Each volume of the History of the Vampyrleich Empire is memorized by the House of the Moon, and it is the closest our kind has to a sort of holy text. A remembrance of whence we came, who left these buildings we call home, this land our own.
Thousands upon thousands of years of history meant nothing to the first and last immortal ruler of Vampyrleich. There would only be one history. Hers. What could I possibly have done? And so... I did. I burned my life's work. The work of all my peers and every scribe before me.
I'm writing to you in secret from the Crescent in the academy. It's so quiet here. How few of us remain to write a history that doesn't exist! I'm risking my life by telling you or anyone this. But I know something the Protectorate will find valuable. There's a loophole.
If you swap the core of their design with Noble Azurite, and bind the entire vampire race in blood contract to it, then ... yes. Really. I know. It sounds insane. It IS insane! But she did. She will take every damned one of us to the grave if she dies. You'd have to blast her with liquid silver rounds for days. But she would. And every vampire on Evaria would die with her.
I've attached proof of this. Dates. Blueprints. Names of the sorcerers who'd gone missing shortly before her inauguration and declaration of immortality and - what little remains - of their work adapting Saeo's design. They're dead now, obviously. Thrown in the emerald pits or some other such "accident." Poor souls.
I'd feel pity if not for what they did.

One of the features of the Sk8 Park in Grimsby, Ontario is a group of small billboard-style panels specifically intended to host the artistic expressions of those visiting the site. As a result, graffiti is encouraged in places that are acceptable. Furthermore, periodic cleanup of the panels by town staff ensures regular refreshment of the subject matter. This image was taken in mid-February, the dead of Winter, so the snow-covered park was not in regular use and had not been for several months. The last round of painting had been ignored, likely waiting for Spring to get a refresh, with the consequence being the multiple layers of paint had weathered and flaked off leaving colourful abstracts when viewed up close. PP in free Open Source GIMP: increase overall contrast, fine tune overall tonality using the Tone Curves tool, sharpen, save, scale image to 6000px wide, sharpen slightly, save, add fine black-and-white frame, add bar and text on left, save, scale image to 2048px wide for posting online, sharpen slightly, save.

Carratraca es un municipio de la provincia de Málaga, en España, situado entre las estribaciones más nororientales de la SerranÃa de Ronda (sierras de AlcaparaÃn, Baños y Aguas).
Es al mismo tiempo una de las puertas septentrionales del Valle del Guadalhorce y territorio fronterizo entre estas dos comarcas y la de Antequera, con la que conecta por Ardales. Su paisaje es de laderas muy abruptas en la sierra de AlcaparÃn y algo más suave en las sierras de Baños y Aguas, cubiertas de pinares y monte bajo y algún que otro olivar allà donde el relieve lo permite. En el fondo del valle que recorre el término municipal de norte a sur, y por el que discurre el arroyo de las Cañas, el campo es de huertas en los márgenes de los arroyos y de cultivos de cereal y olivar entre éstas y el comienzo de las sierras. En el casco urbano de Carratraca destaca poderosamente el conjunto arquitectónico formado por la casa de Doña Trinidad Grund, convertida en Ayuntamiento, y la torre próxima a dicha casa. Desde las terrazas de este conjunto se obtienen bellas panorámicas del entorno.

Cygnus X hosts many young stellar groupings. The combined outflows and ultraviolet radiation from the region's numerous massive stars have heated and pushed gas away from the clusters, producing cavities of hot, lower-density gas.
In this 8-micron infrared image, ridges of denser gas mark the boundaries of the cavities. Bright spots within these ridges show where stars are forming today.

El actual edificio fue mandado construir en 1501 por los Reyes Católicos para atender a los enfermos y peregrinos del divino Xacobe, según se puede leer en la inscripción latina que recorre el friso superior de la portada. Su construcción, no obstante, se decidió ya en 1492 coincidiendo con el descubrimiento de América.
El proyecto de las obras se debe al arquitecto real Enrique Egas. Delante de la fachada podemos ver una fuerte cadena del siglo XVI sostenida por pilares esmeradamente tallados que delimita la propiedad del hospital y que tiene su origen en las disputas de propiedad entre el Ayuntamiento y las autoridades del Hospital. Cuenta con una hermosa portada plateresca obra de los maestros franceses MartÃn de Blas y Guil lén de Colás. En las pilastras de esta portada podemos ver de abajo arriba, las figuras de Adán, Santa Catalina y San Juan Bautista en la izquierda y las de Eva, Santa LucÃa y MarÃa Magdalena en la derecha. En el friso de la puerta, estructurada a modo de arco triunfal romano aparecen alineadas las figuras de los doce apóstoles. En las pechinas sobre el arco podemos ver los medallones que recogen los bustos de los reyes Isabel y Fernando. Sobre el friso, en el cuerpo superior se abre la ventana del Aposento Real, reservado para hospedar a los monarcas cuando acudieran a Compostela y flanqueada por las imágenes de Cristo, la Virgen, Santiago, San Juan Evangelista, San Pedro y San Pablo. Dos grandes escudos, con las armas de Castilla flanquean asà mismo, la portada. Recorriendo todo el frente del edificio vemos los balcones diseñados por fray Tomás Alonso, apoyados en ménsulas muy trabajadas que representan figuras fantasiosas. La cornisa se decora con una minuciosa cadena en la que sobresalen grotescas y obscenas gárgolas.
El espacio interior está estructurado en una planta rectangular con cuatro patios. El más artÃstico de estos patios es el primero que encontramos entrando a la izquierda, en el que destaca sobre todo, la puerta que conduce a la antigua sala de San Luis. El interior del Hostal alberga una hermosa capilla ojival, declarada Monumento Nacional en 1912. La parte más interesante de esta capilla de planta de cruz latina, situada entre los cuatro patios, es el crucero al que se accede a través de un enrejado de hierro de hermosa factura, obra del cerrajero francés Guillén. La bóveda del crucero, confeccionada en piedra litográfica de Coimbra, es de una bellÃsima filigrana.
PeñÃscola es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España, situado en la costa norte de la provincia de Castellón, en la comarca del Bajo Maestrazgo.

La ciudad se sitúa en un tómbolo, una penÃnsula rocosa, en origen unida a tierra solamente por un istmo de arena, que hacÃa fácil su defensa. Sobre la peña se levanta su casco viejo, del que sobresale el castillo del Papa Luna, dividiendo la costa de PeñÃscola en dos mitades absolutamente diferentes.
Dispone de amplias playas tanto al norte como al sur de la penÃnsula del castillo.
En la actualidad el sector turÃstico representa el principal motor económico de la ciudad, y supone una transformación permanente de la misma.
PeñÃscola, en la Costa del Azahar (Castellón), es uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España.
