About “Descendants” Movie
Disney's Descendants takes place in a present-day idyllic kingdom, where the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney's iconic Beauty and the Beast) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making spawn of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents' footsteps and help all the villains regain power, or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom? For more info visit DisneyChannel.com.
Descendants stars Mitchell Hope, Sarah Jeffery, Jedidiah Goodacre, Dianne Doan, Brenna D'Amico, Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce and Sofia Carson

Meeno Peluce
Big breasts, decaying American metal 8's, chickens in pots, the stolen electricity of street carnivals, a reverence for the daily news and health care and education and the human beauty that's "turned out on conveyor belts" as Graham Green said. All of it as seen in Meeno's squares. As if they'd all been pushed like rice into latex gloves, or ghosts into empty department stores or the plush velveteen of color into a favorite easy chair, which is, mind you, is an amazing emblem of personal possession, and played out in baseball games with a taught bag of knots for a ball, and everywhere color and the decay of color into other colors, into the warm natural reclamation by nature, as if you front lawned your horse, or blued your slacks and Tata, as if you were house bound an slow and still beloved by your President C. and your deity Ch.... All of this as seen by Meeno. Cuba.

Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host, Lee Allport, were invited to cover the television movie premiere of "Sofia The First: Once Upon a Princess" and the launch of the Sofia The First illustrated storybook on the lavender carpet at Walt Disney Studios Main Theatre.
Disney introduces a little girl princess named Sofia who (voiced by Ariel Winter) is an average girl whose life suddenly transforms when her mother, Queen Miranda (voiced by Sara Ramirez), marries the king and she becomes a princess. Sofia soon discovers that looking like a princess isn't all that difficult, but displaying honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace is what makes one truly royal. Helping Sofia in her journey are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy - Fauna, Flora and Merryweather (the beloved fairies seen in Disney's classic "Sleeping Beauty") and royal steward, Baileywick (voiced by Tim Gunn), as well as a group of cute woodland creatures led by wise-talking rabbit, Clover (voiced by Wayne Brady). The enchanting animated Disney Junior television movie for the whole family will air November 18 on Disney Channel and November 22 on Disney Junior.

...eventually they were friendly hosts. But not at first; the story:
When I went for the hike up the Shui Jing Po hill I came to a very secluded depression where a path to the foot of the hill ran via a farm. When the lady on the right saw me approaching her she was really terrified in seeing this white stranger. She picked up a bamboo stick to defend herself and backed away. I was rather shocked by her reaction; people have never been afraid of me before or had seen me as a menace. I tried to explain I was just passing through and pointed to the top of the hill to indicate that I wanted to climb it. Very reluctantly she showed me where the path continued on. She backed away again when I extended my hand in trying to break the ice.
Later, when I got back from the hill I saw her again at the farm. But now she had changed; she indicated that I should come in for tea. When I noticed that she wasn't terrified anymore I did come in and sat down. First she brought me a bowl of water and a rag to clean my legs that had bloody scratches from the thorn bushes on the slope of the hill, and then she gave me some small peaches. Later there was tea. We spent a pleasant 15 minutes or so. The pictures I showed her made her laugh. Grandma on the left was having a good time too. I may have been one of the first Westerners they have encountered.

Ambassador Daniel Shapiro hosted Professor Robert Mnookin, Director, Harvard Negotiation Research Project, for a Distinguished American Speaker program at his residence on December 9. Prof. Mnookin spoke about his new book, Bargaining With the Devil: When to Negotiate, When to Fight, engaging an audience of 100, which included many Israeli officials who were involved in Israel’s peace negotiations with her neighbors, as well as professors and students of law, conflict resolution, and negotiation, and Wexner Israel program alumni. Following this program, Professor Mnookin conducted a special workshop for a group of Arab and Jewish high school students from Amal Taibe and Amal Lady Davis in Tel Aviv. The workshop was a rare and exciting opportunity for Israeli high school students to meet a world renowned Professor from one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Even though this was a new level of audience for Professor Mnookin, he enjoyed interacting with the young students while demonstrating various negotiation techniques and applicable methods for teaching mutually satisfying agreements in all facets of life. The workshop also gave the group an opportunity to meet with a distinguished academic and practice new and creative communication skills in English. This ‘exceptional’ workshop was adjunct to a larger program supported by a small PD grant which brought together 180 Arab and Jewish students from 6 high schools to learn negotiation skills.

snapped a few pics with phone camera when back home at dad's, pile of some of my old Target Books Doctor Who novelisations still on the shelves in my old room. Back in the days before home video and cable on demand services these novelisations were the only way fans had to take in older stories, hugely popular back in the day. I still have a couple signed by Tom Baker at at Doctor Who signing when I was a kid.

France Trip - Las Descargues - 27/06/16 to 01/07/16 - Part One - Macro's
Hello all.
I recently got back from a really enjoyable 5 nights of Moth trapping, Butterfly and Bird watching in the Midi-Pyrenees.
I went with good friends Roger and Steve whom accompany me on many trips out in our County or Hertfordshire.
It was decided at the end of last year that we should go for a short week away to sample some of the Moths that would be on offer in South-Wast France.
The article below is copied from Robin Howard's Lot Moths website. He describes it perfectly so didn't feel the need to re-write it!
"The Gite that we stayed in lies in a stunningly beautiful part of the Haute Quercy in the Lot southwest France. Located at the end of a ridge overlooking the Bave Valley it is surrounded by rolling, wooded hills, deep, river-cut gorges and on the nearby Causse, limestone pavement. The proximity of the limestone Causse de Gramat and volcanic Massif Central have produced a complex local geology that has formed the basis for a mosaic of habitats supporting a diverse flora with a rich moth and butterfly fauna. Over 1820 species have been recorded so far from the immediate area with more than 1600 species taken from the environs of the farm alone.
Mercury vapour and actinic traps are run throughout the year in and around the farm with weekly forays made onto the limestone pavement and local poplar plantations, whilst the nearby volcanic peaks are regularly visited during the summer months for the more esoteric species.
For further information regarding holidays and research opportunities at our farm and for a full description of the area and available accommodation please visit our sister site at www.lasdescargues.com or email us for a comprehensive information pack".
Robin and Sue are both fantastic hosts and could not do enough for you, I urge anyone to go there and experience the amazing wildlife that is on offer there.
The species site list is in excess of an incredible 2000 species of Moth! In 16 years that is incredible, and shows how special this habitat really is.
Our target was 300 species and with over 200 Macro's we may just get to the 300 mark with the Micro's still to sort.
We ran 2 static traps in the garden (Both MV 125s) and I brought my 160w MBT Blended bulb on a tripod.
We then had access to a further two traps, an MV Robinson and an Actinic Midi-Robinson which we could take further afield, in fact we tried three further sites.
Macro Moths listed so far...
Species in red are completely new to me
The Micro's are still pending and a lot are so far unnamed!
