i loved the way this fire hydrant was engulfed by the surrounding plantlife. This was taken at Alcatraz in San Francisco.
This is the hydrant across the street from my house. I like the colors. the city keeps it freshly painted. If you look closely, you can see the date--1963.
In my housing estate, to enable fire trucks to find the nearest hydrant to the burning house a reflective blue marker is fixed in the middle of our streets, a triangle showing direction and a mark on the gutter leads to the hydrant on the footpath.
Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex Ia, Fujicolor Pro 400H, 75mm f/3.5 at f/8, 1/300s. I think the colors are a little weird and faded because I forgot I had film in this camera for about two months, and it was lying in the hot car day after day.
Saw this yesterday. I put a black box over the brand name so I wouldn't feel as if I was promoting this. I can see several possible reasons for the hat:

2. Someone lost the hat, someone else found it and wanted it to be found again.
3. Someone at a big pharmaceutical is trying sneaky advertising gimmicks
4.???
