Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as "Upper Antelope Canyon" or "The Crack"; and "Antelope Canyon" or "The Corkscrew".[2]
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means "the place where water runs through rocks." Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazí (advertised as "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or "spiral rock arches." Both are located within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation

Gorgeous light, an amazing beach, a Lee Big Stopper... This one had to be taken!!! I hope you like this rather unique take on Bandon Beach!
Old school cut & paste (paper, scissors & glue) collage.
The background is by Claes Oldenburg (1929 -) entitled:
"Study for a Sculpture in the Form of a Vacuum Cleaner from Side"
Wolf & torn paper moon & landscape from a children's book.
I named this. If you can't see it, sorry, but it's what it looks like to me.

The Lone Wolf is the nickname of the fictional character Michael Lanyard, a jewel thief turned private detective in a series of novels written by Louis Joseph Vance (1879-1933). Many films based on and inspired by the books have been made, and the character appeared briefly on radio and television.
The first book in the series, titled “The Lone Wolf,” was first published in 1914. Hardened by the gangs of New York, Michael Lanyard travels to war-jittery Paris to solve the most important mystery of his perilous life.

The 28 of the WAB, seen in Hameln back in 2003.
The WAB (which is now known as EBC Eisenbahnbetriebs- und Consulting GmbH) took this locomotive out of service a long time ago. I couldn't find any information about its whereabouts or its history. It has been probably scrapped or sold to a east european country.

Blues Aficionados will recognise one of the top new Blues exponents. originally from the deep South, (of England that is) his influences are wide but feature heavily on Howling Wolf. Seen here on a short tour of England in Bury Metro.
This is my amended version (original is in the comments below.) As usual, I saw the fatal flaw in that image AFTER I posted it.... the wolf is looking - or howling, as the case may be - out of the frame, a compositional no-no. I could have pretended that I intended to use negative space in this way, but it really bugged me, so I fixed it by using the square crop seen here (which occurred to me late last night, and which was also suggested by contact KVonK) and I like this much better. Let this be a lesson in the dangers of premature epostulation!! :p

Third time's the charm? And when does stick-to-it-iveness become perseveration? ;) I wasn't completely happy with either of my two previous attempts at this image (seen in the comments below) and while this is closer to what I originally envisioned (with deliberate use of dark/light and negative space, and the wolf howling up and into the frame) I probably won't be happy with this one, either, after I've looked at it for a while... that old Paroxysm of Perfectionism thing... but I promise not to post any more versions, lol.... Time to move on!! Thanks for all your comments and input!
Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled description.... Is this cliche enough? A friend (you know who you are!) issued a challenge to me that we also make the rest of this year's themes fit with a sub-theme of Joe Satriani lyrics/song titles, so here is 'Big Bad Moon' (please forgive that virtuosic guitarist for trying to sing, lol.... It's not something he usually tries to do!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVnfarYmjDw
All elements (supermoon, cloudy sky, rocky beach) in this image are original, except for the wolf, which is clip art :( I tried and tried to get Duffy to howl at the moon for me, but he's just tooooo mellow for such things.... ;) However, he did agree to do a little passive modeling for me, so I could give the poor clip art wolf some feet in this version :)

130 101 and 199 004 in the DB museum in Halle.
The 130 101 was built in 1973 and was the first of its type with a electric heating for passenger cars.
The 199 004, was built in 1933 and used to be a standart gauge switcher of the Kö II type (classified as 100 287). In 1983 its gauge was changed to 1000mm and it served on the industrial railroad of Halle until 1991.
Only 5 Kö II's were converted to 1000mm gauge. 2 for the industrial railroad of Halle and one for the HSB in 1983/1984. And two more for the HSB in 1991.
All 5 still exist.
