Finding the large reflection pool of water along the creek there near the natural bridge was really cool. Figuring out how to hike and access it was the challenge, but worth the scrambling, climbing, and effort.

Fine Autumn colours and a rainbow making an apperence too at this popular Lake District location.

Fynn is the kind of cat who prefers to start the day slowly, VERY slowly. You could drop a bag of his favourite treats next to him and he wouldn't move a whisker. The photo in the comments was taken about 10 minutes later when he couldn't sleep any longer because his buddy Linus made such a fuss about THE BIRDS.

May I draw your attention to the trees in the container (although there were many outside waiting for homes). You might see the salesman getting to know his product.

As seen on a walk.

Sander's Phalaenopsis has a arching-erect, to 80 cm long, racemose or few branched paniculate inflorescence with minute, triangular, concave, scarious floral bracts carrying 15 to 20, showy, membraneous flowers occuring in the mid spring to late summer. The flowers are pale pink, about 7.5 cm in diameter. Sepals are oval, lateral more elongated. Petals are rhomboid. The lip is triple, white, with purple or cinnamon strips, about 3 cm in length, its lateral parts are bent upward, and the anterior part is triangular in shape with tendrils on the tips.

В 1882 году данный вид орхидей был описан Генрихом Райхенбахом, а год спустя в свет вышла его статья в которой писалось, что Фаленопсис Сандера самая красивая орхидея из того, что он видел.

Positioned around a mile and a half from where we were staying, Tarn Hows is a picturesque Tarn which is visited by over half a million visitors who walk around it.

Our visit this time was an eye opener. As we approached, Marc became terrified. Only a couple of years ago, I pushed Marc around this tarn in his wheelchair and we enjoyed the nature of the landscape. It was quite a push in his manual wheelchair - though it is advertised as accessible, in truth, motorised scooters or wheelchair are needed.

As we approached and reached this point, there is a sharp downhill stretch of road bending around a hidden curve. Marc's grip on the seat at the side of me tightened and his knuckles turned white. "stop, stop, stop" he screamed!

I pulled over, but he did not relax. I managed a quick photo out of the car window, but headed back the way we came, with the terror left behind.

What triggered this reaction to somewhere we had been previously remains unknown. I know his condition is worsening and maybe it was the journey making him travel sick, maybe his poor eyesight is affecting him in a greater way, maybe he was having a seizure, and absence, right at that moment which sent him into a panic, maybe ...

sometimes we never find out the cause of a reaction like this, but we have a photograph, and as we look back at it now, he can laugh at his memory of my stopping the car and turning around.

From here, we went back to the village, and had some Grasmere Gingerbread. After a calmer wheel-walk around the village. Calm returned.

Have a lovely day everyone :-))

It is so adorable how the chicks ride on the parents back.

There is so much wonder in just inspecting the natural world I'm not sure how anyone can be bored. I will probably play with more layouts, as this was just thrown together this morning since we have a busy day.

When I think of vanishing point there is only one place in Tulsa my mind would go, the old pedestrian bridge. I am so glad I took some time to get this shot how far to the vanishing point? 1,470 feet walkway the inside dimensions was something like 15 foot square. Constructed in 1905 and torn down in 2021, goes across the Arkansas River. The replacement bridge humps up going over the river and curves to the left so never get a shot like this.

Take a look on black!

How it feels to be me! Split!

How would you feel being the only people who have the privilege of contemplating the reflections of a pleasant sunset on the calm waters of a reservoir?

I imagine you would enjoy it as much as my wife and I did. The silence was very pleasant, relaxing and we felt unique in that moment.

They are the reflections of the trees on the banks of the Navacerrada Reservoir at dusk.

Really hate how soft this shot is! Probably because I was overly excited when I saw this scene and didn't check the focus before I pressed the shutter.

Hope you had a great Easter break.

It always annoys me how when I have to go to work my body wants to sleep in for ages, but when I have a weekend I am wide awake at the crack of dawn, what is up with that? It happens to me all the time, I could have slept for hours this morning.... but over the weekend when I had the time to sleep freely my mind would not shut down and I was wide awake most of the night. Does this happen to you ? I must be getting old ( hush now all of you lol I know I am) but I used to sleep anytime and for so long it was disgusting lol now well, now I like sunrise shots cause I may as well get something from these early mornings lol So my goal this week is to go softly softly and have a good work, me, sleep and play ratio and not get into the work work work ratio.

Thank you for the comments on my normal questions, some really good points people made.. it is good to see we are all normal in our abnormality ;)

So have a good week and softly softly, today, tomorrow and yesterday : )Car

Dear March,come in!

How glad I am!

I looked for you before.

Put down your hat -

You must have walked -

How out of breath you are!

Fun with insects. :) I took this a few weeks ago after a bunch of mantises had just hatched. This guy was tiny.

How wonderful are those rare moments when you realize, that you have found a friend...

How I miss the open spaces. Maybe people will never take for granted what we have around us anymore. I hope this brings a little light to people.

How privileged I felt to be welcomed back to my favourite beach. She knew... oh she knew alright how much I loved seeing her again.. I do believe she loved seeing me too and this was her welcome to me and yes I am only a visitor but I love her so much and I miss her......

My grandad was a fireman on the trains and him and grandma spent much of their time in St Ives, maybe that how come I feel a spiritual relationship with this place...you never know ;)

I counted and counted and all I got is lots and lots.

Inca explores her new exhibit on opening day.

This country pond has decoys floating, not sure if someone hunts this or just for the atmosphere of wildlife, or to draw in more wildlife. My thoughts on remote is to sit at the waters edge and watch the water, ripples can be pleasing.

Awful. Just. Awful.
