A fire hydrant in Fargo, ND, July 20, 2008.

I thought it was so neat the way the leaves have started growing up on this fire hydrant. The juxtaposition of red and green wiht the silver edges is so pretty.

Day 112. i couldn't decide which hydrant photo but I guess this one works. April 22 2009.

Strolling down Yonge Street in downtown Toronto one day during a recent working vacation, I came across this handsome old hydrant. I liked the play of colours and lines, and when I isolated the coloured hydrant from the background in Photoshop I liked it even better.

This picture is of the fire hydrant on the street which the children always name as they walk past it.

What happens when a moron clips a fire hydrant. The flooded streets were quite impressive-- further testament that Los Angeles simply isn't built to handle much rain. This hydrant couldn't have been broken for more than 20 minutes, yet streets for more than two blocks were flooded.
