the place is the same, only the time is another...take a look at the last pic.

A leafless tree with a scarred trunk and a green bark hosts a cactus in the mountainous desert above the Marañon River in northern Peru.

A host of angels, Ripon Cathedral.

These individually folded paper angels were, as I understand it, originally hung in Ripon Cathedral around the time the Covid business began and have subsequently been left in place, long after they were due to be taken down; and I think that's a very appropriate thing to do.

As with many such large, three-dimensional things a photograph doesn't really do it justice but the ceiling and windows of the Cathedral give something of a sense of scale.

This picture was taken with a Canon Sureshot Z-115. The resulting transparency was later scanned with a Nikon Coolscan film scanner, and the resulting Jpeg recently post-processed using the app "Prisma".

Porta Portese market, Rome, Italy, October 16, 2022

We stayed at the Royal Host during our visit in Las Cruces, and I would highly recommend the place -- large, clean rooms, friendly staff, and right next door to the Pancake Alley diner. Yum!

Espectacular... yo me quiero quedar a vivir aquí!! :-)

Villa Carlos Paz, 30 km far from Cordoba airport in Argentina is, in my opinion, the perfect place to get full relax and quietness. Here I'll expend last days of this 2007.

This inn, 500 mt far from the centrum, is perfect to "recharge batteries" for the new year. I'll try to upload daily photo in order to show you this amazing place. I'd love to live here!!

With their delicate leaves and lovely flowers Bigleaf Lupines are definitely one of my favorite native species. They serve a significant ecological function by hosting a variety of butterfly larvae including silvery blue, painted lady, and orange sulfur.

Taken during photo trip with Soner at Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge.

Please prefer to plant natives in your yards. They are not only beautiful but also have a vital ecological function. They feed the native wildlife that they evolved together with. Biological diversity is declining with a rapid pace, and we must do whatever we can to slow it down. Best way to start might be by planting natives in our yards.
