I do not know why it has the arrow on it. But the number is just to number the fire hydrants in my city. Over 600 of them.
As the hydrant looked when it arrived.
If the internet searching hasn't misled us, a Clow hydrant, model 2036, with two (2) 2.5" discharges and a single 4.5" discharge; it was cast in 2001 and removed from service after being bumped during a construction project in the Monterey County area (and the water department required it be taken out of service.)
The hydrant is being cleaned and will be moving into our Fire Stations 4 Hire location in a few days.
So now I have started looking at fire hydrants and noticing where they are made and when. 2009!

In front of my grandpa's place in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada sits a very old style fire hydrant (there all over the place there).
Some time ago I promised I will contribute to the Birdsill Holly Society, a group started by MR.TRONA. I have been looking for my hydrant ever since. Yesterday I found it.
