There was an old Chevy Malibu for sale, parked at Anderson Lumber. The gear shift and speedometer reminded me of my first car: a 1981 Buick Regal Ltd. It was nearly as large as this Malibu, and easily twice as hideous. It looked a bit like this.
How close can you get? (22)

Just how close can you be... to a complete stranger take a portrait and not be noticed? The correct answer is with a 20mm lens nearly touching the subject. I still enjoy both 28 & 35mm for my street photography, but now and again I live life on the edge with a 20mm. The wearing of headphones, also probably helped me with this particular piece… of ninja style stealth photography. 😉
Tarn Hows, or The Tarns, is one of the most visited spots in Lakeland, and in high season can be literally packed with people. It is a beauty spot that must not be missed, yet is not entirely typical of the local landscape, for the tarn is partly artificial, being three tarns joined together in the 19th Century, and most of the trees surrounding it are conifers.
The attraction is its sheer beauty, surrounded by thick woodland, and views towards Wetherlam, the Helvellyn range and the Langdale Pikes.
Should a former history teacher alter history and create an inaccurate historical event?
Disclaimer: It's FAKE NEWS and photo manipulation. people! ;-)
The photo of the Liberty Bell was taken in Philadelphia and the British soldiers (Red Coats) were re-enactors at Fort Mackinac.

Thanks to Todd and Miriam for showing my Dad and I the location of the Pickaway County Sandhill Cranes tonight. It was the second time for me to see them in the wild and first time in Ohio.
That also resulted in me getting my first ever Ring-necked Pheasant photos in the wild. It was very exciting and cool!
One has to ask just how or why a bear could be on a shear rock wall 100 feet Off the water with another few thousand feet above him.
The why is easy mountain goats, this wall along the water line is a common place to view mountain goats in turn this is his hunting grounds. More than likely the bear is sitting on a recent kill.
As for the how he got here is well we may never know but quite a challenge.
I can't help it, sometimes it's almost aural, you can almost hear the light and how it breaks through the glass and gently rubs on the skin and clothing, making a gentle shhhh sound on the edge of silence...

It was so warm on Sunday...
How warm was it?
It was so warm on Sunday, I washed both cars in the morning & went to the beach in the afternoon!
(observing the appropriate distancing precautions of course)
Now that's warm, for November...a record breaker!
Mid to upper 60's & all sun with light winds.
Thanks to my wife Sue for this brilliant photo & an awesome day!
A mosaic I made based on the movie poster for How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. It was displayed at BricksCascade 2019 and BrickFair VA 2019. Despite working on it at the start of the year, I never uploaded a photo of it, so decided to take one last picture before it gets dismantled.

Since there is plenty of confusion about the triple head semaphores I figure I should clarify. The signal panel inside the station masters office shows the full track arrangement of the station. Each lower quadrant semaphore head is for one of the three station tracks which are manually controlled by the station master.
