This was SUCH a lucky sighting on the final morning before leaving to go home. Wolves are probably the most illusive creatures in the park, and they are really difficult to spot. We had seen all the animals in the park already, except for wolves, and we got lucky enough to see them right before we left!
Sorry for the poor quality photo! I had to crop this photo like crazy, because these wolves were SO far away. The pack was split up into two I believe, and some wolves were on the hill behind us. They were calling to each other and they probably wanted the big group of humans watching them from the road to scram, so that they could reunite.
It was funny to hear the slight delay in their howls between the time of them throwing their heads in the air and the sound reaching our ears.
