There's a bit of a large patch of some forgotten part of the garden where lots of Foxtail Barley grows and it's all become golden and yellow and so I ventured into the patch this morning with my camera. Got half-bitten to death by mosquitoes in the process; suffering for my art! :-))

This was taken about a week ago when we had a heavy snowfall come down all day. It still amazes me how some remnants on trees can hang on in extreme weather. It only took a couple of days for the snow to accumulate to an unmanageable level for some people. Then it took just a few days after that for the rain to wash it all away until we now have remnants of snow on our lawn.
