I haven't been too ambitious this weekend with snow photography. I stayed very local and didn't spend too much time outside.
A hyperlapse captured during my visit to Colac for work, captured with Nikon D5300 & 18-55mm kit lense with the MIOPS remote set to capture one image every 20 seconds.
Shot in Utah and New Mexico. Music by Phantogram. Made on iPhone with Hyperlapse, Fused, iMovie, Instagram + still from Nikon.

Time-lapse film I shot throughout Nashville. Im amazed that there are so few films showcasing Nashville. I hope you enjoy it.
A hyperlapse video of a scenic walk around Cedar Swamp in High Point State Park (despite some less desireable Flickr video compression)
First humanlapse (timelapse with humans) since we moved. 40mins to storyboard, 30 mins to photograph, a few hours to edit. With Glyn Wade and also my starring debut!

A Persistence of Time is a short film that explores how our everyday world is always moving forward in time, without us being aware of the persistent and constant change taking place before us.
Flickr cuts off the last almost full minute. But please, click here to view A Persistence of Time in it's HD entirety.
I've been absent from Flickr for a while. This film is why.
o this calm, yet busy Ladakhi uncle decided to photobomb my hyperlapse, making me stop in my tracks. I signalled him to move but couldnt move myself nor the camera so he continued looking around, a little confused and amused, then got bored and left. I think I wished him "Jullay" atleast 10 times, and he kept wishing me back.Too much confusion..It was time to go back and start from scratch.
Last night, I was capturing a hyperlapse of the sunset when I remembered that the full moon would soon rise. I checked TPE for the angle of where it would rise compared to the Moravian Church steeple (something I hadn't tried before), gathered the rest of my gear, and ran to the location TPE suggested.
That spot was too low of elevation and was a thickly wooded area. There were some neighbouring yards but trees still blocked the view of the steeple. I kept walking further up the hill along the angle suggested by TPE. I eventually stumbled upon an open patch of grass. There were two mothers and their respective kids waiting for the moon to rise.
With my drone in the air capturing a hyperlapse and my tripod setup, I waited for the moon to rise. It was late. Then, 5 minutes after it breached the horizon, it emerged from behind the clouds. Magnificent.
I loved hearing the kids in the background yelling out, "I see the ISS!", and then one of the mothers saying, "No, that's just a plane." (For the record, the ISS wouldn't pass over this area until around 0500 on the morning of the 25th.) Having kids interested in space is so bloody awesome. The two kids (boys) were wearing Pokemon and Sonic onesies, and I overheard that they got to have ice cream before coming out to watch the moonrise. What a childhood!!
This image is a composite of two photos both shot at 75mm:
Photo 1 - 1/60, f/6.3, ISO 100
Photo 2 - 15", f/6.3, ISO 400
I edited them slightly in Lightroom before creating the composite in Photoshop. I brought the glow of the moon in the overexposed image down to the size of the moon on the underexposed image. This made it more true-to-life (even though it results in the moon lookin bigger when compared on the two images).
Moon stats at this moment:
Illumination: 99.9%
Magnitude: -12.55
Altitude: 14º
Azimuth: 142.9º
Earth distance: 361,672 km (0.002 AU)
Orbital Period: 27.3 days (0.9 months)
Constellation: Scorpio

Found video hyperlapse footage tells the tale of a group of photographers who traveled to a small mountain town (Mount Laguna) to collect documentary footage about the Laguna Witch, a legendary local murderer. The project takes a frightening turn when the photographers drive down a dark scary road in the Cleveland National Forest and begin hearing horrific noises.
Storm Ali - Timelapse Solent clip
We did get some high winds and rough seas from being on the edge of Storm Ali, but nothing like the battering other areas received. Sadly, it has been reported that two people have lost their lives nationally in the storm.
What this clip does capture is the force and speed of the wind whipping up the waves onto the beach and driving the clouds overhead.
I set the camera up on the beach to take 750 images at 1 second intervals which I then processed in Photoshop at 25 fps to make into a short 30 second video clip.
The tide was coming in and the wind whipped up the waves creating the powerful white horses.
A couple of people, walked out on the stone outfall but quickly came back to the safety of the shore and the windsurfers were having a great time with it all.
Lots of trees and fence panels blown over locally.
