! Enjoy!

It's good to know that we'll enjoy wine in the Kingdom of Heaven the the LORD!

I loved the keynote today. So much exciting stuff coming our way - can't wait for iOS 5 and Lion.

not sure why but iOS5 decided to hard kill a bunch of apps. I think there are still some memory problems they need to hammer out.

So updating to IOS5 wasn't the quickest process, I'm still putting the songs back onto my phone as we speak. But none the less it seems really good so far, can't wait to use the notification centre, but I need some friends for that......

On the upside I have friday off this week so I just have 3 lectures tomorrow and I'm done for the week! I love a 3 day weekend.
