Finally finished my 2015 project life album!! When I picked it up last week, it was done through September. So I whipped through Oct earlier in the week and finished Nov-Dec this afternoon. Can't remember too much of what happened those months and don't seem to have carefully saved artifacts as in the past. So I had to rely on what photos I had in Aperture (altho I figured out later that some of my instagram photos weren't in there! Did I accidentally delete them from my phone before doing a monthly upload? Who knows at this point!) and basically I didn't do much with embellishments or stamping or anything, I just put in photos and GOT IT DONE. :) YAY.
Hyperlapse on the road more or less traveled. Las Conchas, Sonora, Mexico. Playa Encanto. This was taken with my iPhone through the front window of my OLD truck.
A timelapse video of over 300 photos I took last summer (One picture per hour). It shows the growth of my Basil plant over 16 days and nights. I left my window open (almost) all the time to avoid reflections. That got a bit stressful over the time. :D
Made with the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 on my 700D on open apperture.
Don't know why flickr reduces the resolution so much, sorry for that.
A short clip from our Outdoor Product Test, testing a GoPro Hero 5 Black in a low light night timelapse in the alps.

Made another one of these when it started snowing but forgot to post it. And as of this morning my Springfield was hit with the dreaded monorail misalignment bug! So this one doesn't have any of the newly added stuff like the arctic hypertrain or mansion gardens. Merry Chrithmith! 🎅

Downtown Minneapolis & US Bank Stadium on a foggy winter day
I have been thinking about photos I want to capture in Pennsylvania before we move to Alaska. We don't get many thunderstorms in the Lehigh Valley, but this summer we've already had a few. This particular thunderstorm was the second of two cells that produced many lightning strikes.
The first storm passed Nazareth to the north (Poconos region) and only dumped rain for a few minutes (flash flood). Hence, I was able to keep my drone in the air for longer than expected.
The storm in this photo passed us to the south, so I watched it arrive from the west while the sun was setting. Yup, I was capturing a timelapse. As the rain arrived, I grounded the drone until the storm passed and then launched it up to capture these lightning shots using long exposures in Hyperlapse mode.

Here are two cuts from the same footage. The Flylapse was auto generated by the Insta360 app. I manually edited the Hyperlapse.
Cars (mostly) at the port of Nyköping.
Sorry, I have idea how they come out like that...
First minute or so in Hyperlapse speed.
Iceland timelapse teaser 1, Næfurholt
The film is online. If you are curious, you can watch the movie there:
This is my first hyperlapse video that I made from the long exposure shots, captured from inside my car.
Snow Day = Monorail videos. I made a switch track to connect the 2 terminal ends of the line (the ones under construction in each direction) that shortens the track and makes it go straight from SF Heights to the new Around The World update.

This is the third episode of our independent „A Taste of ...“ time lapse series.
In September 2016 we visited this awesome city to try out some new time lapse stuff.
It took us 10 days, a lot of burgers and one helicopter ride to produce this video. 10 days is very little time to discover this city of endless opportunities, so we hardly slept anything and shot day and night for this time lapse film. The city that never sleeps indeed!
The Taxishot:
Over the 10 days we took photos of yellow cabs whenever we had time to from as many different angles as possible. So we gathered 2000 (!) photos in total we had to sort afterwards and compile to a hyperlapse around a cab in post production. It took us 5 whole days in post production to get this one shot.
Technical Details:
In 10 days we shot 65.000 Photos taking up 2,6 TB of our hard drives. The final 3 minute video took 36h to render on the best equipped iMac available.

Become a bird and dance in the sky.
Two years from 2020 to 2021.
I lived in a lodge in the mountains of Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
The Azumi River in the neighborhood is beautiful, and many wild birds visit.
It is hydrangeas and kingfishers.
The nature there was beautiful without adding anything.
Birds, animals and nature always healed the fatigue of desk work.
After his interest in drones and digital cameras, he traveled to capture the beautiful nature of various parts of Japan.
Today, I created a short film based on such two years of records.
I was deeply moved and inspired by the music of Hans Zimmer, which I love.
Extreme Hyperlapse in Nice, France for the new video! No idea if it will work, but if, this will be so so amazing :) xx
