I originally rejected the photo due to it being out of focus and uninteresting, later I went through the rejected photos to try and find more of the injured Gull, then I saw the hook was was clearly though the bottom of its beak. Ouch.

We found this hook on the end of fishing line hung in the lake. I decided a fish was going ot get stuck on it and felt bad so I took it out and snapped these cute shots of Kasey and Sam.

I happened upon this heavy hook apparatus while walking along Bloor Street in Toronto during my dinner break at work. The ball part is about the size of a basketball so I have to imagine this thing weighs an heck of a lot more than I would care to lift...

I noticed this rusted gook lying on the ground with the asphalt under it and thought the different textures between the hook and the asphalt would be a neat pic.
Photographed is sunrise at Bombay Hook wildlife refuge, Delaware. This is one of my attempts at shooting landscape using the Canon 100-400mm L lens.
